At first I really enjoyed this school & thought Everyone used to be kind and now i notice that 90% of everyone has changed how I'm treated by them along with how different my daughter is treated. I'm not to sure if we will be returning next year or not unfortunately.

I remember when I was looking for a daycare and I had so many questions - here is some helpful info about the daycare: Tomato daycare provides nutritious lunches and snacks, which helped my children develop stronger self-eating skills. A menu is provided each month! I was initially nervous about the nap setup but everything worked out nicely. They use floor cots. My kids usually sleep in a dark room with a sound machine but they adjusted effortlessly and slept well from the start. You will bring a crib sheet for the cot and small blanket and these items will be returned to you on Fridays for washing. I brought 2 straw cups for my kids. One for water and one for milk. Potty training support was another huge bonus and helped us tremendously. Pictures are sent every Friday! The holidays are especially magical. Tomato Day Care puts so much effort into making them special. For those who may be wondering, I do not speak Korean and I did not have any issues with communication. In fact, it was great and easy to keep in contact either in person or by text. Ms. Grace and Ms. Yejong have been incredible. Their care, patience, and warmth made such a difference for my kids, and I'm so grateful for them both. My kids have made so many friends and happy memories there. I highly recommend Tomato Day Care to any family looking for a loving, supportive, and enriching environment for their children. Thank you Ms. Grace and Ms. YeJeong for everything!

Life has been amazing ever since…read more This is his first childcare setting and it did not take long for him to adjust (a month) but he was only doing part-time 3x per week. His first day there he went in and loved it, when we told him we were leaving I don't think it had fully set in. His only issue at the beginning was transitions. Transition inside from playing outside, but the teachers adapted and sang a little song to let him know the transition was coming and it helped so much. I quickly noticed him humming at home to help with transitions. We were so fortunate to get this opportunity as the space is extremely limited. There are only two classes and it's limited to 6-7 kids. I think the feeling of uneasinesses about Covid really benefited us getting in. They have got health and safety under control. The daycare does not have a TV and there is no TV time (I find this extremely special). My friend who said she toured many daycares says that all the spots she went to had TVs. They have outdoor time in the mornings, class time and plenty of play time. They take care of breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, which is a huge load off our shoulders too. I love that the meals are a mix of Korean and American food. Our little guy loves soup because they have it for lunch all the time. I love Miss. Grace, Ms. Elisa and Ms. Ye Jeong. My little guy thoroughly enjoys his time here. After his initial intro period, he has been going in with no issues and doesn't look back. It's on to the next. It is a blessing to have gotten in and to have such loving educators. There is nothing better than feeling your child is being loved and cared for in a warm, caring and safe environment.

My 2 year old has a speech delay which makes it difficult for him to communicate his needs/wants which sometimes resulted in hitting other classmates. I would think the teachers here could provide recommendations on how we can decrease this hitting behavior because of their "experience"But their only solution was to send him home whenever he hit others. It made me feel like my son was unliked and not wanted there. Every day the teacher complained to me on how "bad" my son was. It made me feel awful and even more worse that the school did not want to create a plan on how to decrease my son's negative behaviors. I wanted him to socialize with other children and to improve on his communication skills, plus he was having behavioral issues from just staying home. I was touring many schools around the area and found Cerritos Lane to be a contender, but I wasn't 100% sure I wanted to enroll my son. It was a nagging gut feeling that something wasn't right. The director at the time, Ms. Karen, followed up with me TWICE. I decided to enroll my child since she was so persistent and the teachers have decades of experience. Okay, two weeks later the director suddenly resigned and everything changed. A few weeks later my child got in trouble for not sharing. I had him evaluated by several health professionals and they said he's not aggressive and he's only two years old- not wanting to share is normal BUT the school made it a big deal, particularly the owner. I was again looking for other schools at this point. Family members convinced me to let him stay at this school since he's already familiar with it. Then the day after a holiday I get a letter stating the school is closing and the last day is in two weeks. Stressed, saddened, shocked and frustrated can't being to describe it. I felt like this school just slapped me in the face for the third time. I'm sad for my child, his classmates, and the teaching staff. Now we're all starting over again. The only reason why I didn't give this place 1 star is because of Ms. Claudia and Ms. Carolina. They are truly exceptional teachers that are patient and understanding. We miss them and hope better things are coming.

It feels strange to be writing a review for a school that has now closed, but I wanted to take the…read moretime to highlight both the good and the not-so-great aspects--partly for recognition and partly for the constructive criticism for any future ventures. Cerritos Lane was my son's first school, and because of that, it will always hold a special place in our hearts. Like many toddlers, he had a tough time with drop-offs in the beginning (and some other days sprinkled throughout the duration of his time there). But the morning teachers, Ms. Carolina and Ms. Rose, and his primary teacher, Ms. Claudia, were incredibly patient, understanding, and kind. Their care and consistency meant the world to us. Ms. Karen, the director at the time, also played a huge role in making mornings smoother. She often helped calm him during transitions, and he adored her. When she suddenly left, it was a big shift for my son, and the difference in leadership was noticeable. The new director wasn't as warm or hands-on, and some of the questions she directed through the staff felt unnecessarily personal and intrusive. It was also very difficult to get payment receipts so I can claim DCFSA. After asking several times, I still don't have it and now the school is closed. Unrelated to this change, we had already made the decision to move to a different school that offered a key feature we were looking for - a lunch program. But just a week before our transition, we received a letter stating that Cerritos Lane would be closing in two weeks. While the timing worked out for us, my heart went out to the many families and staff who were left scrambling. Though the closure was due to personal reasons, I believe more notice could have shown better respect and consideration for everyone affected. In summary, there were definitely pros and cons in his five months there. The teachers were truly wonderful and were the heart and soul of the school and the tuition cost was reasonable. But the leadership and communication, especially near the end, needed significant improvement. We're grateful for the time our son had there and will miss the incredible teachers dearly - especially Ms. Claudia. We wish them nothing but the best wherever they go next.

They were truly the most amazing group of people we'd ever met. Lynda really cares about the kids and only wants what's best for every child she cares for. My son thrived during the two years he attended, and he loved Lynda, the kids, and of course the lunches (he was so well fed at daycare he hardly ate at home during the weekdays). Lynda believes in each child's potential and makes sure they're on track with their milestones and so much more. She caters to each child's needs and really cares about setting them up to succeed at whatever it is that they're put through. She is very communicative with parents and empathetic towards the hardships of parenthood. Unfortunately we had to move out of state, so we're no longer in her care, but I wish we never had to leave. We've been away for 3 months now, but my son still talks about Lynda and his friends that he met at her daycare. I would recommend Lynda's Daycare to anyone who is lucky enough to have the opportunity to consider her.

I knew finding the perfect daycare is so important. One big scare I had are all the articles that a first time mom should stop reading on Google, I must advice, to keep it in perspective. :) Finding Lynda has been such a tremendous blessing to our family. She and her family has given us the peace of mind that we needed especially for the safety of our child. She has such a kind and caring heart for all the little ones she takes care of, she comforts them when needed and takes the effort in finding out what they may need. Lynda shows years of experience in caring for children. Last year, she had her 25 years celebration put together by her family and other family of the children she took care of over the years and it was beautiful to see how many families she's touched and I was glad we are a part of it and so thankful to have found her. Her care feels very personal with every single child. Every holiday and even on regular days they do arts and crafts, sing songs and makes some days extra special. She somehow maintains a peaceful, yet playful environment for the children. Whenever we do drop offs, my LO always seem so happy to be there and filled throughout the day. Throughout the time my LO has been with Lynda's care, from a crawler to a full toddler run, I've seen my LO progressed very well in social skills and cognitive development. Lynda has been a huge part of raising our LO. She is easy to talk to and it's easy to have an open and transparent relationship with her. I've asked her for advice and have also asked her to implement certain ways to help us reach a certain milestones. She'll give her suggestions on where our child should be at a certain age and that has been really helpful for us. She pays attention on their needs and most of the time 5 steps ahead. I love that about her. We truly could not ask for any other daycare out there. I know she'll always be part of our lives.
