There is still at least one honest roofer in Denver. Tom was wonderful to work with. I had such a good experience I decided to tell the story here since I've had some roofing jobs go very bad. From the hail storm in June 2017 we had lots of water in the house. I found Tom's number recommended on NextDoor. We were leaving on vacation in a few days for several weeks and needed some patching done ASAP. Tom showed up on time and patched the roof and sent great pictures to show what had been done. Tom thought there might be enough hail damage to make a roof claim which I pursued when I got back. Tom was the ONLY roofer of 3 others who gave me a bid to replace the roof, no questions asked. All the other roofers who were recommended from neighbors wanted to see the insurance estimate first before they quoted. Everyone was very busy from the storm but Tom was patient the whole time I told him I was shopping around. I finally got tired of being pushed around and managed by the other roofers and asked Tom if he could do the work. I was worried that Tom was all show and talk. That when work got started he would disappear. He was on-site everyday usually the first one at the house and the last one to leave. Tom was great. He was fairly priced, did quality work, and was available by text and phone. Our roof was damaged by the recent hail and we contacted a number of companies. Tom responded quickly and, unlike some of the other companies, I didn't feel like I was dealing with someone who was simply trying to lock in a sale. He took the time to understand what we needed/wanted, made some suggestions for possible upgrades, but never pressured us one way or the other. During the process there was a few delays (due to the schedule of the midroof inspection) but Tom communicated with us through the whole process. I was never left wondering what was supposed to be happening. We did also speak with Tom about installing some clear panels over our deck that were also damaged. Tom included that in the bid and then later realized that he underbid. He was very upfront with us and apologetic and went out of his way to assist us even after we decided not to pursue that aspect of the project. Bottom line: it was a pleasure to work with Tom, he was fairly priced, and he did great work. Tom and Advanced Construction Roofing was top notch on every level. Local, honest, and trustworthy. He squeezed us in quickly despite it being small job. Which is a big deal right now with so many roofers pulling in much higher margins on full reroof jobs from all the wind/hail claims. We never felt neglected or second class to his larger jobs. Communication was fast and clear, and he handled 99% of the communication/negotiation with our insurance company. He delivered on every promise he made, and we felt comfortable every step of the way. As for the work itself, the roof looks great and is of higher quality than what it replaced. Tom handled every step of the permit/inspection process, and kept me up to date with text messages and photos of the progress. The work was done quickly, and his crew did a great job cleaning up when all was done. I literally couldn't ask for more. He will be our go to roofer going forward. We had our roof replaced, following severe hail damage. I had four different companies come out to give me bids. All of them were good, reputable companies, and the costs were roughly the same. He came out and inspected our roof and noticed that the insurance adjuster had missed a couple things when he was there to assess the damage. Tom photographed everything to show me, so that I didn't have to climb up on the roof. Tom and his team did a great job. Following a hail storm in Denver, we consulted his team about damage to the roof of two buildings. They were honest about the first, stating that it did not need to be replaced or repaired, which I appreciated after another company knocked on our door and stated that beyond doubt the whole roof had to be replaced. They assessed another building and told me that it needed to be replaced. They worked quickly to get the estimate done, work with my insurance company, get the permits and get the roof replaced. They even came to me (I live at a different neighborhood in Denver) when it was time to pick out shingles and pay the deposit check. As I mentioned they worked with my insurance company to make sure that I didn't have to pay any more than my deductible, and they fixed several code violations on the roof. This is a fantastic company! They responded to my call very quickly and then scheduled a visit into their busy schedule for just a couple of days later. I had a small leak in a skylight which was repaired immediately with reassurance that any additional problems would be taken care of. They even inspected the rest of the roof and took care of a couple of other problems, all for a very reasonable price!
