Advanced Car Stereo is under new management and let me tell you that before the changes came along this place was horrible and bad customer service. The installers broke my side floor panels from the clip section, the part that runs the cables through the floor all the way to the trunk and my mats were missing the clips. They also taped 2 amps together which I thought was crazy but I didn't question it. I said to myself, never again am I going to shop there for my car system needs. But last week I was passing by and noticed they were cleaning and moving stuff around. I decided to go in and to my surprise everyone there was new. I met with Chris, he's the one running the shop now. My first impression of Chris was that he now's his stuff. I told him that I wanted some speakers for voice. He showed me some different brands depending on my budget. I told him that I want top of the line speakers. When Chris saw the way they wired my system he was very upset. He had Santiago who is the installer rewire the whole car. I am very satisfied with the outcome of my system. Big shout out to Santiago who did and amazing job on all the rewiring ect. First day they not only rang us up wrong they changed the quotes on us 3 times. They told us it was a 2 hours job. After two hours they sent us home with an unfinished car. Told us to come back the next day for 2 more hours. Next day comes around and we are there at 11 am. Told them we have my sisters gender reveal at 5. We asked if they would be ready by then and they said yes. They told us 2 hours. We call 4 hours later at 3pm and they told us 5. We asked if we could just pick it up now and they told us no. We told them remember we have the gender reveal and they flat out said why cant you reschedule it. Excuse me! Really? Called at 5 they told us 6:30. Finally 6 rolls around and they call us to pick it up. I took the day off of work for a 2 hour job that took 9 hours between 2 days. Please read the bad reviews. We didn't until it was too late. Edit: later found out they used recycled wire after it melted and filed my cabin with smoke. They also pinched a wire between the frame and wall interfering with electricity flow. They also used a ground when they should of used a converter. Knock off products. The entire wiring needs to be stripped and redone. read more

These guys are crooks, never go there. I went to go get a head unit, amp speakers and a back up camera installed. The price they quoted me was not what they quoted me over the phone. The sales man tried to belittle me for not wanting to pay $1,300 when the originally quoted me $600. Then we came to a deal at $699 for a head unit and a backup camera. Five minutes after taking it back in there shop they call to tell me they shorted out my AC component and that if I bought a new part they would install it for me. That meant I have no AC or heat until I get that part. Then they said that my door speakers needed to be replaced they told they go for $400 but they would give it to me for $300 I said ok but I want to pay $230 because AC component was $70. They said no it was not there fault because I had live wires in my truck. I told them that I did not know that is why I took it to them "professionals". Then the technician and the salesman ganged up on me and refused to take responsibility or discount me for the new speakers install. I told them never mind give me my truck and I am leaving. While checking the work I seen the camera was set upside down. The salesman and the technician stayed inside while I dealt with the jr technician and he was unable to install it correctly. It is being held on by one bolt. You're better off going to Best Buy because it's something like this happens at least you know they have the money to fix or credit you back. read more

Just call the phone and see how unprofessional they are. Came in and set install date with Chris but when day came for install manager said Chris was out sick. I called next day and spoke with Chris and he said he wasn't sick but that's what the owner tells people instead of just being honest and saying a car before me wasn't finished. Set second date for install but Chris never showed again. Called next morning after second scheduled date of install Chris said he would call back in 10 min and never did. I went to the store to get help on a stereo I tried to install myself. The employee was kind enough to look at my work and identified a cable that should not have been hooked up. To my surprise he did not want to charge me for his knowledge, which was obviously very high. I tremendously respect when a service provider is fair, courteous and straight with respect to what things are. ---- SHADY SHOP--- On Sunday, January 28, 2018 I stopped by Advanced Car Stereo because they were the closest. I needed to pick up (2) pairs of 6.5" speakers for my wife's car so I can replace the stock. They said they matched online prices, but still overcharge anyway. Basically online only means Crutchfield. I had a $100 bill, and I said to add the $100 and charge the rest on my card. I made the mistake of assuming they would do it properly, I was distracted and in a hurry and wasn't really checking everything. Ronnie charged my card $150 and kept the $100. I didn't realize this until the following day when my wife asked why I spent $150 when she knew I had just gotten the $100 bill. I drive down there with my receipt and told them what happened. I was nice at first, but they were like "we didn't see any $100 bill, you told us to put it all on the card" So then I just saw red, and I pointed at the kid who sold me the speakers and said "you know what you did, don't make me go down this road, it won't be good for any of you" I noticed they had cameras so I said check the footage. They told me that only the owner could, so I said call the owner then. They call him and he said he's busy, come back tomorrow at 9:30am and he will review the footage with me. So I go there at 9:30, dude's not there. I asked the guy inside to call him and he said he doesn't have his number. I said of course you don't, you're just trying to cover for him now. I looked at the camera that was above where I was standing when I bought the speakers and noticed that the wire running to it was cut. Then I saw he had a sign that said he other stores, so I call the store in Temecula and ask to get the phone number for the owner. She won't give it out , and I told her it was regarding theft. She still wouldn't give it out but she would give a message. So I told her "tell Mo to give me back my money or the next phone call is to the police" and hung up. Less than a minute later the phone rings and the guy answers it and is whispering in the corner. Then he starts counting money and gives me $100. He said "I'm just the middle man, I'm just doing what I'm told. Lovely customer service, told to lie and steal. Never again will I go here. read more

Came here to get a stereo installed and amp for a subwoofer box I have. I got there at 930 am and was done at 2pm. As soon as I got in my truck and drove away I notice my passenger window would not roll up from the driver side and my door locks were not working. I turned around and went back to the shop and while explaining the issue I notice that my alarm didn't work as well. They told me they would look into it and that their installer claimed that the truck was brought in that way. I explained to them that that was not the case. They looked into the problem and later told me the alarm had a blown fuse and relay which they would fix. While telling me about the issue they still questioned the window switch issue. After an additional two hours of looking for the problem they came back telling me that the problem was my switch. I drove home and ordered a switch ($70). The next day I installed the switch and upon attempting to roll up the window the switch burned out and began smoking. There went $70 down the drain. Clearly the shop installer crossed some wires which are creating a short. I do not recommend this shop at all. I waited to post this simply because I wanted to make sure that the problem was indeed caused by this shop. Today I took the truck to an auto technician and after a nice hefty bill of $250, I now have a working window switch. The issue was a wire which was frayed during the stereo installation. Glad my truck didn't burn down do to the negligence of this shop's installer. read more

Went there and got a quote for a new stereo. Made the appointment and brought my truck in the next day. Chris said he had no idea I had an appointment. I told him it was an older white guy. He looked dumbfounded. I told him the price I was quoted he said ok. I pick up my truck the next day and asked him how it went. He responded, "it went". He told me the price and it was $175.00 more then I was quoted. Will not go back there again read more
