Yesterday was his Birthday & when we came to visit him they had Birthday Balloons for him at his bedside. I go everyday to see him, I bring him his LATimes News Paper and it's nice because the facility is only a few blocks from our home. Everyone who works there is Fantastic & Amazing. They know my Brother by name. It's sad to see some of the bad reviews online. I have seen with my own eyes "Everyday" when I go there. This Facility is great. We Thank God for each person that works there. They show love, compassion & outstanding quility of care for everyone who lives there. We Pray my Brother will gain his mobility back so he can come home. He had 2 strokes earlier this year in March & in June. We are grateful for the Physical Therapy Dept. that has encouraged & helped my brother learn & gain some of his mobility back day by day at this Facility. Multiple times we found him sitting for hours in a diaper soaked with urine, and sometimes with feces as well. His clothes would also be soiled, and staff often would not change him until a family member specifically told them to. Almost every time I visited, the hallway floor where his room was located smelled strongly like feces as soon as I got off the elevator. I hoped it was not coming from him, but as I got closer to his room, the smell would get worse and it often was him left unchanged. No patient should be left like that for hours. Many patients were left in bed all day everyday with little to no activity or engagement. Our experience was heartbreaking and I would not recommend this facility based on how my loved one was cared for.

The next problem was with scheduling, a host of unconfirmed dates and periods of no contact at all, just left out to dry. Next up is billing. In one instance i reciewed 3 (three) emails the same day for a past due and I would attempt to pay it online and the site would not accept the payment. I call a billing phone number and am told we don't handle that office, you need to call that location instead and I call and am told the online billing site is experiencing some problems but, let me check with billing and she comes back and says you have a zero balance. Lastly and the final straw for me is I get a bill in the mail for a "follow up" visit the same day I get a text to schedule the follow up visit. I again attempt to pay the amount online and it again does not accept my payment. I just got off the phone with them about scheduling the "follow up" appointment and explain the bill in the mail and text to schedule and am told again online billing is having problems (the last time I was told this was 6 weeks ago) so again she checks my account and she tells me I have a zero balance. Don't waste your time with this company, save yourself the frustration!

But they could never keep an OT aide at there West Covina office for very long. I think in the 2 years we were there he went through 3 OT aides. But there was always a billing issue with my insurance. And it always created a bigger issue. They would always charge me for the most recent session before the EOB was even cleared. At one point I had to keep track of my deductible and what they were charging. And in the end they had to reimburse me about 120 dollars for over charges. Then I noticed that I was getting EOB under my name for the services and not my son's name. And since I owed to much money they decided to put my sons services on hold. After that we did not go back to the clinic it was super frustrating.

There aren't many in the ST clinics in the area that services adults, and seems like DV would be a good fit, right? No. They never got back to me after I left a voicemail, filled out a new client inquiry, and emailed them on their website portal. I've even left a 1 star review on google to see if they would respond. Nothing. Still no response after several months. The lack of communication makes it difficult for caregivers to seek services for their loved ones who really need specific therapies to improve their QoL. This is ridiculous and a huge disservice for potential clients seeking help.
