Fred and Stephan were absolutely incredible, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They helped me move my niece out of her apartment under very stressful circumstances, and from the moment they arrived, they were calm, professional, kind, and reassuring. They consistently reminded us that everything would be okay, and they meant it. This was not an easy move. The apartment was an attic unit in an older duplex with very narrow, steep stairs. There were also unexpected challenges, including needing to remove a door just to get the washer out. Fred and Stephan never complained once. They stayed focused, solution-oriented, and confident, which made an enormous difference for all of us. At one point, another tenant became upset about the U-Haul ramp being positioned in the driveway. Fred handled the situation calmly and respectfully, explaining there was enough room and offering a simple alternative route. Even when emotions were running high around us, both Fred and Stephan remained composed and professional, which helped keep the entire move on track. After loading everything, they followed us to the U-Haul storage unit and somehow managed to fit everything into a 5x9x10 unit. I truly did not think it could be done, but they packed it expertly and made full use of the space. This was an emotionally exhausting day for our family, and Fred and Stephan turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one that felt safe, manageable, and even reassuring. Their kindness and professionalism went far beyond what I expected from movers. They also offered to help us again when my niece moves into her new apartment, and we will absolutely be calling them. If you are looking for movers who are skilled, respectful, calm under pressure, genuinely care about the people they are helping, and provide exceptional service at a fair price, Fred and Stephan are the ones you want. They have earned our highest recommendation. read more

I had to move to my new apartment and they moved everything up and down two flights of stairs fast and reassembled my furniture so fast too! Frank and Anthony did a great job moving us from our 2br apartment into our new house. Everything was in pristine condition upon arrival and they took the time to ensure everything was in its proper place. Communication was clear and timely. Highly recommend! read more

Fred and Gideon were great to work with. Clear communication in advance and day of. Very friendly. Made quick work of loading the whole apartment. One couch wouldn't fit into the new place but they tried really hard to make it happen! Gave recommendations on a storage option when it wouldn't go. I'd recommend them to anyone! read more

This is my first negative review I have ever posted...PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Fred was rude, unprofessional, and damaged multiple items with no remorse. Reached out after I discovered all the damage and received no response back. Find different movers! read more

Lots of heavy things to move, plus lots of stairs. They moved with amazing speed and efficiency, with very little rest in between loads. I'll call them again if I need anything moved. read more

Hired AA To & Fro Movers based on Yelp reviews. They moved 3 extremely heavy bathroom vanities from two different addresses to the second floor of my new house. Fred and his team were on time, professional, and fun to work with. read more

Move #1: Fred was quick to respond and get me scheduled during a difficult time. I needed my U-Haul loaded and they did a great job of getting a hodgepodge of things organized and loaded in no time flat. I wish I'd found them for the major move but will be sure to keep their number and pass it on. Move #2: Fred gave me great advice on the right size of truck to rent. Again, super speedy load and unload. Nothing broken, nothing missing, nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect! Move #3: In the process of downsizing, a grown up Weber grill and outdoor furniture for 12 went to one place and a set of antique and refinished furniture came back to another place unscathed. read more

I highly recommend Fred & crew for your move. From the actual move to the communication with Fred was superb. He always responded to my calls and texts within a timely manner. Our move was not an easy one as it was all stairs on both ends. They were quick and worked steadily. What really blew our minds was their ability to move our extremely heavy furniture. These two made it look like a piece of cake! and they moved everything as if it was their own. I highly recommend AA To & Fro Movers. read more

What can I say? Start to finish, the entire process with AA To & Fro was just, well, easy. Fred responded to my price quote inquiry instantly, quoted the lowest price we received, and was incredibly kind and put me at ease over the phone (moving during Covid-times is no joke). Then came moving day. These guys are just seriously good at moving stuff. They were speedy and efficient, while taking great care with our belongings. We were moving the contents of our one bedroom apartment to a storage space, and that storage unit is now expertly laid out without an inch of wasted space, all thanks to AA. When we move again, I won't hesitate to call these dudes. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I would highly recommend AA to & Fro Movers to anyone! Fred was truly amazing and made the process incredibly easy. He responded almost instantly and was available by email/text for any questions I had prior to our moving day. The day of our move he and another guy came on time and were incredibly efficient and made it look easy. They made us feel very comfortable and didn't make a scratch or mark anywhere in either place or on any furniture. For anyone who is looking to hire a moving company, look no further! You will be in amazing hands when you work with AA To & Fro Movers and be assured that Fred will take great care of you! We are incredibly thankful to him. read more

Fred and his crew were professionals from the beginning to the end. They worked quickly and carefully to unload my POD and get everything where it needed to go, including upstairs and in the basement. They also assembled my bed frame before heading out. I would suggest AA To & Fro Movers to anyone looking to get moved quickly, correctly, and affordably. Thank you again Fred! read more

Had a large desk to move from my office to my house. Their estimate was lower than the others and their reviews were higher. They showed up, were very careful, and moved the desk in 2 pieces without any issues. If I need to move something again I will just go to him directly. A pleasure to deal with all the way around. read more

Fred and Anthony were excellent movers! They were friendly, fast, and got everything from my old apartment. My move went better than I thought it would because of their excellent work. They even moved my bed around a few times because I couldn't pick a room. They were MUCH faster than other movers I used in the past. Nothing was damaged and they got all my furniture in without a problem. Highly recommend these guys and would use again! read more

Consumers beware! I definitely would not recommend using this "moving company"! Unprofessional, poor communication and careless. They started 2 1/2 hours later than agreed upon. I was OK with that, these things happen.Window in the house were opened and left that way with central air on. when I questioned the employee, shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Attic left was left open with lights on with central air running. Instructions were not followed. Rather than advising me that bedding needed to be removed prior to moving the beds, the bedding was thrown on the floor in a ball and left. No mention of it. It was an extremely hot day and towards the end they were very rough and careless with items and how they were being placed. Items were dragged across the floor If you attempted to direct them in placement of furniture you got a very short response or were told " this is not the first time I've done this ". It was so bad that nobody wanted to say anything in fear they would become even more careless in how they were handling your belongings. When I sent a message expressing my dissatisfaction, I was also told it was my responsibility to remind them of things that were previously discussed. Two men and a box truck, does not a moving company make. Lesson learned! read more

I've used this company several times, for my corporation and for a personal move. They were punctual, professional, and friendly. The consultation time with them was critical because I needed some articles to be handled with special care. The cost was reasonable for the amount of work in the moves. read more

We were moving our aging parents to a senior living community on the Cape. The movers were very friendly and moved quickly. Fred and team were fantastic. I saw all the reviews (every one positive) and had some doubts that they could be as good as they said, but I was wrong. The team showed up right on time and moved everything lightning fast, including breaking down some furniture. They loaded and unloaded quickly and safely, we had some large mirrors, marble tables etc all of which were completely unharmed. They were very fair with price offering to charge for the exact time, which we rounded up. All in all I'd absolutely hire these guys again, and cannot recommend them enough. Very quick, careful, efficient, and reasonably priced! Fred and his team showed up for my move from my apartment in Manchester to my fiancé's house in Berlin. I would use them again, without question, and would happily recommend to anyone. Thanks, Fred! read more

I am beyond grateful for Fred and Jordan's help moving my upright piano so quickly. I reached out to Fred the morning of the move and by the early afternoon my upright piano was safely relocated. Immediate response for a quote, fair pricing, and very smooth moving process. The team was great and super fast at moving all my furniture and constructing my table. Expected much more with such positive reviews. I had to track them down to confirm the appointment (set through uhaul's website). My trip was 1100 miles, from MA to GA, and the truck was not packed efficiently. It was like a big pyramid inside towards the front of the truck, so everything shifted immediately. Fragile items were placed on the floor with heavy boxes ontop. Items were damaged and scratched because of how the truck was loaded. We also asked them to include our grill if they could fit it and they didn't even try... there was plenty of room to fit it in. They left 20 mins early because there was "nothing left to do." For the price we paid, I expected experienced movers that would know how to pack for a long ride. I also gave them some cash as a tip, which was a big regret. It seems their reviews are pretty outdated- most from 2 years ago. Quality has gone down since then. I'm guessing they work mostly with college kids and local moves, so if you're a family that's making a long move, I suggest seeking another option. There's plenty of moving companies in the area that will do a better job! read more

Fred and Gideon are the best movers we've ever hired and we have moved many times. They are prompt, efficient, thoughtful and courteous. They maneuvered large and heavy furniture up a long flight of stairs and their teamwork was something to be admired. They are in great physical shape and had no problem handling any part of the job. (This sounds weird to say but we've hired movers in the past who were out of shape, should not have been doing this type of work and ended up damaging our furniture and walls.) Fred stayed well within his initial quote and paying was easy and flawless. This was a stressful cross country move and the shipping company had "lost" one of our cubes. Fred and Gideon performed a clean, easy-peasy unpacking with no damage to floors or walls and helped ease our stress almost 100%. We have already asked them to come back in a week or so when our "lost" cube gets here. We highly recommend Fred and Gideon of AA To & Fro Movers to anyone who wants a good moving job done. read more

Fred and one other mover helped us move our whole apartment today and I would 100% recommend them!! Fred honored his quoted price, was prompt, and the team was incredibly efficient. We moved into an older house so some items were difficult to get up the narrow stairs but Fred and his coworker found solutions for us. Despite our poor tape jobs on some boxes, all of our items were moved safely and without a scratch. read more

Fred and Gideon are total pros!! Booking was simple and the job was done quickly, safely, and what appeared to be with great ease, (though I know those boxes are heavy!) AA To & Fro Movers are very reasonable for the work they do. I would definitely work with them again and would fully recommend anyone hire them. read more

Honest, fair, prompt, and careful--what else would you want from a moving company? After trying to track down quotes from a couple other companies and either getting ignored or hearing crazy high rates, I found To and Fro--and I'm so glad I did. Fred answered my e-mails quickly and gave me a good quote. The move was flawless--it took two hours to empty a packed 15x5 storage unit, drive it 45 minutes, and move it into a new house. They were careful with furniture and boxes and followed all COVID protocols. Fred asked a bunch of questions about where it was OK to park and where to put things, too. I was totally at ease when my stuff was in their care. At the end, it turned out that the whole move took them less time than Fred had anticipated, so I ended up paying less than the original quote. Handing your "stuff" over to other people is nerve wracking, but Fred and crew make it a little less so. read more

Fantastic!!!!! These guys were great. Fast, professional, friendly and flawless. Need to add we had one of those posture pedic beds, and power sofas and recliners and a washer and dryer that needed to go up a flight of stairs. Everything was put back together and in place - and might I add it was freezing cold. Not a scratch or a scuff on anything! read more

I've hired Fred and different guys from his team a few times now for my own moves and referred friends and co-workers as well. Always reliable (they come prepared, on time, and know what they're doing). This time it was an interstate move to NYC from suburban CT. Was afraid the pricing would have been exorbitant but it was reasonable considering the time it took. They assembled the bed frame for me in the new apartment and helped figure out spacing in my new (much smaller) bedroom. And having one crew managing the packing and unloading was much easier than trying to coordinate teams between two cities. I was worried after reading another more recent review, but considering the good experiences I've had with them, I went with them again. I booked direct through their Facebook page as opposed to using the U-Haul website others mentioned so can't speak to any issues with that. It was a 3 hour trip and everything was packed logically and carefully, no issues with items breaking or scratching. I hear horror stories from friends about bad moving experiences and always recommend these guys in response. read more

Used AA To And Fro for a recent move, and I was very pleased. I originally scheduled for it to be a three hour job, but they worked fast, got it done in just over two hours, and only billed for the two. They wore masks throughout the move and were very careful with my belongings. Nice guys who do good work for a low price. You can't argue with that. Highly recommend. read more

We had a somewhat unusual situation as we needed to find a mover to move some furniture and personal belongings for my senior parents from a seldom used home in Ct to Atlanta. We needed very time-specific help packing and loading, along with time-specific unloading and move in timing. I was arranging this from California and the timing happened to coincide with bad weather in New England. I came across AA and Fred via Yelp and while I got quotes from other movers as well, based upon his reviews and our personal conversations about our situation and needs, I decided to work with Fred and AA To and Fro Movers. Im so glad that we did work with them since they were FABULOUS!!!!! Fred's communication was great, their care with the belongings and the process was outstanding and they were willing to work with our tight time windows and did so perfectly. I highly recommend Fred and his team as they handled our challenging and unusual needs wonderfully. read more
