My 8 year old daughter was being teased about not being able to say her R's. Adults and children…read morealike would mimic her speech and a rude child on the soccer field pointed out the irony that her name had R's in it but she couldn't say them. Her name begins and ends with R, and she began to avoid saying her name when introducing herself or when people would ask her name. This broke my heart and solidified the need to seek speech therapy. She began therapy in February 2024 with Mikayla, and by October/November she had made drastic improvements in the ability to say R's but the habit of saying R sounds the old way was hard to break. It is now January 2025 and our insurance has changed so she is no longer able to attend therapy, but I am so happy to report that she has now mostly broken the habit of saying R's the old way all on her own without reminders, and most importantly can confidently say her own name. I also want to thank Karen for her diligence in working with my insurance company getting the claims paid. Without her extra work getting sessions covered we would not have been able to afford services. I am so grateful to Let's Talk Speech & Language Therapy for helping my daughter.

Highly recommend them! He saw Melissa M. once and she was amazing too. When Regional Center stopped paying for his speech therapy due to aging out, my husband and I paid out of pocket. I would pay via Venmo. When it got too expensive, I decided to stop services as he was already going to preschool and getting speech therapy there. I received a phone call from billing assistant Jennifer that I owed for three service dates, which was fine. So I paid via credit card. She claimed I didn't pay for some of the dates and that they never received payment from Venmo, but I was happy to provide proof. She asked me to text it to their phone number which was their main line. Okay, I texted all the screenshots. FOUR months has gone by and I receive a phone call from her that they never received the proof. She applied the credit card payment to a date that I had already paid through Venmo. I'm trying to call and email her to get this resolved- no answer. I called the Los Alamitos office multiple times and even asked to speak to the billing manager. The front desk told me the number that Jennifer wanted me to text the info. to was the landline and they can't get texts.... uhm okay.... so I asked for an alternative number so they can forward the information to the billing manager Sarah. I even screenshot my bank account activity, Venmo activity, and a typed Word document of services dates + payment dates. Finally I received a phone call from Sarah that it was entered incorrectly and the balance is $0. It's crazy how I had to take initiative and multiple attempts to get this resolved. If they didn't forward the info to Sarah, it may still go on and on! Please fire or move Jennifer to a different role as she is obviously incapable of this job.

Long overdue review of Chatterbox. It's been about a year since we left Chatterbox, but I'm very…read morethankful for the services that they provided to my son. When my son was 3 years old, I brought him to Chatterbox since he was no longer developing verbally. In fact, he had regressed badly in preschool, and was largely not verbal there during the day. We later had him diagnosed with autism (ASD), and were able to pursue other services, but at the time, all we had was Chatterbox. After the initial intake with Courtney, he was accepted as a patient, and we got on the schedule pretty quickly. I don't believe it is this available or open normally, so I guess we got lucky. We set goals and we were coming to Chatterbox for 30 minute sessions (really 25 minutes) twice a week. We worked on some basic things, but given the later ASD diagnosis, we did what we could here. The end result was that after almost a year, he was verbal again and we met some of our goals. I didn't mind continuing with Chatterbox, but by that point, my son's needs were greater in other areas, so most of his time afterschool was allocated to behavior therapy instead. All in all, we are very thankful for the services that Chatterbox provided. Eternally grateful for the services delivered by Marina, Denny, Amanda, and Jenn. Also thankful to Priscilla for being great to work with from a scheduling and administrative perspective. Anyone who comes here will know right away that the parking lot is comical. The entrance on Cherry actually features bi-directional traffic, even though it's only wide enough for a single vehicle. If I do manage to get in this way, I'll do a quick pass through the lot, and if no spots, I'll make a right in the alleyway and another right on Reagan St., then another right back onto Katella, where there is usually street parking in front of the dentist.

South Coast Therapy is amazing. Prior to South Coast Therapy, we really struggled finding a…read moretherapist that understood how to work with my son due to his escape behaviors (eloping) and sensory challenges. We tried several places and were getting nowhere with his therapy. He was even "let go" from a few places because they couldn't figure out how to get him to cooperate! It was unbelievable and I was so discouraged. Finally, we discovered South Coast Therapy. What a difference! There was no threat of "letting him go" due to non-compliance in any of their paperwork or sign up protocol and they were extremely supportive of his needs! After meeting Grace for OT the first time, I knew that she not only cared about what she was doing and about him, but she had the correct tools and techniques to help regulate him and motivate him to work/play! At this center, you get a scheduled time and get to see the same therapist (I know some places, don't provide a slot and you have to keep calling or you get different therapists or assistants to the therapist) at each appointment. This is HUGE for kids like my son who need routine and relationship to move forward. The less change the better when it comes to his therapy! However, if you have to reschedule or if they don't have a standing appt. at start up, they are great at helping you find a day and time that will work and ALL of their therapists are just as well trained and efficient in getting through the behaviors. We have been there for 5 years now and my son is thriving! He is learning life skills such as how to brush and floss his teeth, put on his shoes, bathe, zip up a zipper, close and open a button and so much more. The best part is...he LOVES going and he loves Ms. Grace! If you have a child that has been getting nowhere in their therapy or is being "tolerated" rather than loved, seen, and cared for... you have found your new therapy center! Your child will learn to do things here and get past the difficult times! You will not be disappointed!

He thrives here. He's made so much progress with both gross motor skills and occupational skills! He gets physical therapy from Byn and Jonathan who are the best!!! Both of them are so good with my son and have really helped him improve! He loves them and is always asking to go "play" with Byn and Jonathan! He also gets occupational therapy from Ms.Patty, who is also so great! She is really sweet and has helped my son grow so much! The office staff is Also so responsive and helpful!
