HIRE THESE GUYS! I cannot say enough good stuff about Ethan and his crew! We moved at the end of October (2022) and we could. NEVER have managed it without Stonehenge Movers. I booked my appointment vía Yelp and received a confirmation within 24 hours. About 10 days later, when it became apparent that we weren't going to be ready on our original moving day, I called and asked to reschedule. Ethan accommodated me immediately and sent me a second confirmation without any hesitation. On the day of our move the gigantic truck rolled up 15 minutes ahead of schedule and the guys got to work! And damn, did they work HARD! I was only 95% ready for them so I kept packing up the last minute things while they hauled ass up and down the flight of stairs to our second floor apartment. They took one 15 minute break (No complaints from me! They deserved that, and more!) and then went back to work. At the end of FOUR HOURS the truck was packed and we were off to the new location. The guys grabbed an incredibly fast lunch in between places and were back on the job in less time than it took for Ethan to park the truck where he wanted it and have a look around. They worked for THREE MORE HOURS - again, up and down the stairs - and even took the time to make sure our boxes got to the right rooms. The whole time they worked I didn't hear a single complaint; not even an annoyed look or tone of voice. If they complained behind our backs...WHO CARES?! They kept every interaction professional and pleasant. (If our positions had been reversed I'd have been crying the whole day because I'm weak and old! ) The whole experience was great, from beginning to end. When it was done I felt like my "thank you so much" didn't even begin to express the extent of our gratitude for the amazing job they did. The final price was reasonable and we chose to tip each guy $30 for their exceptional work. In talking to someone later, I discovered that it's not typical to tip movers and all I can say is WHY NOT?! They're working their butts off and I could never have done the move without them! I was very happy with the service I got from Stonehenge. They showed up on time (actually a few minutes early), were very friendly and professional, billed me for the amount of the estimate, and most importantly, didn't break anything. I called Stonehenge movers at the last minute and they were great about fitting us in to complete the final part of our CA to MA move. They unloaded a POD we had packed ourselves and were very understanding of our last minute efforts to stuff the POD with items outside of the boxes. The young men were polite and really patient with my young son who has a knack for getting underfoot. They prefer cash (or personal check) and are easily reached by phone. We had a large move from involving furniture and other materials from 8,000 sq feet of space including an 800 lb piano that needed to go up stairs among other pieces of hard to move furniture. Met every promise and expectation and beyond. Not a scratch on the floors or walls. Highly courteous and hard working staff. When new needs arose or surprises came up they dealt with them. Incredible integrity on start and stop time. No hidden charges. Very professional, everyone wore masks religiously (move was during the covid epidemic). Would highly recommend this company. Since moving companies don't have a lot of repeat business customer focus is rare. Stonehenge was exceptional. read more

They were excellent. Showed up right on time (even a little early, but called first). Spent time planning so nothing would get scratched. When something went wrong (elevator was th oo small, door too narrow) that worked hard to get the piece in as needed with no issues. Very pleasant. Would and will use them again. (Response to the owner's response) You either do not have the fact straight or you must have me confused with someone else. The day after we spoke was 7/23, not 8/12. I called you on 7/23 and you never called me back. And when I emailed you again on 7/26, you didn't respond. There is no record of you ever calling me and leaving me a voicemail before 9/6. Even if you actually sent me a confirmation and left me a voicemail on the day before, where is the confirmation from me? How do you charge your customers hundreds of dollars without a written agreement/contract and a written confirmation from not on your side but from the customer side? The only vague estimate you gave me was "we charge $160 per hour for three guys and the truck. Typically 4 bedroom homes are at least a full day for 3 guys and the truck, sometimes we need 2 trucks and six guys. It really just depends on how much stuff you have". How much is this?? $1,280? Read the Statute of Frauds. I didn't cancel the job because there never was one to begin with. The other truck driver sent us a "written" confirmation of the cancellation but still showed up. When we pointed that out, he admitted his mistake. You, on the other hand, are still trying to blame me for your mistake. You don't seem to realize that it could have been avoided if you simply called me back, emailed me back, signed a written contract or called and actually talked to me a few days before you came over. You have no one to blame but yourself for this one. read more

Stonehenge recently helped me move on somewhat short notice. They were quick and professional, and my mother noted they were also the quietest, politest, most helpful movers we've ever had. The move cost more than we were originally quoted, but it also took longer, and the price wasn't unreasonable. I'm about to hire them for their third move with me. Stonehenge just helped us with a big and complicated move. We cannot recommend them highly enough. They arrived on time, took excellent care of our furniture and other items. There was NO DAMAGE!! All of the movers who worked with us over different parts of the move were polite and helpful -- offering even to do more than asked. And do these guys ever work hard! I can't say enough positive things about Stonehenge Movers! The crew was on time, took care with all of my boxes and furniture, and problem solved a potentially expensive problem. We found out the hard way that my couch was too big for the old, small doors in my Northampton apartment. Daniel and Ethan tried numerous options before hoisting my couch up to a second floor porch window! Consumer beware! These movers provided below-standard service. I made some mistakes too, and now I am a much smarter consumer. They estimated the cost and time over the phone, and never came to my apartment to see what I had to move. They work by time and materials, not a lump sum price - and they didn't provide a contract. They took twice as long to move my stuff, and they didn't even move the boxes into the rooms marked on the boxes. They put everything in the entrance hall and kitchen and said they'd be back in the morning (at my cost). They didn't come back the next day, and on the following day I moved 50 boxes on my own. They drove over the sidewalk at the apartment I was moving out of and cracked it. Then, when I was unpacking, I realized that many of my dishes in one box broke. I called the company repeatedly to resolve it, and when I finally caught them on the phone the owner Dan told me he would have his insurance company call me; they never have. I followed up with Dan and left a message; he has never called back. I tried to stop payment, which I made on my credit card, but because there is no contract, they couldn't stop payment. This is an awful moving company. Don't use them and have to deal with the headaches I did. read more
