They were very prompt and courteous at first. Very communicative and came out to my home to do an estimate. I think after realizing it was a small job they then blew me off in favor of other jobs. Tried to contact them and they replied initially but eventually still didn't even get an estimate from them. read more

I would give more than 5 stars if I could! This was my first time buying hardwood flooring ever, so I had a lot to learn! I shopped around at 3 other floor places and did NOT receive nearly the same service I did as I did at ADC Floors. I stumbled upon their store front in my new neighborhood and I am so happy I stopped in!!! I am a first time home owner and was the process of installing hardwood throughout my entire home. Let's just say, I had a ton of questions. The owner Daniel is extremely professional, very prompt and accommodating. I had so many questions with this being my first rodeo and he couldn't of been more thorough and helpful. I can also say the same for his installers and staff. The installers arrived on time every day and cleaned up very well after every day of work. I felt comfortable leaving the installers at my house while I went to work. They were very kind, respectful and helpful as well. The project was completed in the amount of time I was quoted and the final bill was exactly what I was quoted early on. They installed solid acacia pre-finished hardwood and I am in love the results. I highly recommend ADC Flooring! read more

When we purchased our new townhome, we wanted to replace the carpet on the 3rd floor with hardwood. I called 3 people for a quote - one wrote everything down on the back of a business card, one asked me all sorts of questions I didn't know the answers to (i.e. is there plywood under the carpet) and wouldn't come out to the house to look for himself for an accurate quote and then there was Daniel. He arrived on time, explained everything in detail, put together a professional quote for me with all of the details and showed me samples of his work while we talked. That's just the beginning... We wanted the floors done quickly so we could move in. They met our timing and their attention to detail was impeccable! We've since recommended ADC to some friends who needed floors in a new place refinished and they were equally pleased. No need to look any further - ADC Floors is the best choice for all of your hardwood flooring needs. read more

I was looking for a company to install cork flooring on my second floor and I came upon Daniel's company on yelp. He runs a kind, honest and timely company and most of all the work is good. The price is good and the care that Daniel puts in to make sure you will get will you asked for is above par---he has a nice eye for design as well. I liked my floors so much, I hired ADC to rip out the carpet on my stairs (that I was dying to get rid of ) and now have a beautiful set of painted wood stairs. Highly recommended. read more

I recently purchased the 5 year old condo that I had been renting, and spending $15K for custom upgrades. I contacted Daniel for an installation quote of engineered wood flooring in both carpeted bedrooms and closets. The rest of the 1200 sf unit has beautiful Havea species engineered wood flooring that was discontinued much to my dismay. Daniel was most helpful in locating a gorgeous Beech Viborg flooring made by Kahrs - they invented engineered wood flooring. The Beech Viborg has similar grain pattern and closest color match that was a relief to me. The installation cost $4600, but I couldn't be happier because Kahrs is a top notch European manufacturer. If I spend money, then I want high quality. Daniel regularly followed up and the schedule ran like clockwork. His crew was detail-oriented, professional and meticulous about leveling the concrete floors, installation, and clean up. They were careful in moving all furniture from both bedrooms into the living room and sealing off rooms to prevent dust from disturbing my saltwater reef aquarium. Daniel was able to schedule repairs to commence the next week after I signed the contract. His quick scheduling was perfect considering that I was pre-occupied with an upcoming Australia trip and juggling multiple contractors. The new floors look amazing. See photos. My condo is looking fabulous! read more

Daniel and crew at ADC Floors were fantastic!! When Daniel first came out to give me a quote he impressed me right away with his thorough, in depth initial assessment and his attention to detail. I had gotten a number of quotes before him and not one of them asked about what I wanted, but rather pushed their own agenda. Daniel wanted to make sure I was pleased with everything throughout the process and he kept in frequent contact and gave great guidance and suggestions. I had a damaged subfloor which needed repair and he fixed it beautifully. He was patient with delays on my end, was efficient, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to be well taken care of throughout their flooring installation! read more

Every bit of our experience with ADC Floors was spectacular! We had quotes from 4 companies to refinish our floors, and Daniel was very open and upfront from the first time we spoke. He was able to meet at the house and give a detailed (and accurate) quote. He pulled out a few impressive tools (all digital) that gave him the dimensions of the rooms. Within minutes, he was able to put together the contract and provided us with a digital copy. After looking at the price, he was correct...wasn't necessarily the cheapest (VERY competitive though), but seemed by far the most ethical, responsive and trustworthy! He was hired on the spot! On the first day, we gave him a 50% deposit but forgot to ask for any sort of receipt or acknowledgment of the transaction. Without asking, (and about an hour later) he had sent an email to me mentioning that he received the deposit for $X amount. -Ethical Everyday throughout the job, he was in frequent communication with us and really showed that he takes his job very seriously. -Responsive When everything was finished, we went to the house and were truly amazed at the quality of the work that his team provided. One the first day, we simply gave him the key to the house and let him do his thing. Every day, he locked up the house and left it in a secure manner. - Trustworthy I hope that I don't need to have my floors done in the near future, but if I do, ADC Floors will be the only company that I will call. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Daniel and his crew. read more

I had them refinish the hardwood floors of my condo and of a condo that I have as a rental unit. Daniel talked to me about the finish options and the process. He was very helpful and professional. They showed up on time and finished the job by the date that they had told me. They did a great job. read more

We had our floors done in the summer of 2010. Our house is on the small side (1,00 sq ft) I've been meaning to give them a good review. Daniel was great and they did the job pretty fast. The price was very good. I was pleased all around. We still get compliments on our floors. read more

I found ACD Floors on yelp and I am very pleased that I used them for the project on my house in the western suburbs. Daniel and his team were very professional, showed up when they said they would, worked with us to meet our needs and overall did an outstanding job. Our home was built in the 1950s and an addition and second floor was added in the late 80s. The original house had ¾" oak floors however the 80s kitchen and front entry way were linoleum and the second floor was carpet with a plywood subfloor. I had ADC lay new ¾" oak on the second floor and also had them feather in oak into the kitchen and front entry way. Once installed, they sanded and refinished the floors throughout the house. The end product was perfect. You can't tell where the 50s floor ends and the new floor begins. ADC was also very helpful in color selection of the stain. They put down eight different stains on our living room floor so we could see what the different colors look like in our room with our lighting. We didn't love any of the eight colors so ADC worked with us and blended two colors together to come up with the right color. I would recommend ADC to anyone in Chicago or suburbs for floor installation and refinishing. read more

I want to start by saying that this was the best overall experience I have ever had with a construction type company. I had never had hardwood floors installed before ,so I did my homework. The first place I checked was my helpful YELP account. Friends had suggestions of companies they had used, but it was only for refinishing not complete installation. ADC had great reviews so they were one of three companies I called. I met with Daniel, who impressed me with his knowledge two minutes into my door. He arrived on time and upon entering I showed him the floors which I wanted to match and he was able to tell the type of wood , stain and finish immediately. The price beat my other estimates by a narrow margin so that was a plus. The main reason I would highly recommend this company is the work was performed on the day promised, finish on the day promised and everything plus more was completed to my wildest expectations. The floors are gorgeous and as seamless as a bowling alley . The stairs appear like the were cut from one large chunk of Oak, they are that beautiful. After finishing the carpenter Pablo vac um and dusted the work area very well. I would use this company for any of my flooring needs without hesitation. read more

Wow. Had 75% of house installed with hardwoods. There were some existing hardwoods that were significantly lighter than the color I ultimately wanted. The job required transitioning old floors with new floors. Outcome...seamless. People come over, I tell them "these are the old floors, these are the new", reaction every time, "wow, are you kidding me". Reasonably priced, had a couple quotes, they were right there in price. Professional, Daniel really knows his stuff. Only caveat, he prefers talking to texting :-). Would highly recommend. Will be using them to finish the rest of the house in a couple months. read more

Daniel and team did a great job installing prefinished hardwood floors in my bedrooms. He held me select the color that best matched my other floors. Daniel is a true perfectionist and I appreciated this as he took great pride in doing a job that would please my desires. His crew showed up on time each day and cleaned up after themselves. I felt comfortable leaving his guys in my house while I was at work, good quality people. Daniel was willing to meet me as my schedule allowed while we worked on selecting the floors and even met me at 6am once. He goes above and beyond. Great job upon completion and very happy to have hired someone like Daniel who genuinely cared about doing a good job that pleased me. read more

Daniel and his staff were prompt, professional, and did a great job overall. Daniel is the consummate businessman. He cares about his customers, and he cares about the quality of his product. My wife and I had floors installed two years ago, and we absolutely love them. Daniel was there for the whole process, and even guided us to going with wider planks over narrower ones, a decision we are really happy with. He has followed up over the past two years - showing that we are more than just a job to him. Can't recommend ADC enough. read more

We had ADC Floors refinish the hardwood flooring running throughout our new condo. They patched, sanded, varnished and sealed the entire unit in under a week and the results were beautiful. We had two other contractors tell us our floors weren't worth saving due to damaged/broken areas and less than stellar repair work done in the past, but Daniel and his team worked miracles on them and left us with what feels like new floors for a fraction of the cost of a full replacement. The entire team from start to finish were very responsive and respectful of our property, and we really appreciated the daily updates on their progress. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the ADC Floors crew to anyone looking to save your original hardwood floors. They will do a great job. read more

Daniel was recommended to me by a friend, and he has been extraordinary. He came to my property to give estimates, and the quotes were very clear and straightforward. Great job! We did a condo rehab in LIncoln Park. ADC quoted this with a couple options and thoroughly explained the differences in options ... the quote was very fair and highly competitive. The prep work was great; the review of stain colors on the raw wood was impressive, and the final stain looked great. They did one coat of sealer and then came back when all the carpentry rehab had been finished and put another sealer coat on. Very impressed ... we will definitely use ADC on our next project. read more

Great job. Our floors look wonderful. They were professional and helpful throughout the entire process.

Excellent experience. This is the first time I've taken the time to write a review on Yelp (yes, I'm ashamed). I'm here because I real.y cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Daniel and ADC Flooring. The floors in my new condo were pretty ratty. Not only did Daniel provide an attention to detail heads and shoulders above the other three estimates I got, his price was in line with the far weaker competitors. The small extra percentage for a thorough detailing of floors that I don't expect I will have to touch for years is well worth it. Top quality at competitive prices. read more

This is a fine, responsible company, whose owner, Daniel, is knowlegible, pleasant, and efficient, and whose crew, Danny, Paulo, and Paulo's brother, work quickly, clean, and are pleasant and helpful to live around while flooring is being installed. I had flooring for my whole house installed by ADC and am satisfied with the company's work. I recommend this company highly. I wish they accepted credit cards. read more

I cannot say enough good things about ADC flooring! I recently purchased a condo that was a foreclosure. The floor was in shambles. Painted as dark as it could be to hide the many dog and cat pee stains. Daniel came in to the rescue, He fixed the floor where it needed to be repaired, he pulled up the wood and found that there was water underneath. Without any adjustment in price he used a fan to dry the space out and repaired the moldy wood. Daniel was so flexible with my time frame. it was a long process getting the bank to close on time and Daniel remained calm and collected when I had to reschedule more than one. I ended up picking Jacobean as my stain and could not be more pleased. ADC floors worked with me in every way and I would recommend them to anyone! read more

ADC Floors was great! Daniel, the owner, was both knowledgeable and amiable, he seemed to genuinely care about us and the work. The free estimate was transparent and detailed, and in the end the price was accurate as well. They were flexible, finished the job on time, and supplied extra documentation for floor care. The employees were responsible and friendly as well, and the end product looks wonderful. read more

This was the BEST consultation I have EVER experienced with any contractor or sub-contractor. EVER. Daniel was responsive, on-time, explained my options in a very patient and comprehensible way (he could be a professor) and has a passion for the science behind flooring/finishing/process (it's not just a job). He pointed out facts about my floor and options that two other specialists did not. I was astonished to see that he generated an estimate on-site (with details), walked me through the quote and did not try to upsell me. His price was very competitive and we was willing to adjust certain costs to address our needs. Can't wait to see the floors! read more

Our floors were atrocious! We had a very deep mahogany stain and our floors were warped in some areas and had scuff marks all throughout the entry hall. We were sick of the dark floor and wanted to get our red oak floors back to their natural state with a low VOC water based sealer. So glad we decided to go with ADC. First off, the estimate process was very organized, efficient, and not to mention the job was more than fairly priced. The owner, Daniel, walked me through the work plan and explained the entire process to me quite thoroughly. His crew showed up on time the first day and went right to work. During the sanding process and removal of the old stain Daniel called me and asked that I visit the work site because some of the original stain had seeped into the soft wood in some areas and he wanted me to take a look at it. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of his crew in letting me know before moving forward. They are perfectionists and it shows in their work. The effect was very minimal so we decided to proceed with the natural finish. They also replaced some squeaky floor boards for us and installed a new threshold. All-in-all the job took 1 1/2 days to complete for roughly 600SF and they look fantastic... better than brand new! We will definitely use ADC for all future flooring projects and highly recommend them to friends/family. read more

Daniel and his team did an excellent job on our bamboo floors. First, as soon as you say bamboo refinishing to flooring contractors, most immediately tell you they don't deal with bamboo sanding and refinishing due to the difficulty in obtaining smooth, even results. So ADC was one of the few contractors with the experience and confidence to approach sanding and completely changing the color of 2,000 square feet of bamboo. Daniel's insights into how to obtain satisfactory results, what all had to be done to be pleased in the end, were detailed and reflected experience. We actually chose ADC at about twice the price of another quote from a vendor who had recommended only a light top sanding and refinishing. Daniel refused to quote the project that way, indicating that we'd be unhappy with the uneven results. After extensive review with the other contractors, we sucked it up and went with ADC. ADC stacked our entire house in the few rooms and lower level that had tile floors in about 5 hours. That caught us by surprise and we scrambled to assemble our clothes we thought would be available until late in the day! The sanding took 2 days longer than expected due to the massively hard aluminum oxide applied to our pre-finished bamboo at the factory, but ADC stuck with it. Once we picked a color sample stained on a closet floor, ADC applied the stain to the entire project, but the result was a color much darker than we'd picked or wanted. Maybe it was a wrong stain mix, or the floors in other open areas absorbed the stain differently. Didn't matter to ADC -- they resanded the entire house withour question. We picked a new color from tests in other areas of the house, and ADC stained all over again and then applied 3 layers of top coat. The results: awesome. We love our new bamboo color. Better than new. You could just look at it that the project took several days longer than expected, but we look at it that despite a much more difficult than anticipated initial sanding, and sanding the entire house again to make us happy, ADC is a stand up company and does quality work. read more

I had water damage on the floor and need to have the floor refinished. I had 3 quotes. ADC floors was not cheap. However, I selected them because Daniel was the most professional and offered the most detailed explanations of the scope of work and the estimates on each line item. I wanted to make sure to have someone who will do a good job because we had a very bad experience with the last floor refinish contractor a few years ago. The crew did a fantastic job from beginning to end. The finish was beautiful and we are very happy with the results. I would highly recommend them. read more

ADC did a fantastic job on our wood floors. Daniel and Johnny were very professional. We had new wood added to a room and the rest of our floors refinished. Communication was excellent from the time I requested a quote to the time the project was complete. We were out of town during the project and they sent pictures of the prep and floors every day. From the start of the process to the end, ADC floors paid attention to details, owned the process, and took pride in their work. Daniel came by to measure and give a quote for the job including nuances that I didn't even know I had to consider. As the job was being done, I clearly saw why those nuances mattered. I contacted two other companies and neither were as thorough as Daniel in presenting a description of the job. When I asked those companies about some of the items Daniel included, they said they could do it but it would cost more. With Daniel, all the items were clearly described and itemized in the contract. I could accept them or have them taken out. Antonius and Danny arrived to do the actual work. The biggest praise I can give is that their works makes me believe they take pride in what they do. On top of that, they were professional and pleasant. Each day Johnny would send an e-mail and or phone call update on the job. There were no surprises. All the work was completed on time and as expected or better. I also want to give praise to Denisa who called before the job started to make sure I understood what was going to happen. ADC cost more than the other companies, but I feel they were worth every penny. read more
