I have worked with Behavior Frontiers as a Behavior Supervisor since May 2023, and it has been an all around great experience so far. I have received guidance and support that have helped me grow as a clinician and have been given opportunities to provide mentorship to those seeking to advance their career or their education in this field, which has also contributed to my growth as a clinician. I appreciate that Behavior Frontiers offers monthly CEU learning opportunities that are engaging and informative. I have always been highly motivated in school, and I love how this job allows me to continue learning. Additionally, there is a high standard set for Behavior Technicians. New Behavior Technicians are given a strong foundation when they go through our training program. This allows me to further their growth while still being able to provide quality services to my clients. For those Behavior Technicians that are not meeting company standards, there are clear protocols in place that state when it is needed to hold a disciplinary action meeting. This allows me to convey an action plan so that the Behavior Technician can clearly understand what is needed to improve. Overall, Behavior Frontiers has policies in place that allow me to complete my job duties while growing as a clinician, and I can definitely see myself here for many more years. read more

Working as a Behavior Technician for the Norwalk center has been such a rewarding experience! Being part of the company has encouraged me to grow as an individual and always looking forward to coming in and working with all of the clients. I love how all the BTs greet each other and offer help as needed. Everyone works together as a team and aims to have the center clean and organized. The care and quality each team member has for the clients is always shown through their positivity! I am very thankful to be part of the environment and the care that is provided within the center. I have two boys that attend the Norwalk center. They absolutely love going. The facility is amazing. There are so many fun activities and toys for them to play with. The OT room is great for them to get their energy out. The staff is incredible. My son's behavior therapists are great. They are caring, patient, and work well with my children. Both boys love going to "school". They have also made friends with other children. Both boys have made tremendous progress and I look forward to the continuing progress they have made being in the center. The clinical staff is wonderful to work with as well and they have provided me with parent training that I have been able to utilize at home. We love the Norwalk center and recommend to anyone looking for center based ABA. read more

My four year old autistic son has been attending Behavior Frontiers for the past 8 months and it has truly been a blessing. My son has an amazing team. Although my son has been in therapy since he was two, having him transition at three years old from in home ABA therapy to in clinic ABA therapy is the best thing I could have done for him. I was very nervous about leaving my (at the time non verbal) autistic son alone but the staff was so supportive and understanding. I met with the director who took the time to get to know my family's needs and then assigned a BCBA for my son who is incredible. My son's BCBA took the time to explain all of my son's goals and why it is important for him to achieve certain preliminary goals before moving on to other goals. The BCBA took the time to explain different levels on where my son's current abilities are on the VB Mapp and has been so encouraging in explaining how to get my son to grow. My son's BCBA also assigned a BT to my son who is a perfect match. My son's BT is very playful and caring while understanding how to set boundaries so that my son understands he must follow through with the requests she asks of him to work on his goals. The BT always tells me how my son did throughout the session day at pickup and checks in during drop off to see if my son is having an off day or tired, basically anything she should watch out for to maximize the results of my son's session. My son's BT is very professional. She follows and explains any safety rules the center has in place. The center is also very secure for those kiddos who tend to elope. The center is on the second floor of a business like building and to get into the waiting room you need to get buzzed in where a staff member views who you are through their security camera. The staff members know all the children and who is allowed to pick them up so not just anyone can walk into the center. There is a safety lock on the door so children can't open and run out. Even all the parents know to set the safety lock after walking their own child out. The other parents respect that some children are still learning not to elope and how important it is to follow the safety rules of the center. There are always BTs by the exit door as well just in case someone forgets to secure the door. Then theres another security door that only staff members have badges/access to and that is where all the therapy sessions are held. Parents are welcomed to attend drop in hours where you can visit each therapy room and look at your child's goals and how they are implemented. My son's entire team took the time to learn how to utilize my son's AAC device so that they can adjust his goals to include appropriate AAC responses. If I ever have a question on something my son is struggling with I feel comfortable sharing concerns with anyone on my son's team. Besides having a great team, literally everyone knows my son by name even if they have never worked with him. Its really great knowing that all the other BTs know my son by name especially considering that my son's expressive language is very limited (he can't tell you his name without imitating) it just goes to show you how much all the staff cares about all the kids. The other children who attend the center are also very sweet and friendly. The center has group activities and holiday/birthday celebrations so all the children get to know each other. As a mother, nothing warms my heart as much as seeing another child ask for my son or say hi to him especially since my son prefers to play alone. All the children make my son feel welcomed and that is a beautiful feeling. My son feels like he belongs. The center also offers individual parent training and drop in hours once a week so I've been able to attend both and take the skills my son's BT and BCBA have been working on and translate those skills into our home setting. The center also has monthly group parent trainings where I get to meet other parents of children at the center who are such a great support system especially if your child is the first in your family to be diagnosed as autistic. The other parents really care about each other and share their experiences. Overall, I couldn't be happier with having my son at Behavior Frontiers. His growth has been unbelievable and having my son at Behavior Frontiers took off so much stress and worry about my son's future. I fully trust my son's team is doing everything in their power to challenge and help my son grow. I have peace of mind knowing that my son's team is truly his team, wanting the best for him and our family. Thank you Behavior Frontiers!! read more
