Was the worse experience ever, I have call in the DG Therapy and want to cancel my kid appointment because the school notify me that my kid is not feeling good and must send to nurse office 20 minutes before the school end. The receptionist on the phone keeps telling me to pay for $30 for cancellation fee even though I have call in. I keep telling the receptionist I will check on my kid if she okay I will continue to bring her to the class. In the case, if she is feeling sick or having a fever, I would not bring her to the OT section and ending the phone conversation. After I got home, my kid not even have fever, and I decided to take my kids to the OT therapy section. It's took me 40-45 minutes to drive there on one way due to the traffic time and not includes I take a few hours off from my work to make it there. It's ending up the supervisor's name Evelyn turn my kids away due to her own assuming/prediction of the sickness. Evelyn is very rude, unprofessional, incompetence and she also has a bad attitudes manner would like to criticism for everyone. She could assuming and prediction everything due to her bad mode. The worst case is the DG therapy didn't care of the kids they are care of the benefit for their business and the money that they are charge for the fees of any reason. Not even that, the DG therapy keep changing the new teachers for my kids seen I have been there for 7 seven months ago. read more

Very unprofessional. Our therapist got transferred out and it's been almost 3 months since they told us to wait for a replacement. Also called two days before an appointment about being sick and waiting to get tested for covid and they called me the day of the appointment reminding me to come in. They said that my call two days prior telling them we would not be there was not in their system. There seems to always something wrong when you talk to them and the people in the office are very rude and always have bad attitudes. read more

My son Axel was diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasia and developmental delay. He is 2 1/2 and barely started walking. I believe that it is with the guidance and help of Ms. Romina he has excelled so much. He does PT, OT and speech at DG therapy. I love all his teachers and even the ones I didn't feel were a good fit for axel, I was able to switch without a problem. They always keep me informed with what's going on at the clinic and call me even for the smallest of details. They have kept his health at the forefront during this pandemic. I've never encountered an issue with rescheduling, although there is a $30 cancellation fee if done the day of, however I understand it's a policy and it is disclosed when you fill out the paper work. I've had bith if my kiddos coming here for over 2 years now. The therapist have all been WONDERFUL so far. Unfortunately I can not say the same about the feo t office staff. They seem to have a VERY high turn over rate, since it seems like there is someone new EVERYDAY. It's pretty frustrating because the people that do know what they are doing always seem to be "training" these people AND trying to do the work too. Wish the management would put proper training into the front office staff, since they are the ones that clients have to deal with for scheduling and check in issues. My son has been receiving services at DG Therapy for over a year. At first it was only Occupational Therapy (OT), but starting a few months ago we added Physical Therapy (PT) as well. I have nothing but nice things to say about the staff at DG. I saw a comment below about the employees walking around without shoes and that being unprofessional, and I think that needs more explaining. They ask the kids to take off their shoes as well, it's to keep the therapy rooms and equipment clean and in good condition for all their patients. Monica who calls me to schedule or reschedule appointments is great and very understanding of the fact that we have a super packed schedule with my son due to his needs. She is not pushy and always tries to accommodate us. Karley, my son's OT therapist, is the nicest/sweetest person. She is super patient with him, and in the year that she's been with him he's made a number of wonderful improvements. Diana and Floribel have worked with my son for PT, and although it was a rough start and only a few months in he has made great strides as well. I will continue to bring my son to DG as long as we see him making positive changes in his development and as long as my interaction with the staff continues to be a positive one. read more

This place is amazing!!! Thanks to Romina my daughter was able to crawl and walk and run and climb. She had PT from birthday to 3 years old. What a difference a dedicated therapist does! my daughter was born with DiGeorge syndrome and she was delayed in all her areas(including a feeding tube until she was 4) now she is a regular Kindergarten class the only therapy she still does is speech. She got her firsts steps at 2 years old. There is hope in every child and family, do not give up, DG therapy is the best place to be. DG therapy has been amazing to help my son's development after a perinatal hypoxia episode. Natalie the case manager has been very helpful with scheduling our online appointments (we have been doing zoom therapy sessions). Romina, his therapist, has been excellent, she is so enthusiastic with my baby boy even through remote therapy. He has been advancing very quickly and meeting all his milestones and more and I feel Romina has been as proud of him as we are. She takes a deep interest in her patients and is always there encouraging him to go further. I highly recommend DG therapy and Romina. read more

I came in today to have a make up session for my daughter. I signed in and asked the receptionist for the forms for my sons 1st day of speech session which will be tomorrow (Tuesday) the response I get is that they dont have him on the system. I informed them I spoke with Vanessa and confirmed an appointment with a therapist name Angelica/Angela. How is it that I know the therapist name and no record found for my sons prior authorization. I been confirmed this appointment for about a month already. Honestly I need to find a new location. Some of the therapist here dont seem like they love their job. I know my daughter loves her therapist, but if they cant get things right with one individual, that shows a lot. (It unprofessional when the therapists walk around the office with no shoes as if they are home when calling their clients to start sessions.) I just should of gone with others opinion before expecting to come here. I hope I can find something for my son soon since they cant get things straight, and when I do my daughter will no longer come here. read more

A year later, and I now have 2 children attending DG Therapy. For my second child, I gave another agency a try just to see what else was out there, but DG truly has more experienced and better equipped therapists by far. I have been exposed to a variety of therapists in different fields (SP, OT, PT, ABA, etc), and now feel that I can gauge when they are efficient and helpful for my children. I work with 2 different SP's and both are different in their personalities and approaches, but my children respond well to both. I have to say, it is also very important to be involved as a parent. Ask questions, observe sessions, participate in sessions, and continue the work at home. SP's can only do so much in an hour session once or twice a week, we as parents have to continue the work at home and beyond for our children to see any benefits. If you see that the therapist is not right for your child, don't be afraid to speak up and ask for a different one. Children also need an opportunity to get used to the therapist. It's difficult to see progress after just one session. I am very grateful for DG Therapy and all the work they have done and will continue to do with my children. read more

This company cares about profit and money not children. My family got ill and had to be COVID tested and quarantine. I didn't call to cancel because it was the last thing on my mind and got charged a $30 no show fee. Maria the Kaiser representative there refused to waive it despite proof of being in urgent care and threw in my face that I've canceled before. They have canceled on me in the past as well so they are full of crap. Do yourself and kid a favor and go elsewhere. I ended up paying the $30 and taking my son elsewhere. read more

Was the worse experience ever .with company they were given therapy to my daughter one the employee was so rough with her she left her fingerprinter on daughter's legs because my daughter was not bending her legs the way she wanted to. The case manager Tony is very responsible. He coordinate well and respond quickly. The Occupational Therapy Carla is super. She is very patient, very gentle, and get alone with my child so well. I think the most important thing is kid likes her and is willing to learn while playing with her. She doesn't make kids feel stressful. I am so glad to get help by Carla. I am not sure why the rating was low, but from my experiences, what they do are wonderful. Highly recommend Carla. read more

Really disappointed with this program. DG doesn't care about what is best for your child. They just want to lock you into their program and collect the insurance money and rack up "no show" fees for appointments that you never scheduled. Several people have told me that they've been much happier with Achieve Beyond, I should have tried them first. I explained to them from day 1 that this was really a trial run for us since my child has other treatment options available and he needs help in several areas so we need to prioritize his care and find the best treatments for him without overwhelming him with too many appointments. The first therapist they offered seemed inexperienced and unprepared. We arrived 15mins early but our session started 10mins late. The therapist hadn't reviewed my son's evaluation at all. She's didn't even know his age. She was completely unprepared to work with someone his age. The room we were in was impossible to work in as one wall was all windows, facing street, you could hear the traffic, and had long blinds. We spent more than half the session trying to get my son away from the window and on task. When I told here that the sights and sounds from the window were overstimulating and my son wouldn't be able to work in that room, she was dumbfounded and seemed to have no idea what I meant. So I scheduled a trial session with 2nd a therapist the next week. This went a lot better. However, the case worker never called me to follow up and see if my concerns were alleviated and if I wanted to continue with weekly sessions with this particular therapist. They just went ahead and booked me permanently with this therapist after I specifically told them not to and then tried to accuse me the next week of being a "no show." It took a 15min phone call with the case worker to get her to cancel the upcoming appointments. I had to explain to her several times that I did not want to have permanent appointments scheduled at this point. That I wanted to have my son's case on hold for another week while I reviewed the other programs available to him. read more

We receive service from DG through the regional center. For some reasons, our service coordinator didn't do her job well, either keeping in touch with us or finding a therapist in timely manner. So after I got a call from DG, I tried my best to cling onto them and make schedule with a therapist (which would start 3 weeks after the call day). Guess what? On the first day of schedule, no one showed up, I had cancelled many things for the session but no one came at all. I called in to ask and got the answer that it was because our service cordinator hadn't released authorization to DG yet (no appology, no heads up about the issue, just blaming all to the regional center). I didn't care about this at that time because I was more mad at our service coordinator. Until I've seen and compared a therapist from DG and another therapist from another company, it's clearly to me that DG therapist's schedule is always booked full, which results that it's hard to do make up sessions when your child is sick and you have to cancel the appointments. And they said "we don't HAVE TO do make up sessions, but we TRY TO if we have any AVAILABLE". So, if you know your kid will have to cancel the sessions for weeks or months, better go look for different therapy company. Another one is DG's therapist doesn't stay more than 45 minutes (the regional center told us it's supposed to be an hour long therapy session), they said the rest of the time is for paperwork filling. However, the therapist from different compay is willing to stay with us more than an hour, and her schedule is more flexible. I understand different companies have different policies. Different case managers have different ability to handle situations. Different therapists have different points of view and levels of enthusiasm. But after all, I prefer to work with another therapy company. I don't want to punch in the names of each individual here because after all, each of them needs to make money to support their family. And lessons/feedbacks are not only for the ones who made mistakes but also for every other one who is doing the same jobs. read more

Romina & Jay Our journey started over a year ago my daughter was born with Torticollis; which is a tightening in the neck and didn't allow her too much movement. But with the help of Romina she was helping with stretches and exercises at home to help her start crawling. Then around August 2018 during a therapy session my daughter suffered a seizure and that was the most scariest thing I had to experience as a mother but with the whole staff of DG Therapy Group helping us from calling the ambulance and trying to calm me and my mother down from this; but I can honestly say that Romina was my daughter's angel because without her being there my child might not even be here now, because she was starting to turn blue and wasn't moving at all. But now a year later she is walking and running around like crazy! I'm so thankful for having such an amazing staff and helping my daughter learn how to use her motor skills. This place by far is the worst. Brought my 2 year to get speech therapy. And just from the 1st impression was what I should have decided not to bring my son back! The "girl" my son got I can't even call her a professional speech therapist or therapist at all was just very unprofessional she didn't introduce herself didn't provide any kind of policy to me nor did she even give me info in case we needed to reschedule. I decided to bring my son back the following week with a open mind and thought hey the girl just wants to get to know my son first and then maybe the talk will come nope I felt like I was being more of a therapist with my son then what the girl was trying to do. Still uneasy I came back 3rd times a charm and just the unprofessionalism I got was what broke the straw. If you bring your child into this place be aware of the unprofessionalism. I used to work there, they dont care about accomodating your kids needs or scehdules. They care about the money and how fast you can schedule your kid. The managment there was horrible. Not sure if the old management is still there but I remember they would hire and fire staff for no reason. That place is is also very unsanitary for children. I remember they had a giant roach problem. Also they would fire nice employees and keep the bad ones...it never made sense, glad im outta there. read more

I was referred to DG therapy by the Regional Center. My child was 5 months at the time and needed PT and an evaluation for OT. One representative by the name of Lauren called and said PT would start 7/12 by the way let me mention I was going to their facility with twins. 7/12 came and I had no address to where their location was. I called my service coordinator and informed her again because prior to this I had called about the address and within 5 mins Lauren calls and tell me that she mailed a letter out to me on 7/6 that PT would start on 7/19. No letter had been received so I had no idea. A simple phone call would of done the job. However when I asked why has the date from 7/12 been changed to 7/19, she says the therapist wasn't available! Really? Before you inform people of dates I think you'd check with the therapist first, it's only common sense. Apparently not. Not only did she not communicate with me professionally, she lied about sending a letter out. No letter was mailed on 7/6, they were mailed out on 7/11 and 7/12. The day before I spoke to her and the day I spoke to her. How unprofessional! read more

This is where I first started therapy with my child. The OT therapists was amazing my son loved him unfortunately when we left he thought he put the wrong diagnose on his report and it took forever to get resent. Every time you call the front desk no one answers and when they do you get placed on hold forever and sent to voicemail. Our speech therapists was very inconsistent she took a lot of vacation, sick time training time and would always cancel last minute. The supervisors or managers are so hard to get a hold of most of the time or do not return calls. they are very strict with their no show policy and tardiness and missing appointments even in emergency situations Think Twice! Their schedule is slim pickings. I did like this place because you can get many services done at once here if you need different types of therapies and they close late and our open on the weekends. We just needed consistency and did not find it here. Also they change therapists a lot and front desk staff. read more

Avoid this place if you can. Yes, they seem friendly and all, but their policies are absolutely ridiculous. Their 3 strike policy is bullshit. They should understand that with children UNEXPECTED things happen.... Kids don't feel good, they get sick, etc. Also, they don't believe in making up missed sessions. The therapist my son had missed a session due to a family emergency. I was told someone would call me to schedule a make up. Nobody ever called me. When I followed up they told me that his therapist was booked and didn't have time to do a make up. I asked to get someone else or to allow me to take him to the center; they weren't agreeable to this. After about a month, they told me that they wouldn't be making up the session because they had to so it within the same month. First of all, my son missed the session because they cancelled on us, not the other way around. So whether they had availability within the same month or not, they should have provided the make up session eventually. I hate the fact that if you cancel they get all strict and bring up their 3 strike policy. However, if they cancel on you, it's no big deal and don't even provide a make up. That's BULLSHIT!! I was so upset that I pulled my son from this place and went to My Voice in Whittier. They are BEYOND amazing. If you are having issues with DG, move your kids somewhere else. They deserve a better company than this one. read more

She is so very understanding in every aspect of her job. Extremely comfortable to be around and feel confident in her abilities. Was referred by regional center. professional staff and clean office. Fatima is my daughters speech therapist & my daughter has learned so much with her. Only thing I don't like about this agency is that if you don't cancel within 24 hours ahead of time you get a strike. Once you get 3 stikes your case is sent back. Emergency's happen all the time & the agency should be more understanding. Simply the best! I cannot say enough good things about DG Therapy. The therapist and Admin. Staff are kind, curtious and friendly. They are always very welcoming to my son and I. I have a 2 year old with Down Syndrom who receives PT and OT. OT with Andrew who always has a smile and advise to give. He is funny, friendly, hard working and positive. Not to mention Romina the physical therapist, my salutes to her. Ever since she started to work with my son a year ago he has showed tremendous improvement overall, she is always willing to go an extra mile to help my little one. I have a child with Dow syndrome that requires a lot of different therapies, having a child with a condition is overwhelming, fortunately my baby was referred to Dg therapy! They have been very helpful, professional and compassionate. Romina is the physical therapist that sees my baby she is truly a God send!!! there are no words that can ever express how grateful i am for her she has gone above and beyond to help my baby. The knowledge, determination and love that she has showed has made the biggest difference in my baby's physical improvements. Most of the therapist here are pretty good (really great with the kids and very professional) but the scheduling can become problematic because they often call to reschedule to accommodate the therapist, instead of the child. read more

We really like our daughter's speech therapist, Ashley! She is so sweet and good. However i do not like their policy that if you're child missed a session they call it a strike! Even if there is a doctor's note! Even now my daughter was sent home from school for a fever of 103.3. Their policy is if you have 3 strikes they will kick you out, unless you reschedule soon. My daughter has aba sessions everyday and it's just hard to find time to reschedule something. Really bad! No consideration! Where is the heart? read more

Regional center referred me to this place for son to have speech therapy and OT. The speech therapist my son got was unbelievable. My son, who was 2 at the time, is overly friendly and will usually gets close to people to get a hug or some kind of affection. This woman took it at as him invading her space and inappropriately cleaning himself on her (which he wasn't, because he would do the same thing with the sitter). Did I also mention that she raised her voice at my son during the sessions? I'm sorry but if you don't like working with kids you need to work with a different age group. Out of everyone that my son is around whether it be a teacher or sitter, none have ever complained about my son other than he is trying to get attention or be affectionate and because ultimately they understand kids and they love kids. Also, my son never really had a consistent speech therapist or OT. No one was ever available during my availability at home or at his day care. There were never any make ups at all either. read more
