Often, females are treated as if they are ignorant/beneath the one telling them, note I said telling them, not explaining or teaching. I came in this visit to grab some sealant for a project and knew what I was looking for until I arrived at the Aisle and quickly realized there was way more options than I had anticipated and while I knew what project we were going to use it for it was for some 3d printed materials not auto parts therefore the packaging wasn't going to be much help. I pulled out my phone and called husband to ask what I actually was sent to get when someone approached asking if they could help I told husband I would call him back if I needed more help and the guy told me to ask specifically what it was for before I hung up the phone. I explained to him our purpose and he explained the different colors purpose and his personal experience and so I settled on one and then bought a different one too just in case. When we got to register he said he and his family thanked me and my husband for his service, in probably the most sincere way I've ever heard. Customer service like this doesn't exist anymore, I will gladly drive across town to go to this location from here on out. Especially when the whole purpose is to see your newborn granddaughter, but you got to find a place open on Sunday morning close to the hotel to get things looked at first so that you can make the trip home that evening. Not a good start to the day. I figured an early oil change would at least get a mechanic under the hood; then maybe I would get an idea of what I was facing. Thankfully, I came across this Firestone on Google and Chris took care of my ride. They had a $10 online discount advertised on Google/Yelp for an oil change, but I had a problem pulling it up at the desk. The guy there said not to worry and rang it up anyway. In the back, Chris was able to diagnose what the problem was. True, the fix was going to be a lot more than they could manage on a Sunday morning, but he got me informed and back on the road, and when I got home my usual car guy confirmed what Chris told me at the time. These guys are squared away. They treated me and my family well and they even let me go in the back to talk cars with the guys. I am very grateful for their help.

She walked in fully prepared, with the dipstick and the exact part number in hand. Max, the counter salesperson, told her he "didn't feel like helping her" and sent her away without even attempting to look it up. When I called to follow up, Max challenged me to "call corporate" and insisted he doesn't take parts off cars. I explained again that the dipstick was literally in her hand with the correct part number, and he still dismissed it, laughed, and repeated that I should call corporate. When he said he doesn't take parts off cars, I asked about batteries, and he added that they only help with the parts they feel like doing. If a salesperson can't value their customers--regardless of age or gender--then they don't deserve our business. I won't spend another dime here. Advance Auto and other stores consistently go out of their way to help, while this location has an employee who jokes around and refuses to assist a young girl simply because he "doesn't feel like it." While they were being retrieved, I prepared cash for a quick transaction. The spark plugs were quickly retrieved, which was nice. The salesperson asked if it was my first visit to their store. I said, "no", it's my first visit. The salesperson brought up a customer information page on his display (which I could see). The page was replete with many fields, to gather all of the information they could get from me on my first visit to the store. I asked "can we skip this?" The salesperson said "no", we need this information for warranty. For lawn mower spark plugs ? Not wanting to spend the time or give out my personal information for a cash transaction of lawn mower spark plugs, I walked out of the store, and drove to the auto parts store down the road.
