Recently went on a 6 day 5 night rafting trip with adrift adventures. To desolation canyon. Must say didn't know what to expect but it turned out to be a great trip and a great adventure. Myke the owner was very helpful and answered all our questions and was very accommodating to all our needs. He set us up with two awsome guides kelly and Isaac. Both were extremely knowledgeable about the river and the places to stop, hike and see petroglyphs. They were also great in taking care of our needs and taking care of us. You don't actually get a paddle. You just sit on uneven edge of the boat and the poor dude, aka river guide, paddles for everyone. Everyone just kinda watch the scenery, which would be nice, but not quite a thrilling adventure. And the actual time on the river was maybe two hours. It is quite a drive to and from there. What makes the whole experience awesome are the nicest ppl working there. 5 stars for everyone. Our river guide Ryan was a chatterbox who tries super hard to entertain us. And he actually did make this an adventure. Very windy but this eagle scout got us to where we need to be. It would honestly have been less stars if not for this kid. There were 9 of us, not including the river guide. Ppl were mostly cool. River guide can't quite remember of the young dude in sunglasses because he's got the energy and attitude of a chair. Look alive dude, you're amongst nature. Anyways, if you're looking for a thrill - look elsewhere. But the ppl working here are top to bottom the nicest ppl. I tipped that kid $20 because he tried so hard. read more

Decided to take my 9 year old niece on a rafting trip for the first time and SO GLAD WE DID! WE HAD A GREAT TIME,. the staff was young but very knowledgeable and safety cautious. All the staff was friendly and amazing even the bus driver we had i think her name was Lisa. Liz was our guide and I could not have been more happy with her as our guide,so friendly and sweet. We took two separate trips with this outfitter and both were very good. We took the half day jeep trip through Canyonlands on the Shafer Trail. Our guide Bill was excellent. He was engaging and informative. We saw petroglyphs, dinosaur bones, and of course amazing views. The next morning, we took the 1/2 day rafting trip. The rapids were not very big but we have two young kids, so it was perfect. It provided enough thrills for them without being scary. Rizzy, our guide, had the laid back attitude one would expect and was very nice and informative as well. There are many outdoor adventure outfitters in Moab to choose from, definitely consider Adrift. read more

I had a great trip on Westwater Canyon. My guide Austin navigated our boat through the big rapids with expert precision, all while being very informative on the geology and wildlife, and very Entertaining. The morning half-day trip was much shorter than we thought -- between loading up, driving to the put-in spot, getting the boats in the water, rafting, waiting for the bus to pick us up, and driving back to town, we were only on the river for like an hour and a half or two hours. That said, our time on the water was fun. We had three couples in our boat, and we all enjoyed chatting with one another and with our guide. Josh was knowledgeable about the river and surrounding countryside and got us through the rapids without any problems. The rapids we hit weren't exactly thrillers, but they were fun. (We called the biggest one "a good little bounce.") I would have enjoyed more rapids that were bigger. read more

River guide Mike, thanks for a great tour! My girlfriend and I took the half-day river rafting tour in the afternoon. She's a bit scared of drowning, so we were hoping for something not TOO dangerous. Turns out even at reasonably high water levels these rivers are SUPER tame. There are some dangerous parts that are actually a bit too dangerous to go in, and the other parts are very tame. The tour had more the atmosphere of a really fun nature hike where you get a tiny bit wet. I learned a TON of cool facts, and felt like our guide got 110% of the coolness out from that river for our enjoyment. As a note, we also had a few young kids in our group who were very entertained in spite of the lack of perilous rapids. read more

Cataract Canyon 2-day paddle boat with 4 people and a guide. Mark was our guide, and he was awesome! Definitely one of my favorite trips ever! Mark was very knowledgeable about the river and had great stories +15 years experience. He also cooked our meals and accommodated food allergies and preferences EXCEPTIONALLY well. The river levels were low, but the trip was still spectacular because of the experience provided. There is a little bit of everything (rapids, relaxation, swimming, limited hiking) for everyone on the trip. I can't wait to go back when the water levels are higher!! read more

WARNING! I strongly discourage booking with them. We booked a tour 3 weeks in advance. They cancelled our Morning Glory hike and rappelling the night before we were supposed to leave for an early morning departure. They cancelled via email. This left us NO time to find another outfitter. We tried but everyone was, of course, booked for the entire time we were in Moab. The reason for the cancellation? "We don't have enough guides." Adrift shouldn't be booking tours well in advance if they aren't certain if a guide is available. Common sense. Please consider Moab Adventure Center instead. We did Fiery Furnace with them and it was fantastic- great communication, respectful guides, nice facility and transpo, reliable, small groups. I give Moab Adventure Center 5 stars. read more

Our group of 9 - 4 adults and 5 teens - enjoyed the all day rafting adventure with Jazz as our guide. Jazz was a fantastic guide, very skilled in her rafting techniques and knowledgeable about the area. Jazz was able to adjust our experience to meet our desired adventure level. Our tour included lunch which we all agreed was well executed, especially in the current COVID-19 environment. Really well-run trip down the CO River, guides were wonderful. Only thing we didn't know til we got to the river was we wouldn't be paddling, that a guide would do all of the rowing. This company is amazing. We did a full day Jeep tour with Mark, and we could not have been happier! He was so knowledgeable about everything! He was more than willing to teach us about the parks we were visiting (Arches and Canyonlands), but he was also happy to teach us simple lessons about traversing the area safely on foot as well as proper hydration and nutrition. He was accommodating, honest, and friendly. He made everyone on the trip excited about the parks and Moab as a whole. We have done a lot of trips like this, but the trip with Mark was exponentially better than any we have been on before. The rafting expeditions on the Colorado are also amazing. I forget the guide's name for our group of eight, but all of the guides my family had (2 river guides and 2 Jeep guides) were amazing. The river guides were quick, fun, and in control of their rafts. The half-day, afternoon raft trip was everything we expected. The afternoon trip includes lunch, which is not gourmet, but for a picnic on a small beach on the bank of the Colorado, it was delicious. Brian was our guide and he was very informative about the history and the sight we were seeing on either side of the river. These guys and gals are incredibly rad! Super well organized and they have great sense of humor. We were a party of 25 geo students and they accommodated us all. We did the 7 mile trip and fed us by the riverbank halfway through the trip. The rowers have great personalities and were super helpful, also full of cool fun facts about the area. In July 2018, my aunt and I took the 4-day Cataract Canyon trip on the Colorado River from the Potash put in to the low water take out on Lake Powell near Hite, UT. We were in 3 rafts with 3 experienced boatmen - Cam, Rizzi, and Zach. They were excellent boatmen and knowledgeable about the geology, wildlife, and history of the area. The food was absolutely excellent with steaks on the third night. The monsoon season gave rain and wind that made the experience trying at times, but that is all part of the trip. The Cataract Canyon rapids (especially the Big Drops) were amazing. Such a great experience traveling the river through Canyonlands to Lake Powell. HIGHLY recommended. read more

Spent a fantastic day on a 4x4 Jeep tour with Bill Forte. Saw areas of Arches and Canyonlands that we wouldn't have been able to see on our own. Bill was an excellent tour guide - friendly, kind, polite, and informative. We learned a ton about the history of the National Parks and the topography of the area. Bill's soothing voice takes the terror out of driving up the steepest, narrowest road I have ever been on in my life. This tour was a highlight of our Moab trip! read more

Did an afternoon rafting trip with the extended family. We knew it was early in the season and there would be few rapids that were barely rapids but we had seniors and little kids so it worked out well. Owner Mike was great, had to cancel first day due to rain and he called to see if anyone else could take us. We eventually reworked our plans and came back later in the week. Boat was a bit odd (oars instead of paddles for everyone) but I think that was because of our unusual age range of our group. Staff was really nice, we'd certainly book with them again. read more

My friend and I took a half day Jeep tour of the Canyonlands National park with Eli and it was great. Eli was a very safe driver, as well as knowledgeable about the beautiful features we were seeing. We had a wonderful tour, coming into the park through a little used 4 wheel drive track and working our way up to the main entrance. I really appreciate how he went out of his way to show us some really cool petroglyphs because he knew we had a keen interesting them. I have been to this place with a group of internationals last week. The owner was behaving like a racist. He was very very mean.. And just because we paid for it.. We were forced to keep calm about the way he treated us. Also I would not call it a rafting. They don't want their raft to get damaged so they always take you in calm water and not rapids.. One of the worst ever vacation I ever had just because I went to this place.... I would never advice anyone to visit this place.. read more

On a scale of Adrift Adventures to 10, with 10 being the best....well, you catch my drift. My friend and I signed up for what we were told would be a half day "whitewater rafting" trip. We instead ended up taking a leisurely stroll down a lazy river. Our guide got stuck in an eddy for about 15 - 20 minutes and had to request the assistance of a fellow passenger to get out. If you have kids and don't want ANY risk of dangerous rapids, the half-day trips are for you. If your looking for a true adventure then I would suggest looking elsewhere. Except for our awesome guides, Sam & McGee, this trip wouldn't even be worth one star. We were cramped in a motored raft (not ANY oars) with all the supplies. Our 4-day trip was MAYBE one hour of rapids and three days of "meandering" at 7 mph for six hours a day. We were only on the water for 3 hours on day 4, but by then we were so bored with the trip that it was okay. We were told that there were around 30 rapids, but they weren't even waves; maybe Class I. There were perhaps 4 "real" rapids, total, and for these we had to sit packed in front and next to each each other like a can of sardines. No stops on two of the days for hiking or even bathroom breaks until we asked for one. I sure wish we had checked the reviews before we booked this trip. What a waste of $6,858 for our group. read more

You know that the "whitewater" rafting trip will be far sub-par when the rafting guide says five minutes in, "This will be our first and last rapid." We also were not given any paddles. Instead, the poor guide has to paddle down the entire river himself. The river experience deserves a one star; however, our guides were fantastic making the dull trip entertaining. Therefore, our trip on the Colorado river deserves two stars read more
