Hired to replace a water heater, and update the installation to meet building codes. The toughest update was to install a drain pan and drain line. Christian advised that the difficulty of this retrofit was unknown, and that it would be cheapest if I did some preparation work. I prepared the site by cutting open a wall for the drain line, then e-mailed pictures of the entire area to Christian. He thought that there would be no problems. I then built a wood platform to elevate the water heater so that the drain line would work, and scheduled for Christian to replace the water heater. Christian drilled holes through the wall studs, the exterior wall, and the wall of the water heater closet. He then shaped a PVC pipe to fit through the openings. After installation, he tested the drain line for leaks. I assisted Christian a couple times during the installation. Christian's work took the morning and a bit of the afternoon. He cleaned up the majority of the mess afterward. The water heater installation was very successful. Beforehand, Christian answered his phone almost every time I called, and readily answered my many questions. Though his accent can be hard to understand sometimes, we managed to communicate well enough by phone and by e-mail. Christian arrived very early in the morning. There was some initial confusion with the size of the water heater compared to the closet size, and he had to exchange it for a smaller water heater. After that, there were no issues. Although I was worried about the drain line retrofit, Christian put a lot of effort into doing it well, and we were both happy with the result. The drain line output looks as if it could be an original installation. The water heater works perfectly, and it also appears that all of his building code updates have been done well. read more

Came home from ski vacation to water running across my driveway and thought I had a problem with my sprinkler system. Turned out it was a break in the main water line in the front yard. In panic mode I called several plumbers with great reviews here and on other sites only to find out that most plumbers are 'booked' and waiting a bit is the norm. It was Monday and Christian from Adept Plumbing was able to come out Wednesday so I booked the appointment. Christian calmed my nerves by walking me through what to do in the mean-time over the phone. On Wednesday, Christian called ahead to say he was running about 15 minutes late. When he showed up, he went straight to work and immediately found the leak as if he could smell it under the ground (he only had to dig one hole). Christian provided me with multiple options and price points for digging around or removing plants, trees and shrubs and let me choose what I felt most comfortable with. In the end I had him pull out the bushes that where growing over the water line (the roots were the problem anyway). He repaired the pipe and told me to keep my eye on it and let him know if there were any leaks. While he was here he noticed that faucet outside was leaking so he replaced it as well. Unfortunately, the repair did not take and I had to call Christian back. He returned within less than three hours of my notifying him and he replaced the entire section of pipe again and of course, no charge for the return trip or the additional work. Christian's prices seemed fair and he stands behind his work. I'll definitely call him again when I need a plumber. read more

Christian was referred to me by our friends and I have had to call him out several times for various jobs around our home. He returns your call promptly and will work you into his schedule and come to your rescue. He replaced a toilet for us, replaced the wax ring on another leaking toilet, and today, we needed help on getting our hot water heater back up and running. He had to replace a "mercury bulb" in our gas hot water heater and had the part with him when he arrived. Then I had him look at our leaky faucets and he took the time to show me how to take them apart, check for the problem and resolve the issue. Rather than him spending his hourly rate to go get parts to repair, he guided me and suggested I check w/the manufactuer and get them to send me the parts. He is HONEST and very, very KNOWLEDGEABLE in the Plumbing Trade! I applaud him and his work! read more

Bathroom washbowl was maddeningly slow and finally the plug in the drain broke. The plunger no longer worked and was stuck in closed position with washbowl full of water. With the holidays beginning, I called several plumbers and found very few that could come within a week's time and all with added service charge and high hourly rates. Then I contacted Christian, who called me back immediately and quoted his hourly rate, which with no added service charge was the lowest estimate. He came on the first work day, replaced the broken part, cleared drains on two washbowls, checked small leaks on our toilets, fixed one and gave directions for finding a part to fix the other - all within the quote for his one-hour of service. I was amazed to find a plumber so professional, quick, and affordable within my area. Now I am about to call him for a larger project. read more

Great local plumber. He has come by several times to fix our problems. He came by a few months ago and he fixed the problems left by a hasty contractor who had not finished their job after a remodeling. Christian pointed out where the errors had been made, and fixed them promptly. He came by again a few days ago when a leak started up in a pipe connected to the toilet. He fixed it fast and was on his way. Thinking back, I remember that he also fixed an outside faucet in short order that had been bugging me for years with a slow drip, and had to dig into the wall to get out the valve and replace it. He did a perfect job of repairing it. He is a very personable guy, very polite, and of course he knows what he is doing. He also answered all my questions. I will call on him again if I have a plumbing problem. A 5 Star rating for Christian of Adept Plumbing. read more

I have used Christian exclusively for about three years. He has helped me with both commercial and residential plumbing issues. I first met him while trying to diagnose a really strange drain flooding problem in our offices. It took a few trips and a lot of thinking on this part to try and isolate the source of the problem within our buildings overall plumbing system. To his credit, he was able to isolate the problem and the building's owner ultimately corrected what was a design issue. He was also able to accurately diagnose another really perplexing problem having to do with diminishing water flow rates in my home. Needless to say, he will always be my "go to guy" for plumbing issues. It's kind of like having an engineer who is very good at what he does at your disposal. His diagnostic capabilities are rather amazing. read more

The spigot on my bathtub was mangled due to my husband attempting to "do it yourself." Christian looked at it and asked me, "Do you want to go through the sheetrock or the tile." I was fully expecting this. "Sheetrock." I said. Then Christian got real quiet and just look at the problem for awhile. He knocked out a few little pieces at the pipe site and said "I think I can do this without knocking out the wall." And he soldered the pipe back together through the small hole where the pipe went through the wall. I was so impressed. It's over a year later and it works great. He changed my garbage disposal, too. He did it all so quickly and efficiently. And he was very reasonable. I would never go to anyone else. And the whole time he whistled old tunes. Nice guy. read more

I used Christian once during a remodel of my kitchen and was very pleased with his service. He is very professional, and seems to really know what he is doing (I says "seems" because I don't know plumbing). I just called him about a really small job with my kitchen sink (different house) and he walked me through the issue on the phone, giving my guidance to fix it on my own (I think). Hopefully, I won't need to call him to come out to the house, but if I do need professional help, he is definitely the one I would call. read more

I was having trouble getting a plumber that was recommended to me to return my calls, so I did a little research and found Adept Plumbing. Boy am I glad I did. Not only did Christian the owner return my call, but he actually came to my house the same day and fixed my leaky tub and faucet! He has all his supplies with him and he was fast and friendly, and even gave me pointers on how to preserve the life of the repair he did. As if this wasn't enough, the price was fair and I'm happy to say I found a new plumber! read more

I was very happy with the service I got from Christian. First of all he showed up on time!!!!! There was no "sometime between 9am and 3pm crap." He also was very quick, fixing the kitchen sink and and checking two bathrooms in about a half an hour. I never felt like he was trying to get me to spend more money; he explained what was needed and even told me another option was unnecessary. He even explained what to do to avoid needing a plumber any time soon. Honest, professional, courteous and a funny accent! read more

Christian at Adept Plumbing has been our plumber for many years and is wonderful. He is practical, prompt, and reasonably priced, especially considering the exceptional work that he does. I also feel so comfortable with him that I have recommended him to my elderly mother. Yesterday she had a plumbing emergency and he responded to her immediately and was at her front door within 20 minutes of her call. He was so kind to her and fixed her problem! I would not even consider using any other plumbers! read more

Christian returned my call promptly this morning after we discovered low hot water pressure throughout the house. Although he was on his way to another call he was able to talk me through some basic troubleshooting of our hot water heater. I was able to restore the water pressure and get back to work in under an hour. Highly recommended due to his extremely helpful and professional attitude. Will call him again next time we require plumbing expertise. read more

Have you ever heard anyone say that they trust their plumber? I trust mine. He is so knowledgeable. He can diagnose problems with our complex plumbing system, and he tries to explain the problem to me- even though I have no idea what he is talking about. We have never had to call him out repeatedly for a problem- it gets fixed the first time. I am so impressed with Adept. Christian is a one man show, but he manages to make us happy each time we call him. read more

Just had my best plumber experience ever! My downstair neighbor complained about a leak coming from my bathroom. I was worried if I had to start tearing up the bathroom to locate the leak. Christian came out and methodically isolated the problem. As it turned out it was a rotten gasket off the tub overflow intake. He was awesome and patient with me. I would definitely recommend Christian to my friends! read more

Thank goodness we don't have more plumbing problems than we do, but I no longer fear them like I used to. I have found a friend and professional in Christian.
