Moving day can be stressful and not having a well planned estimate will cause issues…read more We were quoted $1,300 - $1500 for two men and a half day. We were asked to send pictures of all our items so they can fine-tune the estimate and make sure they are properly prepared to meet the customers' needs. We followed their request and sent pictures of EVERY item to be moved. Subsequent to sending the pictures the estimator said that after reviewing the photos he would like to add an additional man and increase the time based on his review of the photos. Their proposal was increased slightly ($1,500 - $1,700) (we had no issues with the request), and we awaited their arrival on moving day. Moving day came the workers on the truck were very nice. However mid-way through moving things went south fast. The workers broke an expensive glass bar cart and called to inform their home office. The original estimator then called to say we had more stuff than anticipated and the truck was full. The stuff was exactly what was in the one dozen photos sent two weeks prior to the move. These photos contained all the furniture and all of boxes that we had packed for the move. He then proceeded to state that we "didn't inform them there were boxes to move" (a complete lie). We calmly said two of the pictures sent to you (which the workers on site actually had on their cell phones) have a stack of boxes in the family room and another from the garage. He said well, "people move their boxes themselves sometimes'". Our response was simply questioning why we would have sent the pictures, at their request, if we intended to move them on our own. After arriving at 11:05 and deciding they were done at 5:30 sharp, the movers left over 20% of the remaining contents. They said they needed to move what they have in the truck and "they would come back the next day", but we would be getting another quote for the remaining move. When I questioned the additional quote the gentleman from the home office then revised it talk track to say he would not be able to insure he could come back tomorrow (Saturday, knowing the house was being sold) and stated and he would do it in 3 days (past the date of the house being sold) but the quote had to be signed to get on a possible schedule. He carried on saying "couldn't disrupt his clients already on tomorrows schedule". I guess its OK to disrupt a client by leaving 20% of the job behind. His quote for completing the move arrived the next day and the move would now be almost double the original price! Needless to say we quickly found an honest and reputable company for less than 1/2 of the additional quote from Two Movers. Two days later they sent a final bill for $800.00 more than his revised estimate, bringing the total moving cost to more than twice their original estimated when added to the additional mover we had to hire. We informed them of their error in number of hours billed, and reminded them they didn't complete the job, and that they broke the bar cart. Their response was that the bar cart isn't covered as they were not specifically informed of it in the move list, but they would give me $50.00 for it even though it was included in the pictures we had sent which prompted them to increase the original estimate. They said any items not specifically "written" on the contact were not their liability! The reality is they received pictures of all the items being moved, they double checked those photos well enough to increase the estimate to include an additional man. While we hope for a fair resolution that accurately accounts for actual hours worked and the damage to the property they caused, we have so far not heard back from them revising their billing or received any apology for the distasteful experience Update : The owner called apologized for the stress and miscommunications and we settled on a fair amount for the work they did The owner was very nice and concerned about our experience and perception of his office staff because it's not what the majority of his customers experience according to him My advice ask a lot of questions and list as many of your bigger or more expensive/delicate items upfront so you can openly discuss how they will be handled. Ask about travel timing billing and supplemental insurance for your property

It was clear the company overbooked so rather than have me find new movers they decided to be greedy and sent me one mover and his friend. I have very heavy items and most of my furniture is brand new. I noticed they were not covering any of my items as they loaded them into the truck. When I asked why they said they didn't have blankets. They called 'the boss' and were actually having to justify that I have nice furniture. Finally I had to go to uhaul and get blankets. The guy at uhaul must have felt bad because he didn't even charge me for the rental (go figure...an ethical person with a heart). I went back and had to wrap all of my own furniture. On top of it, my friend who is 6' 250 lbs (big guy) had to help the other two guys move some of my heavy items and pack the truck. The move took much longer than it should have. When I was handed the bill they tried to charge me over $900!!! Keep in mind there was over 2 hrs that these guys were not working!!! And we had to help them! If we hadn't my furniture would be ruined and most of the stuff would not have been able to be moved. I spoke with Paul and he was not even apologetic. Basically told me 'the price is the price' and that my friend helping was on me. It would have taken these two guys 2 days to move my stuff on their own. Of course Paul is going to say that. He makes money by the hour so there is no urgency. Please, please hire another mover! I have no problems paying for a service but this was not a quality job that even deserved $500. The response was: I am sorry, I don't know where any of this is coming from. When my workers showed up that morning, they found out that you had expected us to provide you with moving boxes and had never mentioned that in the request. You and I spoke on the phone and we both agreed that Time2Go would not do the work for you based on the missing details from your Thumbtack request. They left and no work was done for you. Now I find you have fabricated this whole story about our services from nothing. When I private messaged Chris and told him that I would cancel the check since I "fabricated the story," he responded: "You are a very funny person imagine explaining in court how we have your check with your signature as well as a contract with your signature." Please do yourself a favor and hire a "professional" mover. Not one who is not going to correct their mistake and lie to future customers about a review.

WRONG: I had to make an inventory of things I wanted moved. I didn't realize that if an item wasn't listed on the inventory they wouldn't take it. I had to have them come back for an estimated additional $1300-$1600 dollars. They were supposed to be here around noon. At 12:40 I called and was told they had a 2 hour window. I had had to make arrangements with friends based on 4 Guys arriving around 12. As I don't drive I needed to have a ride to the new address. My ride couldn't do the later time so I had to scramble to find another. It's now 2:45 and no truck. When I called a got a very calm person who began to explain why they were late. I told him I don't want explanations or excuses so he offered to call the whole thing off. I was almost speechless as I'm under a deadline. Would not recommend them: not reliable.

At first I assumed the job would be too small for a moving company, but after umpteen delivery services sent me quotes with high rates-- *and* wanted us to help load and unload! -- I decided to call Boomerang, since they did such a good job moving us into our home earlier in the year. Boomerang actually charged *less* than what all those delivery services were asking for, and of course they did a careful, professional job, because they actually know how to move furniture. Nathan and Christian got these extra-tall bookcases down a curving flight of stairs, around tight corners in a narrow hallway, through the doorways and into their places without putting a scratch on either the bookcases or the walls. Moral of the story: Even if you just need to move a few pieces, hire professional movers -- specifically, hire Boomerang!

Fred and Stephan were absolutely incredible, and I cannot recommend them highly enough…read more They helped me move my niece out of her apartment under very stressful circumstances, and from the moment they arrived, they were calm, professional, kind, and reassuring. They consistently reminded us that everything would be okay, and they meant it. This was not an easy move. The apartment was an attic unit in an older duplex with very narrow, steep stairs. There were also unexpected challenges, including needing to remove a door just to get the washer out. Fred and Stephan never complained once. They stayed focused, solution-oriented, and confident, which made an enormous difference for all of us. At one point, another tenant became upset about the U-Haul ramp being positioned in the driveway. Fred handled the situation calmly and respectfully, explaining there was enough room and offering a simple alternative route. Even when emotions were running high around us, both Fred and Stephan remained composed and professional, which helped keep the entire move on track. After loading everything, they followed us to the U-Haul storage unit and somehow managed to fit everything into a 5x9x10 unit. I truly did not think it could be done, but they packed it expertly and made full use of the space. This was an emotionally exhausting day for our family, and Fred and Stephan turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one that felt safe, manageable, and even reassuring. Their kindness and professionalism went far beyond what I expected from movers. They also offered to help us again when my niece moves into her new apartment, and we will absolutely be calling them. If you are looking for movers who are skilled, respectful, calm under pressure, genuinely care about the people they are helping, and provide exceptional service at a fair price, Fred and Stephan are the ones you want. They have earned our highest recommendation.

I booked my appointment vía Yelp and received a confirmation within 24 hours. About 10 days later, when it became apparent that we weren't going to be ready on our original moving day, I called and asked to reschedule. Ethan accommodated me immediately and sent me a second confirmation without any hesitation. On the day of our move the gigantic truck rolled up 15 minutes ahead of schedule and the guys got to work! And damn, did they work HARD! I was only 95% ready for them so I kept packing up the last minute things while they hauled ass up and down the flight of stairs to our second floor apartment. They took one 15 minute break (No complaints from me! They deserved that, and more!) and then went back to work. At the end of FOUR HOURS the truck was packed and we were off to the new location. The guys grabbed an incredibly fast lunch in between places and were back on the job in less time than it took for Ethan to park the truck where he wanted it and have a look around. They worked for THREE MORE HOURS - again, up and down the stairs - and even took the time to make sure our boxes got to the right rooms. The whole time they worked I didn't hear a single complaint; not even an annoyed look or tone of voice. If they complained behind our backs...WHO CARES?! They kept every interaction professional and pleasant. (If our positions had been reversed I'd have been crying the whole day because I'm weak and old! ) The whole experience was great, from beginning to end. When it was done I felt like my "thank you so much" didn't even begin to express the extent of our gratitude for the amazing job they did. The final price was reasonable and we chose to tip each guy $30 for their exceptional work. In talking to someone later, I discovered that it's not typical to tip movers and all I can say is WHY NOT?! They're working their butts off and I could never have done the move without them! Definitely recommend!
