    Pupusas

Caldo de res 6/10 Pupusas 9/10 Rice 8/10 Beans 8/10 I came in one morning and the caldo was not ready. I finally decided on the pupusa plate. I am glad I did because these were some of the best pupusas I have ever had. The rice and beans are some of the best I have had in a restaurant as well. The caldo de res hit the spot. The vegetables were all soft and there was plenty every vegetable. My coworker says the chicken fajita taco and chicken gordita were very good. I'll definitely stop by any of these locations when I am back in town. Best part is that there are 7 locations around DFW

    Menudo??!!

Never in my life have I ever had menudo with pieces of pork roast. Really really bad idea of whoever thought that this would work but horrible idea. It's not menudo then, it's a combo of pozole/menudo, which I definitely didn't ask for.

So sad and so not worth it. Got a chicken quesadilla for my daughter. It was so plain. No cheese. Forgot sour cream on the side. All Dark meat dried out nasty chicken. Quesadilla and a small drink $11.75!!!!!! You've got to be kidding me.

We wanted something authentic so we tried this little place for breakfast. It was amazing, so amazing we came back for dinner. I had barbacoa tacos and they were delightful. Try the chips and queso you will thank me later.

I'm partially Hispanic, so I know authentic Hispanic food. This is authentic, and homemade! Considering my taste proclivities, I rarely get the ordinary. Instead, I usually order Pozole. Traditional Mexican pozole (posole) is a rich, brothy soup made with pork, hominy, and red chiles. Pile your bowl with toppings like shredded cabbage, radishes, cilantro, lime, and avocado! It was très bien, bahuta acchā, or muy bien. -

Love this place! The nachos are not very photogenic, but they are bomb af. Service is always super quick, order is always correct! They have a big patio if you love eating outside like me.

This is the only mexican place i go to and the only food i order is the lengua corn taco with EVERYTHING on it. Cilantro onion lettuce cheese avocado sourcream lime . It is more expensive than barbacua or any meat but i like the lengua! Sometimes it depends on who is working- on how they do your plate- if it's substantial or they put few toppings.

They were out of so many things, I finally asked for Milanesa torta which is normally breaded beef/pork they legit gave me A BREADED HAMBURGER PATTY it was disgusting. The lettuce has been there for at least 3-4 weeks. Nasty idk how they're still in business.

Beef enchiladas with barbacoa tacos and carnitas tacos. Really amazing.

I had highly recommended the restaurant to the group and knew Los Jimadores wouldn't let us down, and I was right. After getting seated and greeted by our enthusiastic server and staff, everyone ordered drinks and started munching on chips and salsa. They all loved the bean dip that Los Jimadores is known for. My wife and I ordered a couple of frozen margaritas. Being a restaurant focusing on tequilas, they definitely knew how to craft a great frozen margarita. Their "house" margarita is up to par of some of the best frozen margaritas we've had. They also have excellent salsa with just enough "bite" to keep it interesting. My wife decided on a 1/2 order of chicken quesadillas, and I opted for a combo platter consisting of a chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada and a crispy taco. The platter was accompanied with refried beans and Spanish rice. While waiting on all of our group's entrees, our group had a great time chatting and moving around the private room to catch up with folks we hadn't seen in quite a while. It was good to see everyone in person. The door opens and a parade of servers and staff started delivering our entrees to the group with military precision. It was great they had a lot of help to get the entrees to us while the plates were hot. Everyone loved the food at the restaurant. My wife's quesadillas were exactly what she wanted. The chicken was marinated perfectly and had a great grilled flavor. My combo platter was totally yummy, everything was GREAT. Thank you, Los Jimadores for a wonderful time. You impressed all my friends and I'm sure you're gained many new customers.

When we got seated they also brought chips and each of us our own salsa so I could double dip as much as I liked and put some on my food. We were seeing a movie close by so thought 1hr would give us enough time - turns out we only needed maybe 25 mins on a Friday night. We were immediately greeted by a smiling hostess. We were seated at a booth in the bar by the kitchen which didn't bother me initially. It didn't take long to be distracted by the loud celebrating and noises coming from the kitchen. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer a happy kitchen crew hopefully making food with care but it was over the top loud - there needs to be more of a separation from what the customers can hear. During our short time there, they tried to seat people at the table between us & the kitchen 3 times and the groups knew better and requested to be seated elsewhere. The bartender was our waiter. He was polite but very rushed and appeared to have his mind on other tasks the entire time. I can't blame him either but our experience at Lupes suffered because of it. They need a drink menu!!! I stated I wanted a margarita and inquired if they use sweet & sour mix or if they have a lime juice option. He said we don't use sweet & sour but we use the regular sweet n sour mix. (Face palm) He asked if I want the large and I asked how big it was, like in a tall boy, he pointed to a table nearby and said 20oz. What I got was not at all what he pointed to but it was fine. I love their chips. Light & not too salty. Black bean dip & salsa (medium spice level this night) were good. For 3 people, they brought us 4 salsas & 1 bean. (Would have preferred 2-3 salsas & 2 beans to even it out) We ordered appetizer and entrees. Told him we were waiting for our 3rd person (that we ordered entree for) who would be arriving within 10 minutes. We got our chili con queso and ground beef within 5 minutes which was great. It was good. Our chip bowl had maybe 4 chips in it when they brought the queso so noticing that & bringing more chips would have been ideal. We were able to ask for more chips when they delivered our food less than 2 minutes later and they brought more chips quickly, They need to pay more attention to service and the customer dining experience. It would have been nice to enjoy our queso while warm then eat our meals warm, and once our 3rd guest arrived. Their inattention or lack of care made the experience feel rushed and we ate cold food. They were not packed so there was no need (that I could tell) to be so rushed. Food was overall average tex mex,

We arrived a few minutes before closing, but they were kind enough to still accommodate us. There were still plenty of people dining, and we actually left before some other tables. I wasn't sure why more people weren't inside eating because the ambiance was nice and I liked how the seating was arranged. There was plenty of space between the tables and chairs and the walls were visually stimulating. I ordered to go and I didn't have to wait too long for the food. I drove about 10 mins to get back to the hotel and the grease from the meat had already solidified. I ordered the carne asada tacos with everything on it and it came with a cup of beans. There was a good amount of meat and toppings for each one. The beans were salty in my opinion but to be fair, I don't eat a lot of salt anyway. The meat was savory and they didn't skimp on the serving size but it was greasy so I tasted that just as much as the meat which was off putting. I ordered it with flour tortillas but they were so thin that it all fell apart when I tried to pick it up so I ended up eating it with a fork! I would try it again but maybe with chicken next time it even their quesadillas. I think it's definitely worth a try though.
