I would 1000% recommend Vasi at ADR Flooring to anybody, I will be recommending him to everybody I know, and he will be my first call if I need any other floor work done in the future. From the moment I first messaged, he was extremely prompt in responding, provided all the necessary information, and scheduled the follow up. I don't know much about flooring and he very patiently explained the process. The quote was competitive and there was absolutely no nickel and diming or attempted upcharging after the fact. I needed the carpet in two bedrooms replaced with hardwood to match the rest of my home. Vasi kept me completely up to date on the work he did every day and the expected time remaining. This is my second review for ADR flooring. Vasi and his team hit it out of the park again with an excellent job! I hired them to sand and refinish my hardwood floors in my home in October last year and was extremely satisfied. I volunteer for an animal shelter in Arlington Heights and we had an office and a multipurpose room with floors badly in need of replacement. I knew right away who I would call for the job. Vasi got back to me in a day with a quote. They removed the old laminate floors in both rooms and replaced them with more durable waterproof vinyl floors. They look amazing. They carefully removed the molding and quarter round so I did not have to replace it. Work was completed in a timely manner. Some background on our story. We moved into our historic 1893 home just over 5 years ago. We immediately pulled up the carpet in our master bedroom, knowing there must be hardwood under them like the rest of the house. What we found instead was 1940s tile, so we scraped that up... and tar paper... and there were our floors. Long-board heart pine. The only issue was it was covered still in a bit of paper. Oh yeah - there was also a fire in the corner of the room in the 1970s - which caused there to be a massive hole of just plywood in that area. We contacted multiple contractors trying to find someone who could find wood to patch the hole and restore the floors. Everyone said I needed to find the wood and then we could talk. I started looking everywhere. I even made an order, but it was back-ordered. We were about to have our first child, so I rented a floor scraper and sander and did the best I could. I bought some face plywood, ripped it into boards that matched, and patched the hole. We decided to paint the whole thing so we could at least use the room when our daughter arrived. Fast forward 5 years. Green floors still going strong. In between, I had gotten a round of quotes for the floor, but no one seemed to really understand the project. I had finally received my wood order, and it had been sitting under our bed for 18 months. The flooring contractors I could get to call us back wanted a lot of money or seemed to act like the project was too small for them. Then a friend saved the day by referring me to ADR. They were quick in response and scheduling a time to start the project. I described the issues, and they didn't flinch. During the project, I needed more overrun than I had bought for the hole and adding a new floor to our closet. Again, they didn't flinch and went to get wood that would work for the few boards they needed. They even went the extra mile and insulated between the wall and floor joist, where there was no barrier. Our room hasn't been this warm in the winter ever! Killed the cold floor near the exterior walls. They effortlessly replaced what needed to be replaced. Moved boards around so the room would age properly between new and old wood. Most of all, our bedroom is beautiful, matches the rest of the upstairs, and we saved that wood that must be 225 years old (at least). ADR Flooring was the best! The speed of response. The quality of the work. The care for the rest of our home. The ability to roll with the punches and not involve me at every stage unless needed. On top of all of that, they stuck to their word for pricing (so I paid a little more and a tip, you should think about doing the same, that is how great they are). I hope to have them redo our main level. The care and respect for our historic home is just what we wanted. In summary, when many other flooring contractors were impossible to get a hold of or said it couldn't be done without ripping up all our floors, ADR didn't flinch and completed the job on time and picture-perfect! read more

We called ADR in a pinch when someone we had previously procured kept stringing us along with a start date, only to cancel the day before he was to finally start. This was especially frustrating because we were finishing floors in a house we were already living in and would continue to live in through the refinishing process. Which meant half our home was empty of furniture and prematurely uninhabitable. I really cant say enough good things about working with Vasi for Hardwood flooring on our home renovation. It is so difficult to find trustworthy and reliable subcontractors and Vasi with ADR certainly is one of them!!! He may even be my favorite person who worked on our job (and my cousin worked on this project! so thats saying alot!) He is professional and respectful, knowledgable and always does and says what he promises. He is SUCH A HARD WORKER- and always with a positive, helpful attitude-just one of those guys who will work late and do everything he can to get the job done with a smile on his face. He comes from a place of "yes, lets make it happen"- which really is saying a lot from trades people these days! We renovated a mid century home with 2-1/4 red oak planks existing in the kitchen only and wanted to carry that hard wood throughout the rest of the home. My fiance and I recently purchased an 1890s home in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. The floors were original, and were in disrepair. The floors were a blonde oak and looked dated, with many floor boards needing a total overhaul. Best price, professional, thoughtful, comprehensive, and efficient! Vasi did a fantastic job sanding and restaining the vintage oak floors of my condo. He was very prompt and quick on text to come in for a quote, arrived on time, and took no more than 20 minutes total to come up with the quote. We decided to go with a water finish (as opposed to poly) for health reasons. The water finish requires 3 coats (whereas the poly has 2 coats), so this added an extra day of work for the final coat. The extra day's labor also adds to the cost, but not by an unreasonable amount. In total, his team was able to cover 1600 sq ft of floors in 3 days. The overall sanding process was dusty (but not as terrible as what we had imagined), and Vasi's team used plastic covering to seal off the areas of the house that were not being worked on. Vasi's experience and style was so helpful in making small decisions, especially when it came to the finish. We went with Pewter, which is a dark espresso-like finish and very modern. We love it! Vasi also did us a favor at no extra charge. There was decrepit flooring in one of the closets which honestly didn't have a floor. We asked him about it, and he ended up using some leftover engineering wood, stained it to match the rest of our floors, and replaced the closet flooring beautifully. Originally I wanted to refinish the old pine but it was past any decent repair. The condo is not very level but Vasi was still able to install everything and make it look real good. ADR Flooring (Vasi) arrived right on schedule to repair an area of worn flooring in my son's bedroom. All equipment and materials were kept on a drop clothe to keep area clean. The repair (multiple sandings, clean up, stain and seal) looks better than I imagined it could. In addition, I asked Vasi to take a look at my staircase because a few steps were loose. He took each step apart and outside to scrape off old glue, added nails to stabilize the existing woodwork, and finally glued steps down with the proper adhesive. After he finished both projects, he vacuumed the floors and the stairs, saving me from having to do it. I watched him work the entire time he was here, and I can't overstate how impressed I am.
