I bring my son and daughter to DV Therapy for speech services. Overall the staff at DV Therapy is very friendly, polite and flexible with scheduling. I am able to communicate with our therapist instantly and Mariah and Vedali are quick and responsive to my children's needs. Mariah works with my son and every time he reaches his goal she provides new evaluations and appropriate individualized treatment plans for my son. Also, after every session Mariah summarizes and provides examples of my son's improvement (with data) and offers recommendations for continued growth. Mariah has also provided me with school material and collaborated with me to offer recommendations to my children's Pre School teachers. Vedali works with my daughter and I can tell that my daughter loves her speech sessions bc she is always excited about her meetings. Vedali has implemented my daughters IEP report and Kaiser's assessment to her treatment plan at DV Therapy. Like Mariah, Vedali meets with me after every session and provides me with a summary of my daughters growth and tips to continue empowering my daughters speech deficits. I highly recommend DV Therapy for your children speech services. Celina (front desk clerk) offers reminders and quickly provides parents with make up sessions. My son was attending speech and OT for a little over 2 years at their West Covina office. The therapist were great no issues. They helped my son especially in speech. But they could never keep an OT aide at there West Covina office for very long. I think in the 2 years we were there he went through 3 OT aides. But there was always a billing issue with my insurance. And it always created a bigger issue. They would always charge me for the most recent session before the EOB was even cleared. At one point I had to keep track of my deductible and what they were charging. And in the end they had to reimburse me about 120 dollars for over charges. Then I noticed that I was getting EOB under my name for the services and not my son's name. And since I owed to much money they decided to put my sons services on hold. After that we did not go back to the clinic it was super frustrating. read more

I see I'm not the only one who's struggling to get a response back from this clinic. I'm trying to help a family member receive ST services as recommended by her care team. There aren't many in the ST clinics in the area that services adults, and seems like DV would be a good fit, right? No. They never got back to me after I left a voicemail, filled out a new client inquiry, and emailed them on their website portal. I've even left a 1 star review on google to see if they would respond. Nothing. Still no response after several months. The lack of communication makes it difficult for caregivers to seek services for their loved ones who really need specific therapies to improve their QoL. This is ridiculous and a huge disservice for potential clients seeking help. read more

My son has received services with DV therapy for about 2 years now...unfortunately we made the though decision to transfer to another clinic due to personal schedule conflicts, but it was such a heart break to leave them. I would like to highlight Mr. Michael who worked with my son for speech since Octoberish 2024. He is the sweetest most patient person who really cares about his clients. His passion for what he does is truly incredible. My son always looked forward to working with Mr.Michael. For the short time we were together it was incredible to see the progress of my son, and I cannot thank Mr. Michael enough as he had such a big part in the progress. This review is not for their services but rather customer service. I called their number inquiring to get my son speech therapy and was told to fill out the form online. After several attempts to get someone to call me back, I finally got someone to help me asap, mind you 1.5 momths later. I never got calls back in my previous calls. I was told that they would look into this matter asap and would get back to me the same day. I did get a phone call the same day but just to be told that my insurance was no longer being accepted AND they were not taking any new clients. I wish someone would of told me from the 1st phone call that new client were not being taken. I would of moved on. Post something your website or your phone voice tree. This is a disservice to those kids that are in need of important services. read more

I took my son here to help with him getting to talk and he's not 2 yet. First day I get here no one greeted me and I waited around for 15 minutes and an employee walked by me and looked at me multiple times. I had to finally stop her and tell her what I was there for. Then your supposedly have 1 therapist and I didn't meet my sons until week 3. There not very professional and they didn't teach my son anything. They tried to teach him sign language. I know sign language and could of done that at home and wanted them to help my son physically speak and they couldn't do that. Since our referral to this location I have been very impressed with their professionalism, enthusiasm, and passion they have for what they do! My son has. Shown tremendous growth since he started. Mariah has developed a positive trusting bond with him and (me too) which has defiantly made a works of difference. Mariah does a gray job of communicating with me about his progress and areas we can work on. My son truly enjoys showing to up for his sessions! My daughter started speech therapy at 23months with no words, minimal sounds, and only knew 2 signs. Lupe was assigned as her therapist, and immediately my daughter took to her. My daughter does not take to too many people, and this made all the difference. In the first month we already saw huge growth. One year later, my daughter has officially caught up and then some. Lupe gave us the skills to continue therapy beyond our weekly sessions. When quarantine kicked in, we were nervous we would lose steam, but we continued with virtual sessions and we continued to see growth. I'm so grateful for Lupe, and everything she's done for our daughter. My daughter not only gained verbal skills, but she now has so much confidence and personality. We are so proud! Thank you Lupe!!! I have been to my share of therapy clinics, and this is by far one of the best. It was very easy to communicate and schedule appointments with them and the speech therapists who I worked with were top notch. Together, they created a plan of care for my child that produced amazing results and I could actually track my son's progress after each session. We have been going to DV for over a year and love it. They are so good with our son, who is not the easiest kid in the world. They are patient and kind and dedicated to helping the kids they work with. My son is 6 and he is always eager to go to speech so they clearly make the experience enjoyable for him. He has made huge strides since he started at DV. He was not intelligible to anyone except me and my husband all the way until age 4; despite receiving years of speech services through the school district where they were ill prepared to help someone with difficulties as extensive as his. His vocabulary and cognition are age appropriate so his inability to articulate in a way other kids and adults could understand was so upsetting to him and us. We are so thankful to DV Therapy and the wonderful women, especially Maryanne, that have brought him so far and made it possible for him to communicate with his extended family, teachers, and peers. We've been with DV therapy since April of 2017 for our son who had just turned 2 at the time. We had no idea what to expect and was concerned with his speech delay. In the beginning Mariah and Vedali taught him sign language that he picked up very well. The therapist not only worked on his communication but also taught us different exercises to do at home. We've worked with almost all of the therapist at least once and every one of them have been so patient, knowledgeable, and made us feel valued. Our son who is now 4, was a late talker and is still seen once a week. We are now in the process of getting our 2 year old daughter started with DV therapy, she has hearing loss in one ear that has delayed her speech as well. When we found out about her condition, it hit us pretty hard. We casually brought it up to Vedali and she immediately knew what we were talking about. We found out that Vedali also studied in audiology. All the time and work the staff at DV therapy has put in for us means so much to us. We moved further away (over a year ago) our commute went from 10 to now a 35 min drive, we don't mind the drive one bit! read more

I brought my 4 yr old daughter to DV Therapy after already having speech sessions at another location for over 6 months. I had 3 sessions here with Mariah and it was terrible. Sadly, her demeanor was negative, condescending, and rude. Mariah sees herself as a teacher and her students/clients need to obey her or else. First of all, she is a speech therapist, and my toddler is her client. This is not a session on discipline and forcing a child to do things your way, its supposed to be a safe place filled with conversation and modeling. My 4 yr old left in tears after 5 minutes, the session ended that soon. Was no longer going to watch this person treat a child in that way. I will never take my daughter back to this facility again. I am sure other therapists are wonderful here, but we had the luck to end up with a rude woman who obviously doesn't know how to treat children. To all the parents taking your child, you should really listen to how she speaks to your children. YOU are the parent, not her. I had my insurance switch over the referral back to the original speech therapist. The drive was far, but I see now that no matter how far the drive, my daughters feelings and level of respect is worth more than a convenient drive. Maybe working with older children is what Mariah needs. read more
