This wasn't a moving experience, this was an absolute SHAKEDOWN. If you're even considering TopTier Moving, ASK THEM WHO IS ACTUALLY SHOWING UP DAY-OF! If the answer is Move King, LLC....RUN. I got ripped off, big time. I was completely taken advantage of and my valuables showed up shattered beyond repair. To this day, they refuse to take accountability. I've moved over 15 times in my life. I've worked with reputable movers and shady ones, but NOTHING comes close to the absolute trainwreck that is TopTier Moving (a name so ironic it's almost offensive). They quoted me about $3,600 for my move. Reasonable. But when the movers actually showed up, Move King, LLC, TopTier's third-party vendor that they never warned me about, they immediately told me the job would cost me an additional $3,000. No discussion. No explanation. Just a bait-and-switch right at my front door. Let that sink in: before a single item was moved, I was already being held hostage for $3,000 more than I agreed to. And it only got worse from there. My TopTier "point of contact," who was really just the sales guy who convinced me they were a reputable company, ghosted me immediately after my initial payments were processed. He never once answered a call or email after I paid. Move King tacked on ridiculous charges like $300 because the hallway in my building was "too long." That's not a joke...they literally charged me by the foot to walk. Every step they took seemed to cost me more money. I ended up paying over $7,000, nearly double the original quote. And what did I get for it? A shattered ( and brand-new) $1,300 Google TV, broken in transit despite paying top dollar for boxes and "protective wrapping." So much for professional care. I had to take the time to write this because companies like this should be shut down. I've never experienced a company so unethical in my life and I hope this doesn't happen to you. read more

This "business" needs shut down! They weren't transparent about being brokers rather than an actual moving company. The people they hired were extremely unprofessional, uncaring, rude, and wouldn't even finish the job - and for an elderly woman, no less. Showed up in a U-Haul barely big enough to get half the stuff, and had attitudes about having to do the job at all. When the customer complained to these brokers, it basically went in one ear and out the other before being dismissed. Worse experience ever!!! i had moved several times w the military and dealt w lots of moving companies but this company is the worst!! initially customer service (Nathan Scott) quoted $2000 for my move, I gave him the whole inventory in details since it was 1 bedroom w some other stuff a total of 54 pcs in which I was going to pack myself. Nathan stated $800 down payment and $600 on pickup and $600 on deliver. well moving day comes and company stated it would be $1000 for them to take the stuff and $1000 which was $800 more then i was quoted. They stated that whoever quoted they did not know. Story short.. when I get to my destination the gentlemon states it was $200 extra since they had to walk up to buildin.. I was speechless and I told the guy I did not have the extra $200 and that I told the company where to deliver plus there was an elevator..so from initial quote of $2000 the total cost added every time they came (pickup & deliver) was $1000 for a total of $3000 for the move!! Do not use this company. The reviews that you see online and on Reddit are true. The sales team bait you with good pricing and then when the movers show up they have minimal space. Their CS line has an "explanation" that all they do is use software that averages volume based on DOT data, but doesn't account for variance. Regardless, these people do not have their customers best interest at heart. If I could give them Zero stars I would because of how unethical they are. Be prepared to make your move twice as stressful if you use this company. read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would! this is the worst experience I've ever had with a company. When we first got a quote back in April, we got quoted for $1700, we didnt know what all I would be moving at the time but the guy on the phone said "don't worry, the truck is big enough if you need to add more" Now come to September when I get my quality assurance I get charged an extra $1000 that I had to pay on the spot. we were NEVER told that if we added more we would be charged more, the rude lady on the phone said "as an adult she reads all her contracts before she EVER signs them" Then comes the day before the move we finally got a call at 7pm at night says that the truckers will be there between 7a-9a..... 10am rolled around and no one has shown up. After over an hour of calling and talking to multiple different people trying to figure out where these truckers are we were told "there is not guaranteed time" and on top of that we were told it can take up to 2 to 10 business days for me to get my stuff. Finally the movers got there around 2pm and we were charged an extra $700 because we had "too big of boxes that weren't on the sheet, and extra stuff" they wanted to charge me $300 for a cat tree!!!! we asked the movers when we would get it and he originally said 1 week which turned into 2-3 days and then he said he would get it to us the next day. Obviously that was all a lie. For the whole week of waiting there was NO communication or acknowledgement. we cant get ahold of this company is your life depends on it. You get told a different story everytime you get ahold of someone. this whole company is a lie and a scam!!! I've been in my empty apartment for over a week now still waiting for stuff and was just told that my stuff is still in a warehouse in the state I left it in and it can take up to 21 days before I could receive my items!!! This is the most unethical moving company I have ever dealt with. Two moves, one from Nevada, one from Arizona, both to Texas. Movers show up to Nevada, start sweating me immediately for a tip and this a bulk item. Well, your estimator quoted it. Still I paid the ransom of $550 extra (crooks). Second movers in Arizona shows up three days late and has the audacity to say $2000 more because of a Harley. The same Harley that was quoted in the original estimate. Now lets go back and discuss the details. These clowns call you and change the estimate a week before saying you added more stuff. OK, I paid that ransom fee. Silly me. These guys literally showed up and have no idea how to move anything. Top Tier will tell us they are a broker, but really? The same lady who was blowing up my text messages about quotes and service is now a disconnected line. I believed her. Shame on me. 30+ years serving my community, I should have known better. I am contacting my lawyer and my software friends to track down these unethical people and prosecute or destroy their remaining business. read more

They also kept communicating with me with what they were doing and wanted to make sure I was happy. They had blanked and everything to protect our items and furniture. While in her phone they left themselves an excellent review, added $90.00 for travel which was not part of the agreement. PLEASE RUN,NOT WALK WHEN YOU HEAR THE NAME MIKE OR ALMOND. RUN FASTER IF YOU  HEAR BOTH THEIR NAMES IN THE SAME SENTENCE. Because that means your about to get super fucked. I called Top Tier on April 9th 2021 about noon. My sister and I are both moving from two separate locations but are both moving from NY TO GA. She has referred me to them because she said the quote and set up she was given over the phone by MIKE was good. I spoke with  MIKE. I gave MIKE EVERYTHING  that I have that needed to be moved from NY to GA. I explained to him how I had a FAMILY FRIEND that was suppose to move me but did not show up.( later that day I found out that he did not come because he had died the night before) MIKE quoted me about $3,200 then claimed he wasn't charging me for the "elevator" and some other things. He said I was a "small move" and put down I have "571 cubic feet and STILL HAVE ROOM". He gave me a final price of "$2,900". The moving men came they did not speak good English( which I didn't mind as long as they could get the job done) AFTER they packed everything in the truck they called their boss ALMOND and told me that I was now being charged for 1,600 cubic feet but they would give me a discount of 1,100 and my total would me $5,300! When I booked I paid a down payment of $870 and was told to pay $1,019.50 at pick up and $1,019.50 when they drop off.  I explained to ALMOND that MIKE gave me a quote and how I actually CALLED MIKE BACK TO ASSURE HIM THAT I CANT PAY ANY EXTRA SO PLEASE BE SURE THAT THAT IS THE AMOUNT Which he assured me IT WOULD NOT CHANGE! ALMOND was NOT very understanding AND he kept making it a point that " the other moving company didn't show on me" ( after he said it about 4 times I corrected him and told him it wasn't a moving company it was a family friend and he died last night!) I explained that I shouldn't have to suffer because of his employee's mistake and that I did not have that money because that's not what I was quoted. After about an hour of back and forth I got no where. I called my sister in law who speaks Spanish in hopes she could explain the situation better and ALMOND was EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL! He told my sister "she's not on the contract, I don't know why I'm speaking to you and he's not gonna talk to her and that their conversation is over". Then  continued to THREATEN me by telling me " he doesn't have time for this and he'll tell his moving people to take my things out of the truck and put them on the FLOOR AND I WILL LOOSE ME DEPOSIT" In rage because of his disrespectful and unnecessary comment I told him " he was a con artist, I'm calling the police and I'm calling my bank!" After that statement Almond seemed to have a change in his tone and make it seem as though he was going to try to work with me on which he did not because he still charging me an extra $2,400 from what I was quoted and assured in the first place. I gave them $1,120 because I was at the point where I had not choice because I had to get my things out of the space I had rented. ALMON made sure to make it a point that when they things arrive in GA "they will not open the truck door until I pay the remaining balance of "$3,247". ALMON claims that once he "reloads" the truck at the wear house "if the cubic feel are less he'll take money off". MIKE IS A CRIMINAL! He is a liar ! And he gives misinformation!  I think its HORRIBLE that i financially prepared my self to even pay a couple hundred dollars more if needed but being quoted $2,400 MORE is just wrong! After I caved in and gave them the money I called my sister and she told me they DID THE SAME THING TO HER!! Quoted her $2,900 then ended up paying $3,600!!!!! I'm writing  this review now but I will UPDATE IT ONCE MY BELONGINGS ARE IN GA AND MY SITUATION IS RESOLVED IN A FAIR AND UNDERSTANDING MANNOR. But until then DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!! My dad had a bad moving experience with another company just a month before my move with Top Tier, and it was kind of fun to brag about how well my move went, and how fair the prices were. I reached out to Rob at Top Tier Moving in January 2019 to inquire about moving an upright piano for me (from one location in CT to another - total miles around 20), and I couldn't have been more pleased with Rob, his staff, and their service and attention to detail to ensure the piano was well-protected in the move and in its new location. Rob (and staff) were very professional and accommodating (both with scheduling and re-scheduling the move due to inclement weather), but also, upon arriving at the original location where the piano resided, Rob and his staff were shoveling the driveway and walkways to ensure a smooth move. They were very caring and had experience with moving pianos. They secured it safely in their truck and drove carefully to make sure the piano would arrive in its new location, safely and unharmed. Rob and his crew are trustworthy professionals who completed a top notch job moving our two bedroom apartment to our new home. Price was reasonable, actually a little cheaper, than other companies who did not even have their own moving trucks. Top Tier has their own truck, they don't rent a Uhaul, and they come equipped to tape, pack, and get all of your belongings to their destination as seamlessly as possible. I just had to write a reveiw after my experience with Top Tier movers this week. Top Tier is top notch! I really think you cannot go wrong with Rob in charge. I just moved to Thomaston this week, and my movers from home, who had come so well-reccommended, were a very sorry contrast the professionalism and efficiency of the Top Tier guys here. We rented a UHaul in my hometown in NY and used 2 movers there to pack up. I was truly trying to save every dollar on this move, but I wanted to hire two professionals to supervise the move, in addition to my son's friends. Well, my son's high school friends did way more work! My movers there took a LOT of breaks while everyone else worked hard, and did such a poor job packing that we had to delay our trip here the next morning by several hours while my brother-in-law unpacked and repacked the WHOLE truck to fit in the rest of the stuff they said "could not fit". Because we were late, my brother-in-law drove the truck on ahead, while my husband and I stayed behind to cleanup the old house and then followed in our car. We kept in touch with Rob who is VERY consistently reliable in communicating, and Rob was very patient with the repeated, unexpected delays, and adjusted each time. Then, because we were many hours behind the truck, and it was late in the day, my Brother-in-law decided to unload the truck, with Top Tier's help, onto the main floor of our house. I was nervous about this decision but had to leave it to him. I was also nervous about Top Tier, because I did not have time to research movers on this end, so I just sort of blindly picked them, and just had to trust God it would work out. It did. We arrived to find that things had been piled in an orderly, compact way, so it didn't look too bad. My Brother-in-Law assured me it was worth my money to have Top Tier come back in the morning and help me sort it out, rather than use the family help we were thriftily considering, because, after working with them, he assured me that the Top Tier guys were worth every dollar. Since my Brother in-Law is pretty observant and is VERY critical about things being done right, I accepted his opinion, and I am so glad! Rob and his young helper, also efficient and courteous and smart, returned in the morning and helped me sort it all out. In complete contrast to the movers back in NY, these guys did not waste ANY time. They MOVED! They are not only strong, but smart. Let me tell you, strong is not enough, you need to move SMART, too! Rob says on his website that he is 3rd-generation experienced with moving, and this SHOWS. Efficeinccy is half the battle, and Rob has this down, totally. Finally, besides strong and smart, you need a good work ethic and they have this. They seem to respect that you are shelling out your hard-earned money for their help and they aren't going to waste it on you. These guys have ETHICS, and that is something you don't learn overnight. Its a way of life. So Rob and his worker got the job done in a little under three hours because they moved CONSTANTLY and WELL. And I am pretty picky and precise, and gave a LOT of instructions of just how everything should be, so I probably am not so "easy" at these times. I also changed my mind sometimes (like, "Oh, dear, I think all of these boxes should go over here, instead.") And they helped me move and shuffle things and never lost patience, just quicky did whatever I asked, remaining CONSISTENTLY COURTEOUS and POLITE. And believe me, that means a WHOLE LOT when you are stressed out from a move! I think my excellent experience with Top Tier was not due to them just having a good day, but due to a genuine deep-down, good work ethic that Rob lives, and likely learned from his own family. You can just tell. Therefore I am confident that anyone else will also have an excellent experience if they hire Top Tier. And compare rates! You will be SURPRISED! Because not only do you get top notch work ethic, stength and smarts with Top Tier, you also get the BEST RATES around! Compare and see! Its the BEST FOR LESS! Don't pass it up!!! read more

These guys are great and Rob is amazing. We moved from a large home and downsized, so we had lots of stuff and very small place to put them. These guys packed everything with clean moving blankets that you could actually sleep under. I'm not kidding. You could tell how meticulous Rob is by the way he had them perfectly folded. They wrapped our beautiful Stickley furniture in blankets then cardboard then plastic wrap. You could drop it down a flight of stairs without a scratch. They even helped us put everything in place when they moved in. They managed to get a huge mattress with a pillow top, up a small hallway without a single scratch or scrape on the wall. It was a marvel to watch. Overall, I was amazed at how well Rob treated us, how he followed up and even accommodated us when we needed to switch the date. Such nice guys deserving of your business. I highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat. P.s. They had the most reasonable price. Not too expensive and not cheap. Just the right price and very flexible pricing structure.
