Jason, Mike and Julio did an outstanding job moving me yesterday. They arrived 10 minutes early and took good care of all my belongings. They were very personable and professional. When we arrived at my new location-2nd floor they delivered all my items with complete care. They went above and beyond, especially getting my couch in! I highly recommend their services. Thank you for a job well done! April read more

The owner Greg was really transparent on the service agreement . The crew was great except they didn't have the tools to disassemble the beds. Also please tell the movers on the important furniture and fragile materials . read more

Completely shady and untrustworthy!!! The crew of 3 was very shady. They went through all of my personal belongings. My daughters empty pocketbooks were rummaged through, her piggy bank full of change went missing, a lamp was broken and dresser scratched. Also my husbands missing a Watch from his watch collection although I cannot prove was missing prior to this moving crew being in my home. I called the owner to complain yet all he could do was back his workers. I did call the police where I made a report . They advised me all of their workers did not have clean records. Huge eye opener on that regard...Never again will I have strangers in my home without running a background check first. read more

I am shocked to see there are good reviews on here. I would leave a 0 out of 5 stars if I could. The movers damaged multiple items in our home, including my daughter's crib. They also lost a box in the move. We got a check in the mail for a ridiculously low amount. They just guessed the cost and weight of everything damaged when deciding on our claim refund. We've been contacting them for 2 weeks because we would at least like the crib covered but no one gets back to us. Save yourself the trouble and hire someone else!! read more

I hired these guys to pick up a couch for me before even coming to my house at which point they picked up additional items and the entire load needed to be delivered to a third location. They went above and beyond and not only moved everything, helped me by openning the carpet I had purchased before bringing in furniture. They also worked with me with the bill. they were very polite and considerate. Mike and Charlie were great and I would recommend them anyday. Mandy read more

Biggest nighmare to date, and I have moved/lived in 9 different states over the years. Let me summarize: late arrival, non-stop complaining, non-stop soliciting gratuity, non-stop smoking, broke several items, dragged their feet, took countless breaks, stole some electronics, ended up paying triple what we were quoted. You will be tricked by the very very very low initial estimate and a nice guy Gregg on the phone. DO NOT TRUST THIS, YOU WILL END UP PAYING DOUBLE OR TRIPLE. We were moving to a new house about 5 miles away, 12-15 pieces of furniture and about 20 boxes. The new house was being remodeled, so all they had to do is bring stuff over and put everything in the garage. They showed up an hour late, brought a small truck, and told me it was my fault because they thought it was going to be a smaller job from how I described it. I have read other reviews where they pull this trick - they bring a small truck so they have to do several runs and milk that hourly rate. There were two men: the older one was disheveled, had open sores on his arms and decaying teeth. He told us at least a dozen times how they expected to get gratuity, and we can leave a tip on the card or cash. He couldn't stop talking about the tip. He complained non-stop about how much furniture we had and how heavy everything was. He dragged his feet. They both took 4-5 cigarette breaks each hour - I have read others say they smoked while moving. In our case they actually stopped and treated themselves to nice 5 minute breaks every time. So out of every hour maybe they worked 30 minutes, and even that was SLOW SLOW SLOW. Even my neighbor came out to ask why they were taking so many breaks. Instead of estimated 3 hours, they took NINE HOURS. At the end, my husband had to start moving boxes with them, because it was very obvious they weren't going to get done. They broke a couple of ceramic vases and a few of my husband's electronics never turned up - again, I'm reading other reviews that these people steal. Not surprised in the least, they looked derelict. Six weeks later, when renovations were finished, I hired a different company to bring our stuff from garage to upstairs. I kept telling them we had a lot of things, and please send a lot of people. They came out, assured me I had a very LIGHT move, gave me estimate. On the morning of, three polite, clean, college kids show up at my door. They were finished in TWO AND A HALF hours - less time than what they quoted. Didn't take a single break even though I told them they could. The second company had higher rates and higher estimate, but we SAVED because they were so professional. Not to mention the hundreds of dollars we lost in damaged and broken items, and stolen items. I cannot believe these people are still in business. Please know that every day you get up and go to work you're ruining someone's day. Moving is already the most stressful experience, and you turn it into a nightmare. Please consider changing your business model. Lying and stealing and damaging peoples property is not it. This is just awful!!!! read more

Terrible company!!! They left things behind and when they couldn't fit all the belongings into the storage unit, they threw them in the dumpster, namely 4 dining room chairs. Storage units were filled, crushing boxes marked fragile. Heavy furniture was placed in front of the door so nothing behind it could be accessed. High pressure for an excessive tip. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

The moving men were nice, but communications with the boss seemed stressed. They broke a table and said they would fix it, no charge, came and picked it up, but then never brought it back. It has 3 months now. I have called about every 2 weeks, and they say it is coming, but my table has never been returned. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! read more

The service we received from Advantage Moving & Storage was phenomenal!!! Joe and Sharif was the best movers in WORLD!!!!!

Called these movers for last minute, for same day help with a couch that would not fit in a door way. They arrived in less than 2 hours and in addition to helping with one couch, thy had also dropped off and picked up another couch at another location that was an unexpected move. The two men were very friendly, and accommodating... Not to mention their rates for the service was absolutely reasonable. I would highly recommend and will be using this company for any future moves. read more

If you want everything you own nicked, scratched, chipped, dented and broke these are the guys to hire. Had to fight with them through Consumer Protection for three months to get money back for the air conditioner they dropped and broke. I used them because they were cheap and I got what I paid for read more

I 'be used this company twice so far and they were honest, efficient and reasonably priced. The workers were polite and very careful with our things. I'd recommend them to anyone in central Ct. read more

We moved to a new location at end of July. Two trucks with our stuffs stayed over night at their storage facility. A lot of my household items went missing. The most valuable item that disappeared was my iRobot. I called the owner and asked him to return only the iRobot because it was a present which was very valuable to me. He returned my phone call and said that his workers would never steal anything. I never even accused them I just asked him to return my vacuum cleaner. He sent me a $75 check for the missing item. He reimbursed the cost of this item by weight! 0.60 per pound! How does he know how much it weights if he doesn't have it! His workers asked us for the tip which we didn't mind to pay. He asked $500! For this amount of money I was expecting at least to have my items safely delivered. Now the owner doesn't return my phone calls and doesn't respond to the emails. Poor quality of service. Never use them! You will end up paying much more then with different companies! I am regretting hiring them. I will notify the better business bureau. Don't make my mistake! read more

I have to say I was very disappointed with this moving company. They where very unprofessional. Not to mention both movers showed up high when unloading and asked me if I was interested in purchasing weed from him. Mind you this suppose to be their best two movers per manager when I called to complain. I want to say every peace of large furniture has some type of damage on it not mention they completely damage my sofas trying to get them through the front door. They never once tried to protect my furniture from being damage. Mind you they have all the necessities in the back of the truck to cover or protect my furniture. This is just some of the stuff I felt it was important to talk about. Speaking with management is useless. He basically told me he's taking care of it in the hopes that I would go away. After calling multiple times. I get a check for 84.00 what am I suppose to do with that??? Yeah I would not recommended this moving company to no one read more

My move seemed to start off well since they were actually a little early, except I was told that I would have 2 movers and then 3 showed up. I would have liked to have been told so that I didn't have to scurry for extra tip money. However, since the aftermath, I wish that I hadn't tipped the way that I did. My jewelry armoire was dropped and not only did I have a couple of things break, like a glass Tiffany trinket box, but it cracked one of the legs and made a large mess on my driveway. I later found that a sterling silver bracelet, that was made for me, was run over in the driveway. I was told that someone "would be out to look at it" and they wrote information on my receipt for follow up. Later that day, I noticed scratches on my entertainment center and my dresser. I know for a fact these occurred in the move since they were both put together in my previous home and not moved before. I called their office that same day and got the answering machine....LIKE EVERY OTHER TIME I HAVE CALLED THEM. I had to email them and wait for responses. I finally received a check from them, that I also had to follow up on, almost 30 days later for $36!!!! $36 for a priceless bracelet, broken $150 jewelry armoire and a Tiffany trinket box. There was a note attached to the check showing that their payout is by the weight of the damage items. This is how it was calculated what I would get back. That doesn't even cover 1/2 my tip. Not to mention, they never asked me for any of the pictures that I took of the other scratches etc. The note also stated that once you cash the check, its a done deal and no other negotiations would be made. Well, I have been emailing them since receiving my check (that I refuse to cash) and they are still not getting back to me. I refuse to cash a check of nothing but insult. Don't be sucked in by their price...try another local business that will probably do you right. As a side note, one of the movers (the one that seemed to be in charge) was very personable, however, I didn't appreciate him using my bathroom on the 2nd level without even asking if he could. There was a first floor bathroom that would have been just fine. It made me feel odd as if he might have been looking for something.....the bathroom was stripped of anything worthwhile so he might have been disappointed. read more

Worst: We hired Advantage to move furniture in and out of our home for hardwood floor refinishing. The plan was to hire professionals to do the job so that we wouldn't risk damaging our property ourselves. I typically do not leave reviews, positive or negative but In hopes to save someone from the horrific and costly experience I felt it was necessary. The move out was nicely done. The move in was horrific. The two gentlemen that moved us back in left us with large scratch to our dining room table top and legs, large dents and scratching on the kitchen table, a damaged light fixture in the foyer and to top it off, several large scratches, indents and markings in our newly refinished hardwood flooring in various places throughout the home. Estimated damage is around $7,000 and the company sent us a "claim" refund of $99 - laughable. Needless to say we do not recommend this company nor will we refer or use then again. Extremely disappointed and upset. read more

I used this company on my move a few months back. Worst customer service ever! After arriving 3 hours rate they decided to double my quote once the movers showed up. I went to almost 1500 dollars for a 2 bedroom apt. When movers finally started moving they sat outside on their cellphones and smoked cigarettes in my furniture. The entire time the kids tried to entice me on how much of a tip they would get. The one mover named brutus was very nice and professional. I felt bad he worked for such a terrible organization. After the move was completed I called the boss multiple times to complain about damaged furniture but no call has ever been returned. I hope people read this review when looking for a moving company. read more

Guys showed up ready to work. Moved a whole house and did it with no complaints. Very hard workers and did it as quickly as possible. Would definitely recommend this company again. Out closing date changed a bunch of times and these guys still made a difficult move happen with not a ton of notice. Great job! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They took advantage of me, unbelievable! Moved within town, 1 bedroom, the truck they brought was too small, and they did not load everything. They left behind a very heavy dining room table and other pieces. My boyfriend had to work that day, so I was alone, and knew within a short time that they were trying to "play" me. Had an original quote of $391.55 and ended up with $682.11 and a $80.00 tip for 2 guys. My boyfriend had to enlist the help from a friend and his truck to move the rest of my furniture, and we paid the friend for his help (so I had to pay AGAIN). The movers offered me a deal to cut down my cost which was unbelievable shady! I denied the deal, and could tell they weren't very happy about it, since they were trying to make some money, instead of charging the entire move to the company. When my boyfriend came home that night I was in tears. Emailed the company, but never received a response. Research and choose your moving company wisely, this was a nightmare for me! read more
