My child likes this place. And I like supporting small businesses. I typically order from the window outside but there is an inside seating area as well as a couple tables outside. Thank you for serving Italian ice for us non dairy eating humans.

Terrible. This is the middle option for soft serve cone. Such a small serving. What a rip off.

I have been coming to J's for quite sometime now, whether it be with my son's or the wife, it has been an enjoyable place to go to get a classic cone, sundae, or more niche items like the Italian ice cream and cylcones (blizzard dupe). Unsure of the woman's name, but she is always friendly and gives great service! Sitting outside and watching the nightlife during summer and spring reminds you of the days of Foster's Freeze. I paid 7.90 with a small debit fee and was able to share this Rocky Road cyclone jr with my wife, crunchy and tasted AMAZING!!! Will continue to support this place for years to come, deserves every bit of my business.

Ice cream is amazing! Service is amazing! Just be patient, it's just one person working the parlor. She's super nice! Drive up, park, order, and you're out! Perfect for a hot day!

Perfect place to visit after dinner. They have tons of options like ice cream, shaved ice, cyclones, and more. I love cake cones so I just ordered a simple chocolate ice cream with a cake cone and it hit the spot. My friends ordered cyclones mixed with different cookies and candies which they also enjoyed. Everything was well-priced and the service was great. Cool place!

I threw my smores cyclone as soon as I got it. It was runny and it was just marshmallows topped off with crushed up graham crackers (not worth the $) also my sister got a soft serve and it was already running down her hand. These pics are my friends. Their cyclones were all melted

I'm thinking of starting a Gofundme for this place. In need of a major facelift, like BADLY! The quality of what is offered here and service is definitely unmatched to how this place looks. Don't judge a book by its cover is the perfect example J's ice cream parlor exudes. I pass by during the summer months and there always seems to be a crowd enjoying their sweet treats. Tonight, I tried the mudslide cyclone and I kid you not, there must've been an entire pack of Oreos in my cup! Lol! I got full halfway and there seems to only be 2 size offerings: medium & large. There's no dine in options here, don't be fooled. The door remains locked and you order from the window outside. Looking into the parlor, you can see tons of boxes their supplies come in. It's just untidy and really could be organized better. So for ambiance, they get zero stars. I have yet to try the Italian ice but will do so on my next trip here.

Perfect spot to go when you have a sweet tooth! Ideal for those late night cravings. You know the place is good when cups they use are different all the time lol this time I got my ice cream cyclones served in coffee cups! Still delicious! Ok, let's start: The cyclones are very good! It's vanilla soft serve with whatever toppings you want mixed in! -- just like a McFlurry but 100x better! They are very generous on the Oreos and reeses chocolate. I am the biggest sweet tooth and these are too sweet! Very delicious though! I think a size small as pictured in my review is the ideal size. Last time I ordered a medium reeses cyclone and it was a little overwhelming; surprisingly I did not finish it lol. The banana split is less sweet and a good option! It's all vanilla soft serve ice cream. No other flavors but that's okay! The vanilla soft serve is creamy and perfectly sweet -- but not overly sweet. They also add whipped cream, nuts, a banana, pineapple, strawberry, and chocolate toppings which are very good too. The Italian ice is very good! It reminds me of a bomb pop that is topped with creamy soft serve. Very delicious! Service is always fast and they always tend to be busy! The seating is limited outside. No indoor seating. This place needs a major renovation! However; this does not affect the quality of the products sold. I think they would get more clientele with indoor seating, a cosmetic upgrade would drive more customers in. If they sold burgers and fries, etc. this would be a hit! Kind of like those old school joints such as "frosties freeze" chains found in small towns in the Central Valley -- (209 area here in California). If you know, you know! Anyway 10/10 all the time.

I had this spot on my bookmarks for years, so I am glad to finally be able to stop by here. The process was a bit confusing when I first walked in, as there were no employees at the front counter - 2 of them were busy in the back cooking, eating, and talking and the other one was focused on making more boba and the trash, I guess. I did a walkthrough to look at everything, then I came back to the front counter and noticed the signages on the side wall about purchasing a cup first, then adding toppings and filling up your drink, then coming back to the front counter to get your drink sealed by an employee. I waited in line patiently, as the employees were all in the back doing various things, and the guy who was bringing out the boba and changing the trash finally came out. I noted that he was wearing the same gloves he did while taking out the trash and started to ring customers in front of me up and help seal finished boba cups wearing those same dirty gloves. I was disgusted, but since I drove a long way for this spot, I decided to stay, as he is only touching the outside of the cup anyway, and I will just wipe it down later. Anyway, I bought a cup and filled it with some ice, my favorite milk tea - jasmine milk tea, and boba. I do wished that they had a couple other toppings I liked though. I was ready to have my drink sealed and waited patiently for the employee to seal it. Overall, it was a good concept they have going on and it is one of those one time experiences at least for me, but they have to work on their cleanliness because there were 2 employees in the back cooking food for customers while eating themselves while cooking in front of it and the other employee wearing the same gloves doing everything, even when changing / touching the trash.

Unfortunately we wont't be back because of the terrible service and unsanitary and hazardous conditions the owners keep this restaurant in. Such a disappointment. It was disgustingly humid, hot, sticky and stuffy. Felt like I was at a swamp. When I made a comment they just brushed it off and ignored it. How cheap are the owners to NOT turn on the AC when it's hitting 90s outside. Everything was sticky, the menu, the tables. The cushions on the seats were visibly dirty too. Right when you walk in the whole establishment smelled like shit. Literally like sewage, which smelled like stinky tofu. IYKYK. Restroom wasn't clean either, go figure. Another HUGE health violation occurred as well. There was a dog at another table sitting on the seat as if they're a paying customer. Clearly not a service dog. I absolutely love dogs but not at establishments that serve food that is sitting at the table. Especially if they're not working dogs, clearly this one was not a working dog. I would prefer not to have dog fur in my food. FYI this location violated health code regulations: "Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service dogs are allowed in restaurants, but they must remain on the floor, not on seats or tables. Health codes prohibit animals on furniture to prevent contamination." This whole environment of the restaurant and its unsanitary health violations makes me question how clean this restaurant is. Because if it's stuffy and terrible ventilation along with no air conditioning in the dining area how bad is it in the kitchen??? Food made with some sweat. Yum.

My friend replied "no not yet," and the worker proceeded to say the tables were for customers only and walk away before they could say anything else. They were approached a SECOND time by another staff member only 10 minutes after the first, who asked the SAME thing. This time my friend was able to respond that they were actually waiting for me to arrive. The first worker then STARED at them for the next 30 minutes, making them insanely uncomfortable until I arrived. My friend was one of the only brown skin people in the cafe...horrifically rude. What a horrible way to treat a person, let alone a regular customer. And what a waste of time, staring at a customer instead of doing your job...We both had interacted with this employee and ordered with them several times in the past, so it's crazy they couldn't remember any of it.
