The entire move was seamless and under our budget due to the efficiency of the team. Starting with Dee, the amazing office manager ending with our team of movers. Tim, John and Joe. We chose them, even though they were the tiniest but higher on hourly because when I called and got Dee the first time she gave me advice on what to watch out for when choosing a mover. As I was calling around those red flags were coming up. We are so glad we came back to Advantage Moving. If we ever need to move again we will definitely be calling Dee and the team. Highly recommend! read more

I trust these guys and have used them more than once. Terrible experience with another company that was highly recommended. These guys were on it the second they stepped in the house. They were professional, courteous, and very skilled with our precious items. Don't even bother to go anywhere else. I can tell you there are plenty of duds available. Choose the one that will get you throuhg the move with the least amount of anxiety. read more

These guys did a great job! It was one of my best moving experiences to date & I've moved 16 times within my 21 years in Austin. They were punctual, courteous, professional and efficient. They communicated really well with me and one another and literally took all the stress out of the moving process. I would recommend this company to anyone. Thanks guys! read more

Best moving experience I've had in 30 years of living in the Austin area. They were on time, professional and moved FAST while taking care of all our moving items. Friendly, helpful...did not sit on the clock. Highly recommend. Thanks to Scott and his team! Will only call them for future moves... read more

We used Advantage Moving to move after we sold our house and we're moving to a rental. Four friendly and professional guys showed up on time, worked hard and were very courteous. A job very well done! Cost was very reasonable, I would highly recommend! read more

Called Tom when I needed to move a baby grand piano from a seller's expiring storage unit to my house on the day of UT Football game (heavy highway traffic). Tom didn't try to up-charge for the late notice and short timeline like other companies did, and the Advantage team quickly and carefully delivered the piano to my house before the start of the game! Thank you! read more

Jeremy, Todd and the crew were awesome. We moved a 3 bedroom home from Buda to McKinney for a little under 5K. I did a lot of prep work to make it easier for the guys and they appreciated that. Great attitude, friendly, respectful, very fast (everyone spoke English) and if you let them know about things you'd like them to pay special attention to they will take care of it. No damages to old home or new home or the furniture. Will use them again if I move, highly recommended. read more

Professional, efficient, personable. We lived in the same house for 31 years. They called 15 min before arriving (like they said they would) at 730AM, loaded up all our worldly possessions (while we watched) took great care of everything- and extra care with anything we mentioned. Drove 80 mi.es to the new place, and unloaded everything patiently while we figured out where to put it all! All this and done by 1PM Cannot recommend them enough! read more

Loved their team. Tom responded quickly to my inquiry. Greg, Joe, and Joe arrived early, moved quickly, and were super careful with our things. They were efficient and communicated well. Highly recommend! read more

On-time, professional, helpful, careful, courteous. We've used them twice and, based on our recommendation, friends also used their services. Everything a moving company should be. read more

These guys had a very quick response time to my quote, but when they showed up it took them 3 hours to move 2 rooms and a bathroom of furniture. They also added an hourly distance charge I was unaware of. They broke my things and took 3 weeks to come out and see the damage, then told me it was my fault for throwing away the broken glass because I didn't want my 2 year old nephew getting hurt. Only responded to my emails and repair/reimbursement requests when I threatened to go to the BBB (which is where i found them in the first place). I have a plant I dug up from my grandfathers yard when he passed and I replanted it in a pot that I've had for 10 years now. The movers crushed it by placing another full potted plant on top of it and then told me the damage looks as though it's due to lack of care and not being crushed. He literally offered me a "couple bucks" for it. I have signed and numbered artwork that custom framed. One of my pieces was mishandled somehow and the frame broke. Instead of compensating me for the estimate I sent them, the owner Tom came over and tried to mash it together for 5 minutes to "see how it worked." The worst part is one of the movers bled on my couch and then rubbed it in. I understand accidents happen, but when the owner called to inquire about this he said I should just wipe it off with a wet rag. I am going through the BBB to get my money back for my move and the damages covered for my things as they refused to reimburse me for all of it. The owner was inconsiderate, rude, and insulting. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you value your belongings. read more

The twelve months I spent in my first apartment flew too fast--not because I liked the apartment or had any sentiments about it being my first place, but I just really hate packing and moving. I know nobody LIKES these things, but a really awesome moving company sure makes it a lot less stressful, and that's where Advantage Moving comes in. I got a quote a few weeks in advance (with a generous Yelp discount, to boot!) and was thrilled to find it was significantly less than the few others I'd gotten. On moving day, two guys in an Advantage Moving truck showed up right at 8:30 with two dollies and a mass of other moving equipment. Both were friendly, good-spirited and wasted no time getting started. Furniture that would take three of me to drag across carpet was lifted over a shoulder and carefully maneuvered down a winding staircase. I was even complimented on my togetherness and organization despite running out of tape two boxes too early. From my three-story walk-up to an unlit storage unit in a narrow hallway, these guys got my stuff in safely and were always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was happy with everything. The price was exactly what I was quoted and the whole move took less than two hours. One of the guys even turned out to be a fan of my favorite hockey team! How cool is that? I only wish they did interstate moves! read more

Every year I pack up my stuff and move to a new area code. I'm always shocked and/or disappointed by the cost of movers and damage done during the moving process. Typical Movers are late, rude, have to stop for gas, or want to charge you extra for things that should be included. Advantage moving company gave me a new perspective on how pleasant moving actually can be. Advantage movers truly went the extra mile to meet my needs and be sure I was completely satisfied with the experience before they gathered a single cent. I received a reminder phone call the day before the move date. The guys arrived early *gasp!*, didn't waste a single moment, listened to me carefully as I pointed out what was mine and what was my room mates, and packed my entire place up in less than an hour. When we arrived at my new place, the guys unpacked my stuff extremely quickly. They both checked in with me before setting certain furniture down to be sure I was satisfied with the location. I let them know I only wanted to spend $200 and they were kind enough to alert me when we hit the cut-off (by which these miracle movers were already finished). They worked as a team to ensure I was totally happy with every aspect of the move. I'm excited to move in the future knowing that I have a dependable source I can call for help. Not only were they the fastest and most considerate movers I've ever worked with, they were also the cheapest. I will absolutely be recommending them to family and friends. I believe my two movers names were Jeremy and Juan. They were the best! Hopefully next time I'll have the opportunity to request them again. read more

The first time I used Advantage was a great experience. Three guys were sent out, they were on time, careful, fast, and didn't nickle and dime the small items and additional boxes. The next time I moved I used a company referred by a friend but had a bad experience so this most recent move, I called Advantage again. This time I got two guys and a dented frig, dish washer and chipped dresser. And I would have gone out and gotten the largest boxes I could find if I knew they were going to tick mark off each and every box. I'll be hard pressed to use them again and will certainly insist on a different crew if I do. Oh, and I will not use small, carry-able boxes that are all the same size, they will be huge. read more

These guys have gained a loyal customer. I traditionally am very leery of movers, after having a truly awful experience with another company some years ago. (Long story; suffice it to say, they busted up most of my kitchenware) Anyway, moving on to this company: The guys were cool and un-creepy (c'mon girls, you know how you dread the creepy mover guys) and were very careful with my stuff. I will be calling them any time I have to move in the future, and will recommend them to my friends. read more

Five star reviews are rare for me these days, but Advantage Moving gets ALL of 'em! Here's why: *quick response, quote, & scheduling *showed up a little later than quoted, but called to update me and let me know *sent THREE STRONG movers who were FAST *charged by the hour vs by the item (which can often bite you in the behind) *didn't spend hours necessarily covering stuff in plastic wrap to buy up time *moved me in half of the minimum req time and stayed to assemble bed *they were just plain friendly Note: you won't see these guys showing up in fancy embroidered polo shirts like other movers, but they get the job done quickly and efficiently and they don't jack up the price like other movers. I've since recommended them to several people! read more

These folks are amazing!!! We've had several moves and they are on top of everything! Dee is a sweetheart and Tom is so kind and professional. Called them last minute to add a giant playscape to our move (playscape movers couldn't make it last minute) and they did everything they could to accommodate! Also, not only do they love ALL your stuff- have big big furniture that may need disassembling and assembling done! I got to my new home (after my husband stayed with them) to find it looking like we had been there for a while! Amazing organization, fast ( they are per hour and they DON'T take advantage of that), cautious, kind, hard working on top of everything! I tell all my friends about Tom and his crew and always will!!! Thank you all!!!!! The Anderson Family! Here we go again:) See you soon! read more

I've used this company for two moves. Both were phenomenal experiences. The first was a last minute unplanned emergency (long story). They luckily had capacity and sent over a couple guys with almost no notice. The guys were fast and efficient moving my things from a house to a third floor apartment across town. I was amazed at how quickly they did it, and with smiles whole time! The second move was actually to leave Austin and, sadly, Texas as well. They helped me pack up my trailer far better than I could have hoped to do myself. Everything arrived safe and sound after a very long road trip. At the same time, they helped move some appliances to a friend for me. Unfortunately, there was a little damage during this move. They went out of their way to help with the repairs. I was very happy with the customer service provided. Everything ended up great in the end. I wouldn't consider any other moving company in Austin, if I were to move back. read more

These guys were amazing. Arrived early because they had an opening in the time slot before mine and offered to help me pack but my apartment was not even close to ready so I declined. They came back about 10 min before their scheduled time which was perfect since I had to make some adjustments to the inventory I had previously given them. I got a new quote on the spot which was more than reasonable. The team moved everything from my third floor apartment in just a few minutes. Unloading everything was so quick and they even asked me what I wanted to go in specific rooms. Not to mention Dee was so helpful from my initial quote to answering all my questions about my inventory. She remained in contact up until the day of the move just to make sure everything was still going ahead as planned. Overall, they were truly awesome. I will definitely recommend this team to anyone moving. read more

Advantage not only had the best price, but they were very patient with me as I had to reschedule about 4 times (thanks, stupid mortgage company!). When we finally moved they showed up promptly, and they got the job done with no problems at all. The even gave us a discount (in addition to the awesome Yelp coupon on this page) because a neighbor of ours came up to the moving guys and struck up a deal to have them move their stuff. Overall, I would recommend them - nothing was damaged, and it's a great value for the money. read more

Advantage Moving saved my life! I called under a very short notice, and the receptionist was very prompt and polite with returning my request for a quote. she walked me through my request to make sure we were on the same page as to what needed to be picked up from my current home. She told me the available times and even game me suggestions on the best times to schedule. Once scheduled, she sent me a confirmation that highlighted all the items that needed to be picked up. The next day, I received a call confirming my scheduled pick-up. The day of pick up (today) Chris and Thomas arrived within the allotted time and quickly began to move the items from my home. They were super sweet and worked efficiently the entire time. They even gave me suggestions on how I should set my new room with the furniture! I can't thank Chris and Thomas enough because I know my furniture was extremely heavy. Moving from the third floor to a first floor apartment, they took care of every piece :) Thank you so much Advantage Moving! It's companies like yours that deserve to be praised! ***Tip your movers! I decided to go with Advantage Movers after a few horrible experiences with other companies. Van Lines over charged me and lost a bunch of my things. I hired 2 guys on Craigslist and they broke a bunch of my stuff. I hired Advantage because a friend used them the month before and said they did a good job. They were awesome. They came in and explained the quote and made everything very clear. They got to work and loaded up everything incredibly fast. I could tell they were definetly professional. I'm ALWAYS moving with advantage from here on out. read more

After three movers bailing on me last minute, I was completely freaking out about getting out of my rental on time. Advantage Movers complete saved me. I called them at probably 6 pm on the recommendation of a friend, and they moved me the very next morning. They were friendly, fast, and did a great job. read more

We used Advantage at the end of March, and couldn't have been happier. They contacted us several times to confirm our date and time, as well as, go over the list of items being moved. They showed up on time, were productive, and careful. We were moving from a large 2 story house to another 2 story house, and they got everything loaded, unloaded, and put back together in less than 6 hours. A few days after the move, someone followed up to confirm everything went smoothly. I can definitely say I am happy with the results, I would use them again. read more

They got the job done, but refused to wear masks and didn't bother putting a lot of the well labeled boxes in the appropriate rooms and were kind of grumbly about all of the stuff they had to move. I wouldn't recommend them especially during the time of a pandemic when you are concerned about your safety. read more

Moved from Austin to Ft Worth and Advantage moved us. They did a wonderful job. Price was very reasonable and the team was terrific. They were organized and quick. The things I had put into the garage were stacked neatly. Thank you Tom and team for a painless move. read more

These guys were fantastic. They showed up on time were courteous, kind, and professional. They handled my items with care. They worked as fast as they could once that clock started! Disassembled multiple pieces of furniture (and reassembled) moved me to the new location and dropped my washer and dryer at another location all in an hour and a half. It was truly amazing! Moving is not a fun task but this crew had an upbeat attitude the entire time. I will definitely use them again. Thank you so much for all your help! read more

Loved these guys - from the speed of the quote, to them recommending it would be better to go for a price / hour versus a set price, to the arrival, to the loading and unloading, these guys were the very best. I did my own packing to save money, so I cannot comment on that area of a move, but everything else was great: -contact before the move -arrived on time -speed of loading and unloading -care for my things - I had a lot of glass items - desks, tables, framed art -the workers were up beat, cheerful, bright and so easy to be around -I even got a hug at the end from one of the guys (Joseph?) and it made my day. I highly recommend this team and I am quite particular about my things- as I am guessing you are, also, if you are reading reviews! read more

These guys were awesome and literally the best movers I've ever had. Responsive, professional and efficient. Well worth the slightly higher price just for their obvious experience and professionalism. Will definitely use them for future moves. read more

I have used these guys a couple of times and I have NEVER been disappointed. Tom and his crew are very professional and fast! My husband and I recently moved out of our two-bedroom condo and decided to hire movers since we had heavy appliances (including a front-loading washing machine on the 2nd story -- yikes!). After checking Yelp and seeing Advantage Moving's 20% off coupon for Yelp customers and good reviews, I figured they were at least worth getting an estimate. The estimate came in very reasonably, and we were sold! We had exactly 100 boxes, plus furniture, appliances and a grill and the two movers were very professional, skilled, and quick. They clearly knew what they were doing and filled both their truck and our storage unit very efficiently. They were very helpful in letting us know that adding this or that on to the estimate might be more expensive than we'd be wanting to pay (i.e. shoe organizers) - so we took them in our car and they loaded them in to the storage unit with the other items that they'd transported. **In response to Melody T's issue with items not being "on the list" - our two movers were very accommodating in letting us add things on site to the quote. As a matter of fact, we had called ahead of time to ask about getting a re-quote (once we'd packed and saw exactly how much stuff we had!) and the manager said that it is their standard policy to adjust the quote ON SITE and that it would be no problem.** In all, we would highly recommend them! It made our first move much easier and hassle-free! read more

I have moved 6 times, all over the Austin area, and each and every time I used Advantage. They are not only reliable and dependable and reliable, they are efficient and fast. The crews are always friendly and extremely helpful, which as a single woman I deeply appreciated. The online quotes were accurate, and there were never any hidden or surprise fees or charges. Moving is always stressful, and knowing I have a company I can rely on always makes things a little bit easier. I highly recommend anyone who needs a moving company call them. You can count on the price, rest assured that they will show up on time, and that your belongings are safe in their hands. Thanks, Advantage! You're the BEST!! read more

Made my moving process so much easier and less stressful. I needed them to store my furniture and boxes because the new place wasn't ready yet. So they moved everything out of the old place. My husband and I moved from Pflugerville to Lewisville a few weeks ago and the guys from Advantage Moving were AMAZING! Those two guys were some of the hardest working people I have ever met. They loaded up our house into their truck in under 2 hours, were very accommodating when we requested to drop two items off at my sister's house on the west side of Fort Worth, and unloaded our stuff into a garage and apartment in Lewisville in record time. Despite the heavy lifting and terrible traffic everywhere they went, they never stopped smiling! One of our bookcases was damaged in the move, but they proactively documented it and made sure we understood their claim process before leaving. The fact that their pricing is very competitive is just icing on the cake. Thanks, Advantage Moving, for making our transition to a new city that much easier and worry-free! read more

I was also looking for a storage unit and Tom was kind enough to mention affordable and clean places in Austin. Moving is stressful enough, and having incredible movers such as this company, I felt very fortunate. We had booked our date 3 weeks in advance and the when we called the day of the move, Dee knew exactly assured us the time and place.
