For years Ive been wanting to remove a large palm tree in my backyard. So I thought I was Billy Bad Ass on Sunday and decided to cut down my palm tree myself. I Went to home depot rented a chainsaw and went to work. After spending 4 hours cutting my palm tree to the stump, i realized chopping up the rest of my tree and removing the stump would be way too much work for me. I decided to contact the pros for this service. I looked up tree removal here on yelp and contacted 2 highly rated companies and then went on craigslist and contacted 2 more. I went with Advance Tree Service (which I actually found on Craigslist) because the owner Alejandro was prompt to come by and give me quote, he explained the process, and gave me an honest and competitive quote. At least 2 other tree contractors switched their pricing after I explained I would be getting other quotes. Alejandro also advised me of a location in Chino where I could dump my palm tree leaves and green waste for free. This is A service as a Chino resident I had no clue of. Alejandro and his worker showed up the next day at the time we agreed on. They Completed the work as promised and left the work area completely clean. I had a 25/30' ficus tree in our backyard whose roots were starting to scare me in going under our house/into our plumbing. I found Alex and his team on Craigslist and not only did he give a totally reasonable price, but was there within 48 hours with a full team and equipment. Sounded great on the phone. Spoke with the owner, who was nice enough to call me while on vacation. He told me his partner would be in touch with me, and he was. So far so good. I set up an appt with them for an estimate and since I'm moving into a new home, I also had to set up this appt with my realtor as well so she could let us into the yard for our estimate. We waited for Jimmy (I think was his name) to show up for approx 45 min before we left. This took up my time and hers. This is the second time I use Advanced Tree Service. During the last snow storm that damaged so many trees in town, our giant silver maple got decimated. A third of the branches broke and fell over the yard, the sidewalk and the street. Every company out there was overwhelmed and no one would even stop by to look at the damage. I texted Brooks a couple of pics and he showed up within 2 hours even though they were overbooked and over extended. He was going to come back the next day to do the cleanup but he just could not bear leaving me with such a mess. He took his chain saw out and cleared the street and the sidewalk himself. Wow!
