Very disappointed with the lack of communication, organization, and professionalism from this facility. Both of my children were referred, authorized, evaluated, and started the intake process together, yet weeks later we are suddenly being told they must now be scheduled on separate days and different times despite me making my expectations very clear from the beginning. I specifically explained upfront that if these accommodations could not be met, we would seek services elsewhere instead of wasting valuable time waiting through this process. Instead of listening, the office continued the process only to later tell us they could not accommodate what was already discussed. Melva contacted me multiple times only to repeatedly say there was "nothing she can do," which is unacceptable considering this issue was created by the facility's own lack of communication and scheduling consistency. She also refused to provide management or owner contact information when requested, making it even more frustrating to try and resolve the issue professionally. To make matters worse, Zoom appointments were suggested for my son despite being informed he cannot effectively participate in long virtual sessions due to focus and attention difficulties. Families seeking services deserve clear communication, honesty, and respect from the beginning -- especially when dealing with children and lengthy referral/authorization wait times. Zero star rating. I didn't even make it in. The appointment lady said I had to fill out paperwork a day before. Ok, cool. Then I get a text an hour before saying if you don't turn in your paper by 5 your appointment is cancelled. I work evenings and didn't see it until 4:55. I called a couple of times no answer. Then voicemail that said I had more than enough time to complete, yet I had not gotten anything. Dodged a bullet seeing the low ratings. I guess paperwork is bigger than helping children. read more

She repeatedly asked for my available dates, just to inform me they had none. When I pointed out the issue, she laughed on the phone. My daughter has been going to Mi Sueno for about 7years she is 10. From her first session till now she has improved soo much! I am super grateful all the effort and time they give to my daughter. We both love everything about this clinic. Everyone is so friendly, the Therapist all great. I love how their sessions are 30mins. Other Clinics are 1hr at a time. I feel that is a waste of the appointment, 30 mins is the perfect amount of time. We out source from Kaiser and have not had a prob at all. They are on it with the authorizations If they are going to end. If anything it is Kaiser who is taking long to send their part over. They have a good size waiting room. Very clean and every few hours the Receptionist goes into the waiting room and tidy's up. Water available upon request. Over all we love Mi Sueno and go 2x a week. read more

I randomly got a bill in the mail after calling to inquire about their services for my child. I called for a correction and the customer service representative took care of my concern within minutes. I was very pleased with their service and if I did choose to use their service in the future, I would be happy knowing that they do provide great customer care. read more

I actually haven't been to this location. I take my son to the Arcadia office. But I was told the therapists work in both locations. My son has been working with Genevieve for over 6 months and he has improved so much. He was having trouble with pronunciation and didn't like to read out loud. Now he is comfortable reading and really enjoys it. His grades have improved and his confidence has soared! Since I'm paying out of pocket, I wish they would offer package deals, instead of paying per session. read more

Mi Sueno speech therapy clinic supports their staff and interns well. They provide excellent materials for treatment and evaluations. As such, they continue to buy materials to better support the clients. In addition, they support constantly learning and applying best practices. Norma, the office manager, is very friendly and is also willing to help if questions arise. She also provides waters, coffee, and tea via a Keurig and the occasional yummy treat. Out of all of my graduate school internships, my experience at Mi Sueno was superb. They went above and beyond to meet my expectations. I would highly recommend this clinic to future staff, interns, and clients. read more

I been bringing my 5 1/2 yr old son for the past 6 months to the Covina location. When we first started we would see any therapist available and we were getting discouraged because we didn't see any progress. These past two months we been exclusively with speech therapist Allison!! And OMG! We love her, our son loves her. We were able to see the instant connection between both of them. She's everything we love; silly, loud, and patient. She knows when to be pushy, she knows when he's had enough, and accommodates to his learning methods. And started on personal goals to work with him. We have seen big improvements since we started with her! I finally got to hear my son say "mom", "dad", "bro" And a handful of other words. We are extremely lucky to have found her.. truly recommend her you won't be disappointed. As a whole, I haven't encountered any problems with Mis Suenos. I'm able to cancel appointments with no problem, love the text reminders and front office personnel are friendly and easy to talk to. read more

I take my grandson to the S Pasadena location. The therapist are great, the receptionist are friendly, and the owner is visible and courteous. My grandson looks forward to therapy each week. They have treats for children and adults in the waiting room. Looking forward to making more progress at this clinic. 30 minute sessions are perfect. read more

This place is unprofessional. The office staff is a joke they do not listen to requests and not willing to work with you. I called made an appointment and 3 days before I was going to start my sessions, they called me and said due to a system error the appointment I already had for over two weeks I did not have anymore. They did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. Just a whole bunch of useless "I apologize" and "I'm sorry's" were said. I was not able to reschedule or get an appointment. My son has been going here twice a week for the last 2 months and I am very pleased with his progress. At my son's 3 year wellness check, I mentioned my concern to his pediatrician that his speech is not as advanced as other kids his age. He was constantly cutting off the second half of every word, making it very difficult to understand him. She referred us to a hearing and speech evaluation, who eventually approved speech therapy. My son visits Ms. Martha and she is amazing with him. She was able to establish a good rapport with him immediately and he felt comfortable with her. He has 30 minute sessions but they are packed with exercises, drills and lessons disguised as playtime. By the end of the session, he is exhausted. My son loves going and he has drastically improved. She also gives us drills and games to practice at home and I can see a huge difference. The front office staff is very friendly and they never miss giving me a reminder call the day before his session. The waiting area is filled with tons of toys for the kids and magazines for the adults (I don't even need to buy magazines because I catch up on all of the latest world news and Hollywood gossip while I wait.) read more

So there were 2 statements in my review that was misguided information 1. They do not charge if you cancel an appointment regardless of when it's cancelled they only charge for service if a service wasn't provided you won't be charged. They will however take you off of their patient list for excess no shows. ( I was misinformed by the receptionist the owner clarified) 2. All of their therapist are licensed according to the owner with whom I spoke directly. When the therapist relayed to me her apologies and told me she was in training she did not mean she was a trainee and not licensed she meant she was new to the facility not to therapy. ( I was misinformed by the therapist the owner clarified) So after constant harassment from the owner Norma Lopez about this review I have chosen to end services with Mi Sueño speech therapy. She basically threatened me and told me if I didn't keep updating and changing my review to fit her view on things I couldn't continue to send my son there. she asked me why I would continue to send my son to her facility if it is so terrible. Here's why Norma (other moms who have kids in therapy will understand this) the answer is really quite simple. You have a TERRIBLE FACILITY and a GREAT THERAPIST. She is going part time or leaving(hopefully) so there is no reason for me to continue services with this place. Norma is unprofessional and so is her staff. She bashed her therapist to me telling me she was surprised that I liked My therapist because a lot of people complain about her accent. Her staff never apologized for being unprofessional or rude. Seriously don't waste your time on this place. All the things we have to go through with the insurance the staff here is just another hurdle. One more update I never added because I refused to take down my review Norma informed me I could not return to her facility. Apparently even free speech comes with a price. So unfortunately I was unable to have services for my son for a big because she wouldn't allow me to stay while I found another and to be honest I had no interest to stay other than the need for routine for my son. read more

I worked with Mi Sueno as a Speech Pathologist and intern. It was a great experience! I learned so much from Mrs. Lopez-Rivera and am very thankful for the time I spent working within her clinics. Mrs. Lopez-Rivera shared her wisdom, experience, and knowledge base with me, to become a better clinician. I can honestly say Mi Sueno Speech Therapy truly cares about their clients. They put forth the utmost effort, time, hard work, and devotion in working with clients with speech and language disorders, resulting in great treatment success. What I think is wonderful, is they provide families with the resources to be successful with their children at home. Families are involved in therapy sessions and therapy activities are geared individually to the clients' needs. I definitely recommend!! read more

My son only had a hand full of session and the therapist were great, my problem was with their billing and how the manager handled my issue. I was told when my son first started that telemedicine would have no copay from my insurance so decided on that route. On his first scheduled session I received a bill so I cancelled that appointment and had someone in billing call the insurance about it on a Friday and received a call back on a Monday with the claims that there would be no copay again. I continued his twice a week sessions for two more weeks and then get a call saying I owe for the telemedicine visits. When I asked to speak to a manager about it Dannie called me back and had no answers for me, only that my insurance decided to change its policy on cost sharing and I now owe. When I called my insurance they claimed there was always a copay. He didn't acknowledge the mistakes made on their part. I won't be taking my son there given the manager can't take accountability. read more

This review is for Diana B and Mi Sueño. I have been coming to mi Sueño for almost 2 years and both my kids have been seen by Diana. From the beginning to my kid's last session Diana was always as excited as my kids were to see her. You can truly see Diana's hard work, commitment, and passion she has for every child she sees. Besides working with your child's needs she goes above and beyond simply by asking questions and providing you with at home tools and worksheets. In addition, Diana truly has a genuine personality that most teachers should encompass since I think that most teachers get lost with rules and regulations and forget about personality traits. Finally, Diana will get to know your student and create a special bond that will prove success to her teaching techniques and skills. Now to review Mi Sueño, they are a great agency to work with since they always try to accommodate your appointment times and make-up classes. They provide 30-minute sessions with your preferred therapist. Their entire staff is always friendly and polite. Teacher Innette is also another great teacher that work with my kids and I am pleased to say my children have been reaching new goals and vocabulary. I was left waiting with my son for an evaluation for close to an hour. I finally left and Norma, the owner called and was giggling as she apologized because her meeting ran long. I told her my son lost class time and she said well I should've brought him in during the holiday break. I told her I have other kids I'd have to bring in with me and wasn't wanting to do that, it'd be too distracting. I found her unprofessional and immature (giggling, really?!). There's plenty of other speech therapy clinics, I don't recommend this one. Us parents to children with special needs put up with enough we shouldn't have to endure such blatant disrespect. read more
