I tried the Carnita burritos and the Chorizo burrito and they were both very greasy. I will not go back again.

We had a group of 22 people and the staff were very on top of making sure that our drink orders were taken immediately, followed by our food order. Big shout out to Jaden who took care of us - she's was awesome and did a fantastic job even with our complicated orders. I shared the Texas Surf and Turf with a few others a the smell of the sizzling platter triggered the drooling right away. It has steak, chicken, and shrimp served with tortillas, beans, rice, pico, and sour cream. It was hot and fresh when it came out and had a great flavor! Their margaritas were great too! The had a good flavor and very balanced. I would definitely go back to try more of the menu!

I ordered the shrimp and beef fajitas--the shrimp was tasty and cooked well, but the beef lacked flavor and felt underwhelming. My husband ordered the carne asada and enjoyed it. The Queso Mariano was quite good -- creamy, flavorful, and loaded with guacamole, picadillo beef, sour cream, and tomatoes. We arrived a few minutes before closing, but they were kind enough to still accommodate us. There were still plenty of people dining, and we actually left before some other tables. Service started off a bit slow, as we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order, but once we were attended to, everything went smoothly. The restaurant itself is spacious and has a nice atmosphere, making it a comfortable spot for a casual meal.

I love that it's customizable with the menu so you can build each order how you'd prefer. The food is fresh so it may take a minute for it to come out but not an absurd amount of time. This location is near the Walmart / it's parking is just enough for the size of the restaurant. Customer service is on point, they have a self order option so you can do that or ask all your questions with a team member. Restaurant is always clean. Typically is not to busy so you can sit while you wait. Xoxo.

If you are looking for a step up for Tex Mex, this is a good spot. I wasn't greeted when I first went in but the ordering is super easy and convenient with their kiosk upfront. One of the staff did offer to help me with my order and they assured me they were there to help if I needed it. He was friendly and had a great disposition. I wasn't sure why more people weren't inside eating because the ambiance was nice and I liked how the seating was arranged. There was plenty of space between the tables and chairs and the walls were visually stimulating. I ordered to go and I didn't have to wait too long for the food. I drove about 10 mins to get back to the hotel and the grease from the meat had already solidified. I ordered the carne asada tacos with everything on it and it came with a cup of beans. There was a good amount of meat and toppings for each one. The beans were salty in my opinion but to be fair, I don't eat a lot of salt anyway. The meat was savory and they didn't skimp on the serving size but it was greasy so I tasted that just as much as the meat which was off putting. I ordered it with flour tortillas but they were so thin that it all fell apart when I tried to pick it up so I ended up eating it with a fork! I would try it again but maybe with chicken next time it even their quesadillas. I think it's definitely worth a try though.

2/5 for service & overall experience 3/5 for the food…read more(taste) Easy parking. Womens restroom in disrepair. We were seeing a movie close by so thought 1hr would give us enough time - turns out we only needed maybe 25 mins on a Friday night. We were immediately greeted by a smiling hostess. We were seated at a booth in the bar by the kitchen which didn't bother me initially. It didn't take long to be distracted by the loud celebrating and noises coming from the kitchen. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer a happy kitchen crew hopefully making food with care but it was over the top loud - there needs to be more of a separation from what the customers can hear. During our short time there, they tried to seat people at the table between us & the kitchen 3 times and the groups knew better and requested to be seated elsewhere. The bartender was our waiter. He was polite but very rushed and appeared to have his mind on other tasks the entire time. I can't blame him either but our experience at Lupes suffered because of it. They need a drink menu!!! I stated I wanted a margarita and inquired if they use sweet & sour mix or if they have a lime juice option. He said we don't use sweet & sour but we use the regular sweet n sour mix. (Face palm) He asked if I want the large and I asked how big it was, like in a tall boy, he pointed to a table nearby and said 20oz. What I got was not at all what he pointed to but it was fine. I love their chips. Light & not too salty. Black bean dip & salsa (medium spice level this night) were good. For 3 people, they brought us 4 salsas & 1 bean. (Would have preferred 2-3 salsas & 2 beans to even it out) We ordered appetizer and entrees. Told him we were waiting for our 3rd person (that we ordered entree for) who would be arriving within 10 minutes. We got our chili con queso and ground beef within 5 minutes which was great. It was good. Our chip bowl had maybe 4 chips in it when they brought the queso so noticing that & bringing more chips would have been ideal. We were able to ask for more chips when they delivered our food less than 2 minutes later and they brought more chips quickly, They need to pay more attention to service and the customer dining experience. It would have been nice to enjoy our queso while warm then eat our meals warm, and once our 3rd guest arrived. Their inattention or lack of care made the experience feel rushed and we ate cold food. They were not packed so there was no need (that I could tell) to be so rushed. Food was overall average tex mex,

The moment she walked in they were ready to seat us. Unfortunately I don't recall the name of our server however he was awesome! Knowledgeable, helped with making decisions, and friendly. We sat long after we were done eating catching up and not once did he rush us out the door, instead he kept coming by refilling our glasses. So in the process of catching up, I dropped the ball and didn't get the pictures i normally would get (I know, rookie mistake) however they have great lunch specials and great prices (my plate was $10 and came with beans, rice, a brisket taco, and a cheese enchilada with pico on the side). When we got seated they also brought chips and each of us our own salsa so I could double dip as much as I liked and put some on my food. Seriously, this was a great lunch and I even had enough to take home and munch on later. Will I go back? Definitely as I need to give the drinks and other dishes a try!!!

Hubs got the Enchilada lunch, selecting beef and he was very satisfied, everything tasted fresh, and was cooked to perfection, along with looking so visually appealing. Oh, also, their chips and salsa are a TREAT, if you've never been they bring a trio of salsa's, one is a tomatillo based, sweetened with pineapple, it's so bright and fresh, and actually surprised me, I don't believe I have ever had sweet, green salsa, every one at the table should like this, they also have a mild, traditional red salsa, and a smoky, roasted, medium spiciness salsa, all three were delicious! I got the Fresco Salad, and chose beef fajita for my protein. Look, I am not a huge salad lover, but it sounded good, and I was looking for something on the lighter side, UM, WOW! Honestly I can't stop thinking about it lol, first of all it's huge, I was only able to eat about 1/4 or maybe even a little less, before I had to give up, and ask for a box. There was enough left that the next day, I made small quesadillas and split the rest with my hubs for lunch and we both were stuffed. The salad was fresh and crisp, the flavors including the dressing that automatically comes with it is the perfect match up of flavors. I really need to find an Abuelo's while out of town next week lol. Our service was great, Tony was very attentive and helpful, always made sure our beverages were full, and friendly. I will ask for his section the next time we visit! To wrap things up, know that the portions are generous, the food is on point, and the restaurant is large, so they can accommodate groups and parties, the atmosphere is lovely, and decor beautiful and festive , I hope you give them a try.
