Her report was detailed, clinically strong, and has been an invaluable document across all of Dylan's providers and evaluations. Ms. Verenice has been incredible in our twice-weekly sessions. I did not have a…read moregood experience with the speech therapist who was assigned to treat my daughter for the following reasons: 1. The speech therapist was constantly late to my daughter's appointments, but always left right on time. I got so tired of this that I reached out to our care coordinator at the regional center. Only then did she start showing up on time. 2. The therapy is play based, but it seemed like the speech therapist always showed up with the same toys. If you're using the toys to introduce new words then shouldn't you switch it up a little bit? Wouldn't that help my daughter's vocabulary grow? I again had to contact our care coordinator for assistance. 3. It was raining one day and I got a text from the speech therapist saying that she didn't want her toys to get wet, so they would just use my daughter's toys. This honestly made me laugh because she used a suitcase that zipped all the way around to transport her toys. 4. The speech therapist, a single woman with no children in her early twenties, would often try to give me parenting advice. It was always unsolicited. I certainly wouldn't go to someone like her for advice on how to raise my child. 5. The speech therapist would often refer to my daughter as "Bud"...I am actually still trying to figure this one out. It made absolutely no sense. Who still uses that word and don't you know her real name? I finally asked for a different provider and my daughter was cleared shortly thereafter. The only advice that I have for other mothers is to listen to your intuition. If it feels like someone assigned to treat your child just isn't the right fit then don't wait as long as I did.

Long overdue review of Chatterbox. It's been about a year since we left Chatterbox, but I'm very…read morethankful for the services that they provided to my son. When my son was 3 years old, I brought him to Chatterbox since he was no longer developing verbally. In fact, he had regressed badly in preschool, and was largely not verbal there during the day. We later had him diagnosed with autism (ASD), and were able to pursue other services, but at the time, all we had was Chatterbox. After the initial intake with Courtney, he was accepted as a patient, and we got on the schedule pretty quickly. I don't believe it is this available or open normally, so I guess we got lucky. We set goals and we were coming to Chatterbox for 30 minute sessions (really 25 minutes) twice a week. We worked on some basic things, but given the later ASD diagnosis, we did what we could here. The end result was that after almost a year, he was verbal again and we met some of our goals. I didn't mind continuing with Chatterbox, but by that point, my son's needs were greater in other areas, so most of his time afterschool was allocated to behavior therapy instead. All in all, we are very thankful for the services that Chatterbox provided. Eternally grateful for the services delivered by Marina, Denny, Amanda, and Jenn. Also thankful to Priscilla for being great to work with from a scheduling and administrative perspective. Anyone who comes here will know right away that the parking lot is comical. The entrance on Cherry actually features bi-directional traffic, even though it's only wide enough for a single vehicle. If I do manage to get in this way, I'll do a quick pass through the lot, and if no spots, I'll make a right in the alleyway and another right on Reagan St., then another right back onto Katella, where there is usually street parking in front of the dentist.

Families deserve communication, accountability, and compassion. Based on this experience, I would never recommend this facility to parents of children with autism.

But this school really helps kids from infants to their adulthood with learning disabilities. The preschool, in particular, is for everyone. What is really helpful, they use the same helpful techniques for children with learning disabilities in their curriculum. It is like equipping the teachers with super learning powers. It is really to accelerate the learning process. I love how diverse the students who attend this school and teacher ratio is amazing. You have the option of sending your child in for 2xs or 3xs or 4xs or the full the week. The cost to send your child there is extremely reasonable. I was so surprised! Their school schedule is like Centralia's school schedule and has summer school as an option. The only reason why my son has not enrolled yet is my son is receiving certain services from our insurance that is practically the whole day. Once those services go away, we certainly enroll him. I would just schedule a tour and once you go on it, you will be thrilled and ensured that you want your child to attend their preschool program. Oh yeah, their OT class gym is amazing. You should ask for it when you go on the tour to check it out.

We've had the opportunity to work with several wonderful therapists, and we're grateful for all of them. I'd also like to mention his speech therapists, Ms. Dana and Ms. Jena, and Mr. Joseph (OT therapist) to who have been such an important part of his progress. They've taken the time to get to know my son, incorporate his interests into each session, and keep him engaged and motivated to learn. They also do a great job keeping us involved by sharing his progress after each session and giving us ideas for what we can continue working on at home. Watching my son grow in his communication skills has been incredibly rewarding. We know that progress didn't happen overnight, and we're so grateful for the patience, encouragement, and dedication his therapists have shown him. I am the aunt of a child who received services at Progress Speech and Language. I am writing as a…read morewitness to share how the front desk experience with receptionist Teresa, has been consistently unprofessional and inappropriate. On multiple occasions, Teresa ignored us at check-in and check-out because she was talking on her personal phone or sometimes because she is chatting with others. She always makes us wait without acknowledgment, and when we did approach the desk, she was visibly irritated and made rude facial expressions. Worse, Teresa is always spoking loudly about other clients and their children, mocking and making disrespectful comments where everyone could hear. She was even talking incredibly loud about her own personal matters, including how she's having a baby, getting tax money, and was being mad because her baby's father gives money to his other child's mother -- all conversations we can hear in the waiting room. The last incident was especially upsetting: she openly gossiped about my niece, and her parents by name to another staff member while we were sitting right there. This made us feel disrespected and humiliated in a place where families should feel supported and safe. I want to make it clear that this type of unprofessional conduct will cost you clients and money. Families will refuse to come to a place where they feel mocked, disrespected, and gossiped about. As Kaiser members, we have already filed formal complaints about this establishment, and we sincerely hope you take immediate action before more families choose to leave for good.
