My friend and I took the allday trip and had a great time. Our guide Haley was awesome and told us some cool facts about the surronding area and about some of the other trips and rapids they do. Great beginners trip. I would recommend for any body doing the half day trip do the morning there was more rapids. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we did have to wait for about a hour for the bus to get there to pick up the first half dayers and drop off the second ones. Great trip otherwise and we plan on using them when we go back. read more

A group of 4 of us (over 55) took the Jeep/River Combination trip. An (airconditioned) Jeep tour of Canyonlands in the AM with Brad, and a river float in the afternoon with Charlie. We really enjoyed our day with both guides. Brad, a Moab native (and Volunteer Firefighter) was a wonderful driver and had good eyes for spotting wildlife. He was a great story teller too! We were on the road by 7:30 am. The Jeep was in excellent condition, with good suspension, comfortable seats and functional seat belts. Brad brought along plenty of water for us, in addition to granola bars and a little step- to help us short people get in and out of the vehicle. The Canyonlands were absolutely beautiful in the morning! We were back at the office at 11:30 am- where we were able to change into bathing suits, were fitted with a life jacket and loaded onto an old school bus for the ride to the river. Once we arrived at the river, we waited for Charlie and received a safety briefing. Charlie showed up in a raft that held his morning passengers. They departed and we took their place along with another family of 5. The raft was in good condition, and Charlie did all the work. We just hung on and enjoyed the scenery. About 15 or 20 minutes down the river we pulled onto a beach, where we were joined by another raft from Adrift Adventures. Charlie and the other guide set up lunch for us. Sandwich fixings, orange slices, macaroni and potato salads, corn chips and potato chips and cookies. Nothing fancy, but it was satisfying. The rest of the afternoon was spent leisurely floating and swimming down the river. We arrived back at the office at around 4 pm. This was a relaxing and beautiful day! read more

Great tour in canyonlands. Mark the guide was pleasant informative and very helpful. He allowed us to stop and and take pictures on the way. If we couldn't stop he slowed down and opened the window so we could get pictures. I would highly recommend. read more

My friends and I did the full day rafting trip! I was really nervous because I've never been, but Eli was great and kept everyone engaged with facts about the area and other suggestions for activities and places to visit in the area. They provided a lunch for us halfway through the rafting trip- it was simple but filling and satisfying! Would definitely go back if I'm there again! read more

Only qualm is he told us to go across the street to some "Action Shots" place where they would give us copies of pictures they took of our trip (which was a scam, as they were not free after all.. and the owner/manager of Action Shots was quite an ornery fellow). We did the 4 hour ATV tour and had the best time! We were a group of 4 and all had experience riding so our guide was willing to take us some special places. He was very good making sure that we got our full 4 hours from the time we got on the ATV until we got back to load them up. We felt is was definitely worth the money and can't stop talking about the great time we had!! read more

We booked a trip and even had a confirmation but showed up for the trip and they said they didn't have us booked and would not honor our reservation. They would not give a refund but did say we could come another day. It completely messed up our vacation plans. We finally were able to come back and do the trip but is was poorly organized. We spent just as much time standing around off the water as we did on the water and the lunch was not good at all. The river rafting was ok but we have went with other companies before and they did a much better job. Our recommendation, go with another company. read more

I went on the all day trip...the hummer trip in the am, then the river rafting trip after that. The hummer trip was Exhilarating! Mike was our guide, and he was awesome. I love adventure, and this trip was very adventurous, and scary at times...atleast Mike knew what he was doing. The trip took us on Hell's Revenge, which is a trail for very experienced dirt bikers and hummers. The trail takes you over these gigantic boulders and cliffs. At one point, the hummer was resting on 3 wheels...gently going down a large boulder. My side was only a few inches from the ground...I was afraid that the hummer was going to tip over on my side. The other side of the hummer was several feet off the ground! Thankfully, Mike was a pro! The pictures turned out awesome! The rafting portion of the trip was also really fun. It was a fairly calm ride down the Colorado River. The guides were also very good and knowledgeable. I was expecting to see the Fisher Towers though, since that was how it was advertised. The trip took us through the Fisher Tower section of the river, but we did not actually see them:( A deli style lunch was prepared on a beach site, which was tasty. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour company for your adventures in Moab! The hummer part was the best part of the whole trip...ask for Mike. You won't be disappointed! read more

We did the stand up paddle board tour in the afternoon. It was very fun. Our guide was very friendly and helped us when we needed it but otherwise gave us some space and let us experience stand up paddle boarding our own way. It was a very relaxing trip. For those people that are unhappy with white water rafting, I don't think Moab is known for crazy white water Rapids so you shouldnt rate a company based on the nature they don't control. read more

Six stars! We did the Westwater Canyon Day trip and I would highly recommend it. The scenery was unbelievable and the experience was unforgettable. At about the halfway point we stopped on a beach for an awesome lunch, not just a bunch of soggy sandwiches, we had a huge spread of lunch meat and salads along with chips and soda and even cake! What really made our trip though was our tour guide Charlie, what a great guide, when we weren't going through a rapid Charlie was very informative and obviously took the time to study the area, the wildlife, and the stories of the river. Charlie also made the ride to and from the river enjoyable (about 2.5hrs total) with his vast knowledge of the area. I would highly recommend this company, they obviously put a lot of thought into creating an unforgettable trip and employing top notch tour guides! read more

We took a half day rafting ride with Molly as our guide and the experience was excellent. A little bit of swimming/floating in the water, a few mild rapids, beautiful scenery, and an entertaining guide made for a good family day. Highly recommended, fun for everyone. read more

The biggest rip off my lifetime! I have traveled around the world and been on all kinds of trips but Adrift's "half day Colarado River/Fisher Towers boating trip" was the biggest rip off ever. Prior to the trip I asked them (a) how much time we would have on the water and (b) if the trip would cover the Fisher Towers section of the river. They assured me that I would get 3 hours on the water and that we would indeed go though the Fisher Towers section. This is what two other companies I checked with were offering. As a result, I got 6 of my friends and family to fork out up to $50+ each for this trip. Unfortunately our trip lasted for less than 1.5 hours on the water plus a 30-45mt lunch break on the land! Secondly, they completely skipped the Fisher Towers section of the river. When I try to address this with Mike, the manager (owner?) at Adrift he pointed out to a/an (escape) clause in their brochure that stated that trip times could vary depending on the water level. Remember, not only did they promise me 3 hours of water time a couple of days prior but even on the day of the trip prior to departure, they didn't warn us of the "water level" possibly cutting the trip time by half. Of course, there was also no warning of their plan to skip the most interesting part of the trip (Fisher Towers) before we started it. Mike kept defending all the issues I was raising with him and didn't seems to care. Of course, he didn't gives us a break on the ~$350 he charged us either. Their boats (unlike the others) didn't even give us oars to row. Warning: Stay away from Adrift! Their boat trip is a complete waste of money. read more

Our guide, Chip, was informative and knowledgeable during the jeep tour of both parks. He was very attentive making sure we drank plenty of water, placing a step for me to use to get In and out of the jeep and carried everything we needed. We signed up for the half-day afternoon float trip, which included cold cut/sandwich lunch on a sandy beach. Our guide, Heather, was as enthusiastic (and strong) as they come. We knew going into it that this was a leisurely trip, not a thrill ride. The company does offer trips on class 3-4 white water, but this was not supposed to be like that. We had a great afternoon floating down the Colorado River. Our guide always encouraged people to cool off in the river whenever it was safe to do so. We had a great trip - thanks! read more

Looking at the other reviews, I agree. The time on the river is short. I'd take a full-day trip next time. I'd also like a trip where you can row yourself. That said, we had a 7 year old who's pretty small, and that didn't freak them out and she couldn't have handled a whole day anyway. If you do a half day, just relax and enjoy what it is. If you want a more intense or longer adventure, better find some other company, or, put more correctly, another stretch of the river. They can't make the river be different--if it's low, the rapids are out, but if there's high water, as has been the case May up until mid-July, the river is just a lazy river and it is what it is. read more

Took a troop of Girl Scouts on the 2 day Colorado River/Fisher Towers trip. The girls had a blast. I would definitely call this a "float trip" as described - not too many rapids, lots of time to play in the water, but great for a group who had never done this sort of thing before. The guides were wonderful - made the entire trip memorable for all of the girls. The description said that the trip could possibly make us river junkies - I would say this is true - the girls would like to go again, but next time they want something a little more exciting. read more

I have done both Moab adventure and Adrift adventures and Moab Adventures was a little bit better, you get BBQ. I would also recommend the full day 100%, you miss a lot on the 1/2 day. However, Thorn is an amazing guide and made our trip so fun! He deserves a raise!! read more

Went on the two and a half day cataract canyon trip from Moab to Lake Powell. Awesome trip. The guides were excellent, personable, knowledgeable and worked their tales off for us. They knew the river like the back of their hand and were always acutely aware of and looking out for our safety and enjoyment. Terrific experience. Would highly recommend it to anyone. We did the full day Westwater Canyon trip and i found it really boring. We had a two hour bus drive to get there and a 1.5 hour drive back so 3.5 hours is in the bus. Then we had a lot of boring flat water, where the guide is "oaring" and you sit in the boat. Then you have a very nice lunch, get back in the boat, and then 1/2 hour of fun rapids, and then another couple of hours of motoring back to the dock. Which was very boring. The scenery was very beautiful, the guides are safe and nice (although ours didn't even ask our names), but overall I prefer activities that require more action and less sitting around. Also, it was freezing in the morning. For four of us, we paid around $600 and I really felt like it wasn't worth the money. read more

Made a reservation in March for 4x4 trip May 15th.When we arrived we were told it was cancelled .Told us that they sent me an E mail and voice mail wich i never recieved.Thier guides might be alright but front office needs some training.Would reccomend that you double and triple check with them as the right hand does not know what the left is doing read more

My family has used adrift many times over the past 10 years. There is a rafting trip for all levels and all ages. The guides we have had have been great! They know there stuff..and were great with the kids. In fact from the office to the bus to the trip they were are great and so willing to answer any question. If your looking for a easy fun family trip Fisher towers is for you but if you want more rapid strep Westwater Canyon order Cataract Canyon trips both great my family likes the westewater trip a all day white water trip its something we do when in Moab. Plus the lunches are filling and perfect for the river read more

We are from Hawaii and brought our kids over to the Moab after our sons baseball tournament in Las Vegas. We wanted to try whitewater rafting and we are glad we had our 1st experience with Adrift Adventures. We called canyonlands by night and day and booked our half day afternoon trip and were told to come here to check in, had I known this I would've called Adrift directly. The people were very nice and got us on our way quickly. I was very worried about what to do with our stuff along with things getting wet and water. But basically you p ut all of your valuables in your car and leave the keys with the owner at home base. They have some bins you can put your items in but we brought a small backpack for our waters, chapstick and sunscreen and waterproof camera that worked great. We got loaded on a shuttle bus that took us on a 25 minute drive to the put in spot. Use the bathroom before you go, they are so gross I almost puked. We arrived at the put in and was greeted by our guides Joy and Kristine, both very nice and warm. We were very lucky and only had our family of 4 and another couple so the boat was very comfortable and not crowded at all. We started our adventure and loved the scenery, water fun and chit chat with the other guests and our guides. It was a beautiful day and the water was rushing. We stopped in an "Eddie" mellow area, and had a really simple but awesome lunch consisting of make of your own sandwiches, macaroni salad, chips, choco chip cookies, water and lemonade. After lunch we finished down the river and caught our shuttle back. Overall it was not as exciting as we had imagined but it was a super great introduction to whitewater rafting and I think we learned a lot and are now prepared for more future trips. Our family did the full day Westwater Canyon experience. We were told the rapids are class III-IV. Uh...not so much. More like II, maybe III but that's pushing it. It was more like a really expensive float trip. I hated to rate this place so low because the guides were really awesome (props to Adam and Sam) who really did try to make this experience great. They can't help the water and certainly not the horrible van ride to and fro. The owner of this company should be ashamed at such a crappy vehicle with no A/C, no suspension. The reason this is such a big deal is because you are in THAT vehicle for 3 hrs (1.5hr each way approx.) I felt like that was a roller coaster ride in itself because the roads getting there and back are not paved and in terrible shape. We saw other rafting companys with nice vans-- The owner just is cheap or doesn't care but either way, I'd never spend $700+ for my family to raft with this place again. Good luck, Adam and Sam.
