My family and I stopped at J's to get some dessert after a school fundraiser and it was delicious. My husband and son got the Oreo Cyclopes and I got a medium size vanilla cone with sprinkles per my daughter's request. I am giving this ice cream parlor four stars because the inside seating wasn't accessible, only outside seating. It was very cold and windy to where we decided to get back in our car to finish our ice cream then leave. So not ideal when you come with two small children towards the evening/night. But overall I would like to come back in the summer, I know we would enjoy the outdoor seating. read more

The Italian Ice Cream here is amazing! I got Mango and Blue Raspberry with soft serve on top and vanilla on the bottom. Really quick service that only took about 3 minutes. As for the ambiance J's has outdoor seating and tons of parking where you can eat your ice cream in comfort. I'll definitely be back for more to fight the heat read more

I have been coming to J's for quite sometime now, whether it be with my son's or the wife, it has been an enjoyable place to go to get a classic cone, sundae, or more niche items like the Italian ice cream and cylcones (blizzard dupe). Unsure of the woman's name, but she is always friendly and gives great service! Sitting outside and watching the nightlife during summer and spring reminds you of the days of Foster's Freeze. I paid 7.90 with a small debit fee and was able to share this Rocky Road cyclone jr with my wife, crunchy and tasted AMAZING!!! I'm thinking of starting a Gofundme for this place. In need of a major facelift, like BADLY! The quality of what is offered here and service is definitely unmatched to how this place looks. Don't judge a book by its cover is the perfect example J's ice cream parlor exudes. I pass by during the summer months and there always seems to be a crowd enjoying their sweet treats. Tonight, I tried the mudslide cyclone and I kid you not, there must've been an entire pack of Oreos in my cup! Lol! I got full halfway and there seems to only be 2 size offerings: medium & large. There's no dine in options here, don't be fooled. The door remains locked and you order from the window outside. Looking into the parlor, you can see tons of boxes their supplies come in. It's just untidy and really could be organized better. So for ambiance, they get zero stars. I have yet to try the Italian ice but will do so on my next trip here. read more

Perfect spot to go when you have a sweet tooth! Ideal for those late night cravings. You know the place is good when cups they use are different all the time lol this time I got my ice cream cyclones served in coffee cups! Still delicious! Ok, let's start: The cyclones are very good! It's vanilla soft serve with whatever toppings you want mixed in! -- just like a McFlurry but 100x better! They are very generous on the Oreos and reeses chocolate. I am the biggest sweet tooth and these are too sweet! Very delicious though! I think a size small as pictured in my review is the ideal size. Last time I ordered a medium reeses cyclone and it was a little overwhelming; surprisingly I did not finish it lol. The banana split is less sweet and a good option! It's all vanilla soft serve ice cream. No other flavors but that's okay! The vanilla soft serve is creamy and perfectly sweet -- but not overly sweet. They also add whipped cream, nuts, a banana, pineapple, strawberry, and chocolate toppings which are very good too. The Italian ice is very good! It reminds me of a bomb pop that is topped with creamy soft serve. Very delicious! Service is always fast and they always tend to be busy! The seating is limited outside. No indoor seating. This place needs a major renovation! However; this does not affect the quality of the products sold. I think they would get more clientele with indoor seating, a cosmetic upgrade would drive more customers in. If they sold burgers and fries, etc. this would be a hit! Kind of like those old school joints such as "frosties freeze" chains found in small towns in the Central Valley -- (209 area here in California). If you know, you know! I came here a little while ago, and it wasn't too bad. I got the J's latti, and it was refreshing, and worth visiting if you're in the area. While the flavors were tasty and the soft serve was delicious, the actual Italian Ice was too icy, almost like it had been sitting in the freezer for too long. Even though I came on a weeknight, there was a bit of a line and wait. While the price was actually very low, there is also an additional cost if you pay with card, which I didn't see any signs for. Overall, I think it was decent if you're in the area, but not really worth driving a far distance for. read more

Came back for the cyclones or whatever they're called. I got Rocky road and coffee one. 2/5 stars. The rocky roads are susually made with almonds and they use peanuts, the marshmallows were stale and for chocolate they used chocolate rocked. Not good, I wouldn't get it again. I got a medium and it was huge $7.50. If I tried another I'd get a small, it's a perfect size. The coffee one wasn't great either, I think they add cappuccino powder and mix it with vanilla ice cream to that that "coffee" flavor, but didn't taste like coffee, more like cappuccino and I wasn't a fan. read more

Super small parking lot. Paid $7 and some change. Tons of Oreo cookies and toffee pieces in my Mudslide Cyclone. Cashier was super quick. The reason why this is getting three stars is because of how outdated and unpleasant look. I wish this place the best because they really have quality desserts. It really needs a remodel. J's portions are incredibly generous, especially considering the amazing quality of their ice cream. J's cyclones have all the toppings perfectly mixed in for maximum flavor distribution in every bite. We stopped by right as they opened at 1pm and Alfonso apologized as some flavors might not have set enough to be served since he came in a bit late today. Taro -so creamy, perfectly flavored and not overly artificial. Horchata -not too much cinnamon. Surprisingly good for it being water based, just enough creaminess from the condensed milk in it. Strawberry Jamaica -if you love strawberries, this flavor is it. Paired perfectly with chamoy and tajin. Mango -so refreshing, I added condensed milk on my own and chef's kiss. Wished they offered condensed milk here! Watermelon -liked this more than the Mango, but both are good. Chamoy and Tajin paired well! Mamey -creamy but the prefect amount of fruitiness. Also sooo good. Coffee -if you love Vietnamese coffee, this one is for you. It was so strong in a good way. We topped it with condensed milk at home and it was chef's kiss. Crack in a cup.. If you don't like strong coffee, stray away. Pistachio -tons of crushed pistachio throughout. Guanabana (soursop)- favorite flavor from water based we tried. It tastes just like the real fruit. Lime -just enough tanginess. My colleague ordered this and opted for no chamoy, personally felt like it was missing something but still good on its own. We topped it with condensed milk and also chef's kiss. Vanilla -sooo creamy and good, there is depth that I can't explain. Coconut- creamy coconut milk, not artificial flavor taste.
