When we walked in, one employee was on the floor and offered us a sample. I declined as I did not want the particular one she offered. Usually when the sample is declined, they ask if there they can provide a different one. She did not offer an alternative. Not a big deal as I didn't go there for the free sample. It was just different from other locations. I proceeded to the counter and stated to the other employee what I was wanting to purchase. She was curt and cold, no hello, no smile. Once again, surprising as See's Candies' employees are usually so nice and welcoming. While making a selection for my SECOND box of chocolates, I asked for a specific sample. She gave it to me, but she hesitated a minute as if this was not allowed or just didn't want to give me one. I don't know if she thought that I already had a sample, and it was supposed to be only one per person, but it just seemed like she did not want to provide it. Mind you, I ended up spending about $90 there. AND when I walked in, the employees were asking another customer if he wanted to try any more. Any more? So I can't get one but this guy gets multiple?
