These guys loaded a pod for me last year. We had a deal in writing that the charge was $425 for 2-3 hours. They got most things in the pod in less than 90 minutes, then the 2 helper guys just stood around while my husband and Paul did the rest. They used their pickup to ferry the boxes from the house to the pod, which really sped things up, but then the 2 helper guys covered the back of the truck and acted weird and frankly kind of menacing. Paul charged me an extra 100 dollars for using the truck even though they'd spent half the time loading because of it. They didn't really finish the job, but they were so intimidating that I paid it - $525 for about 95 minutes work. And I have spent a year looking for one box of religious artifacts that were supposed to be loaded on that pod - I can only assume that the two guys had shoved a box into the truck bed and were guarding it towards the end. I hope they enjoyed the relics of my dead nephew, which I would very much like to have back, and my meditation supplies. Perhaps they needed those things more than I did. Overcharged, plus missing things = worst mini-moving experience ever. Would not recommend. read more

I'm late in writing this review, but wanted to be sure to leave one as I was very happy with the move that Paul and his helpers did for me. Last summer (2017- yes, I'm very late in writing this!) I needed to quickly move an elderly relative from an apartment to assisted living, all within the limits of Torrington. I live outside of CT so I needed to work efficiently to purge/clean/pack up the apartment since I had a tight timeframe of being in town. When Paul and his team arrived the morning of the move (on time!) they were easy to work with. Although I was able to pull the move together pretty quickly, there were some items that were not packed up when he arrived, but they were able to work around me as I finished up some of the last minute packing and they didn't grumble about it. ;-) I also realized at the last minute (once we started moving items into the new place) that we were not going to have room for a couple larger pieces of furniture. I had been worried about this and had given him a heads up about it as we packed up the apartment. Paul worked with me on making sure that they were disposed of/donated/given away (for an additional nominal fee). I was so grateful to not have to worry about it as I needed to quickly move in/set up my relative's new place before I was scheduled to fly back out of town. Paul and his team were instrumental in this happening! It's been over a year, but I don't recall any damage to any of the moved items or the walls so that's always a plus! They came out of their way with a reasonable quote when everyone else was only interested in upping the charges for the distance. They came on time and loaded in record time, drove an hour and unpacked it up slippery outdoor steps just as quickly. I was glad to have found them and impressed from start to finish. In 2014, Paul moved me from Vernon to South Windsor. I was so impressed that when a friend wanted her household goods moved from Bloomfield CT to Tampa Florida, I suggested she contact Paul. She did and he did a great job for her. Last week, I sold my home in Florida and Paul moved all of the furniture from there to my home in Connecticut. I oversaw the loading process and could not have been more impressed. The truck was loaded on a Monday night and the furniture was in CT on Thursday morning. Paul and his team are efficient, courteous and reasonable. There are no surprises. Would never recommend another moving company. read more

I am forced to give 1-star, but I would not give any. We had them move us from CT to NH for a price, but to find out that they could not do the job and requested more money, after the job was done. I am not a mover, but I knew from the beginning that they could not do the move with what they estimated to use. Unfortunately, I could not be there to over see the move, as I was working in NH and my wife had to handle the move. There were items left behind because they did not have the right equipment and we did not get all of our items. All I could say they Items were stolen, as they had the items on the truck for 3 days before the move, so that gave them plenty of time to go through items to pick what they want. I would not use this firm for any out of state job and make sure if you do use them count for everything, as items will be missing. They made out financially on the items we do not have. read more
