I went here on several occasions and had really hoped it would be my new go-to salon. I tried four different technicians and it just didn't work out. First getting to the salon is a chore. It is on a gravel parking lot and if you are driving too fast you just might miss the turn into the "shopping center." The place is ALWAYS crowded. That doesn't mean its a good sign. I've made appointments and would still have to wait. Or how about I've made appointments only to be told by the person who I was suppose to see "Can someone else do your nails? I'm backed up." What??? Obviously they are not hurting for money but guess what, having a little respect goes a long way. The very last time I went the girl who did my nails complained the whole time that they were so long. How about you keep that to yourself and do my nails. That's what you get paid to do right? When I decided to go back to a different shop, they were appalled at my nail job. I have never used color acrylic and honestly I don't know what the proper procedure is when you change colors. Apparently they did a horrendous job because the acrylic was entirely too thick. I was soooo happy when I removed that crap from my nails. If you don't mind being rushed, you should go here. But I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Beautiful nails and beautiful experience. My first review of this place was not that nice when describing my experience. I was told that I was too late and that they were unable to do my nails even though it was another hour before they closed. I work Monday- Friday and therefore it is very difficult to do everything during the weekend. I wish they stayed open a little later. Nonetheless, A co-worker told me to give them a try. She recommended Quin. Omg Quin is amazing!! She takes her time and she is also so neat. She did my gel nails, pedicure, and eyebrows. I was very impressed and will continue to go here for my nail needs. The atmosphere is a little dark but very peaceful. I am glad I gave this place another chance. While on vacation I decided to visit Addison Nails and see what they had to offer. The salon is right across the street from Addison Rd station, so if you don't have your own transportation you are still good! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Anne. I was shocked how busy the salon was taken it was Monday mid day. I was visiting the salon for a color gel manicure and a basic pedicure. Anne did a great job on my nails, Lala did my pedicure. I recommend if you are in a hurry and want a in and out visit you better make an appointment!! I can only imagine how the salon is on the weekend. The salon was clean, well designed for a comfortable visit. However, I noticed that one of the pedicure techs was wearing headphones and listening to music why performing a pedicure. I found that unprofessional, a tech should always be aware and totally engaged in the service given, communication is key when providing these types of services. Also the tools used during the pedicure should be placed in a sanitization sterilizer not placed over and over again in reused blue liquid. They have a seperate waxing room which is a plus and plenty of acrylic color and gel polish to choose from. All in all the salon is worth visiting. read more

Best quality and lowest price ive seen since moving to MD. I got a pedicure for $20, not bad for the area which seems to average $25+. The polish lasted about 3 weeks without chipping or cracking. The shop its self is kinds grubby, I noticed the seats all had towels on them im guessing to hide the fading I noticed on a few, paint is chipping, someone was getting eyebrows done in the middle of the shop...Despite that they did seem to keep the foot spas clean. read more

I just moved into the area and was trying to find an affordable and clean nail salon with experienced nail technicians. Addison Nails definitely fits the bill, they are affordable, the nail techs know what they are doing and the inside of the salon is nice and clean. The only con was the wait. It opens at 10 am on Sunday, I got their at 10:15 am and didn't start getting my nails done until 10:45 am. I would suggest going there right before they open the doors or mid day during the weekday. One of the nail techs said that it is SUPER busy weekday afternoons when people are getting off from work. This is the best nail salon I've found so far in the area, and I guess there are lots of other women in the area that agree. :) read more

BEST KEPT SECRET in PG County!!! I'm glad because it's not as crowded, but then again, I would like for more people to patronize this establishment so, (A). They'll stay in business & I can continue to receive great service and (B). Simply because they deserve it. after failing with some of the other local nail shops i decided to try Addison Nails . Annie Hooked me up! I got a full-set nude gel polish coffin shaped nails and she was able to deliver flawlessly. This is a nail salon I frequented regularly when I lived in the neighborhood until about 9 months ago when I moved. The service was always good and work was good quality. I went back the other day to find the opposite. The employee was rude then complained when I paid with a credit card. To make things worse the work quality was poor - didn't last two days. I was really hoping that after my visit today I would have been able to give a 5 star rating. Overall the service was fine. However, because of the upcharges and inconsistencies in service, I am not able to give a rating higher than a 2. Annie did my nails and I got an overlay, she asked if I wanted gel and I asked the price difference between the two. She told me if I got clear polish it would be $27.00 and if I got gel it would be $33, however, when I went to the back to get my pedicure and she was polishing my nails I said I think I want to get gel and she said that the price would be $10 more for color. While I was getting nails done and my daughter and son were waiting to get a pedicure, I asked Annie how much it would be for a gel fill-in for my daughter, she said $18, the girl who did her nails told her it would be $25 and when my daughter asked her to shape her nails she (Queen) told her that would be $5.00 more...really? However, when I went to pay the bill Annie told me that the cost of my daughters nails was $28 and when I showed her their brochure and asking her to explain she wasn't really able to. The brochure said that gel nails for a full set was $28 and a fill was $18. No where on the brochure did it say that there was a $10 upcharge for gel polish. The additional charge is not a problem, the problem is the that it wasn't posted anywhere in the salon or in the brochure. The other problem was the different price quotes. Also FYI, effective 4/1/15, there is a $2.00 service charge for using debit or credit cards. The technician (Tina) who did my pedicure was a bit rude and appeared to not want to be bothered. The pedicure process was inconsistent between the 3 techicians. Queen used sterilized utensils from a packet from the autoclave but Bamboo and Tina didn't. I was in search of a new salon closer to home and chose Addison nails because of the most recent reviews. My search continues! read more

Today I decided to check this salon out after reading positive yelp reviews. Normally I go to 5 Star Nails on Central Avenue and have been doing so for almost 10 years. I wanted to try a new salon because there is always a wait at 5 Star and the prices seem to keep increasing for average work. Upon arriving to Addison nails I was unsure if the business was open because there is very dark tint on their front door (kinda sketchy). Once I opened the door I was relieved to see there were people inside and that it was not too busy. I was immediately assisted by a technician named Bamboo. She was great. She did my fill in with such efficiency in s timely manner. I examined my almond shaped nails to ensure they were shaped correctly (I thought she had to have messed up since she did it too fast). I was pleasantly surprised that they were perfect. She applied my polish and top coat and I was out of the shop in 33 minutes. I have never received service so fast while getting my nails done. I was expecting to be there for an hour (15 minutes waiting and the rest getting nails done). I am so happy that I stopped here. The icing on the cake was that the service cost me $12 less than what I had been paying at 5 Star Nails. I have been converted and will only be going to this shop now. read more
