My daughter and I have driven by here many a times. But, every time we drive by we have already eaten and we say next time. Well, today was "next time". We walked in and it was during lunch hour. The server who helped us was Mr. Sean, very polite, welcoming and very efficient in preparing our food . He was very knowledgeable on their menu and great recommendations. This place is very clean, neat and well organized. My daughter had the chicken quesarito, with chicken, lime rice with cilantro, potatoes, refried beans and cheese sauce, for $13.39. I had the beef quesarito, refried bean, rice, potatoes and beef with cheese for $12.09. We also got the red velvet cream cheese cookie, for $5.35 each. My beef burrito was very delicious beef was seasoned perfectly as was the rice it was awesome. My daughter said she really liked her burrito and was seasoned perfectly. read more

They've given me half the amount of toppings while still charging the same price or more. I ordered a burrito for take away and specified no rice. I have food sensitivities to tomatoes (an ingredient in the Spanish rice) and cilantro (an ingredient in the cilantro lime rice) - so this is significant to my health. My burrito was stuffed with rice and had very small portions of the ingredients I actually requested. The tomatoes also soaked through the tortilla, which means I had to throw this food away to avoid getting sick. read more

The only things good about my order was the sauces and sadly the pre packaged chips. Although it tasted like everything was. Food was barely warm after making it 7 minutes to my home. There was an immeasurably small about of meat compared to the abundance of cold beans and bland rice. The guacamolé tasted like it was soaked in lime juice. This location ALWAYS exceeds my expectations! From the customer service to the taste/quality of the food.  I decided to stop in today to grab a bite to eat after doordashing for a couple oh hours. The greeting when I walked in the door was so welcoming that I instantly started smiling. They were all out of the white meat chicken and it would be a while before the next batch was ready, but they did everything in their power to make sure I was happy with my food. I decided to dine in so I could get back on the road after eating and I noticed that they greeted every single customer that came in the door with the same welcoming warmth and smiles.  After the crazy week I've had....they definitely made my Friday!  Because of Cee Cee, Johnny,  Nick,, and Cali this is, by far, my FAVORITE Freebirds location!! read more

The people here are very friendly and will make any meal built to order. I am in disagreement with the cleanliness of this location with the previous reviewer. This location seems cleaner than most freebird locations and restaurants in GV. The food is always good here and tastes fresh. Since the staff is very friendly and always wants to answer your questions, I had to ask what is the most frequently asked question? The employee said the question was if they had pot in their brownies. He sadly stated that this was TX and that there wasn't any pot on the Freebird brownies. He continued that if they did sell pot brownies they would be super busy. That interaction gave me a laugh, and will bring me back to this location. read more

Called 4-6 times and no one ever answered ("please hold while we try to connect you..." then asked for some mailbox code). Eventually went inside to pick up myself. All employees were wearing masks but I was the only patron - no signs on the doors requiring masks. My order was ready, employee said she hadn't heard the phone ringing. It's pretty hard not to love Freebirds. I've been to many many many locations and this one is just as good as the rest. Excellent food, excellent staff and a great atmosphere. The couple of times I've been to this particular location, the staff has done a good job of keeping the tables clean which is very much appreciated. I've never had a bad experience at Freebirds, I personally like it more than Chipotle, QDoba, or whatever other chains are out there. Definitely check them out! read more

I had a burrito and my husband had nachos. The Nachos: chips were some generic kind that weren't all that fresh. They do give you a big pile but if you add toppings the price starts to go up. The burrito: first of all they don't advertise organics and natural items like Chipotle and frankly the flavor of some of there fresh veggies are rather bland. I'm thinking GMO. The other issue I had was my $6.50 burrito ended up almost $12 with what I added. They even charge for a sprinkle of cheese. I was like really? I get charging for guacamole but even that you get half as much as chipotle for the same price. At one point I thought they were going to slap a "fold the tortilla into a burrito" fee. The corn on the burrito was overwhelmingly spice. The cheese was mere sprinkle for the charge. $22 for the two dishes with two items that started out at $7 each. This was my first time eating at Freebirds except for when my company caters for meetings. Going forward, that's the only time I'll be eating Freebirds. read more

Nice clean location with moderately friendly staff. They have a modest selection and it seems to work very well for them. They have several sizes of burritos, with the largest seemingly to be big enough for a group of 4. =) If you like guacamole or Queso on your burrito or burrito bowl they will nickel and dime you with upcharges. All in all it's your typical line up and make your own burrito place. Little on the pricey side but affordable every once in a while. read more

I like Freebirds. But I don't eat much at one time, so when I order a burrito I get the salsa on the side so it doesn't get soggy. Then I was charged $1.75 for the salsa in a small container. So if it had been on the burrito, it would have been free. If I hadn't been starving I would have left without eating . On this particular day the employees all seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else. These days there are Taco and burrito stands on every corner so they need to step up their game. read more

I've always heard such great things about Freebirds, but it didn't live up to the hype. Its been built up to be the greatest burrito place on the planet. It's a lot like a mix of Chipotle and Moe's. If you don't like onions, your options are limited. Staff is friendly, and place is clean. It has the biker vibe, but limited seating. The only thing keeping them from 4-5 stars, is the onions. Steak, beans, etc and it's always a big surprise (even though no other customers are in the place and there are 5 employees mulling around) and it's a cluster and long wait to get the items that someone should've been watching to insure they aren't low. That's why they only get 3 stars from me. Have had them cater events several times and its always a hit. Grapevine is the best location for catering (have catered in Grapevine, Dallas, Waco, Houston & Austin) Im a fan and will be back. Although they recently opened a Freebirds in my city (SD), I had to go all the way to Texas before I got to try this place. It's very "La Salsa"!!! Not authentic Mexican food, but generic, kinda blah quick Mexican when you're in a hurry and can't get the real thing. I like the fact that you can order burittos in sizes (small medium large and OMG!) or a salad AND they serve beer and wine. It was good, but nothing compares to REAL, authentic, Southern California Mexican food!! Plus, any restaurant that doesn't serve chilequiles or machaca isn't a place I want to frequent!! read more

Used a coupon I received via email to get $7 worth of food here for $2.99. Wowza! I am full. They have tons of options here to choose from...it is very much like Chipotle. I ordered the burrito veggie bowl which comes with everything under the sun. You have a choice of various diff tortillas (cayenne, spinach, flour just to name a few) and ether spanish or cilantro lime rice. I got the cilantro lime rice w/ black beans, onions peppers & veggies, queso, salsa, a ton of fresh cilantro and some guac on the side. The portions are a nice size and you certainly get what you pay for here. I went at lunch and the line was long but it went super fast. The Jimmy Johns of burritos and by that i mean they are freak fast. Sometimes when it's really busy they ask too many questions too fast. I always get a "how is your day going" before they start. This may sound weird, but it's one of the few places that i actually feel like they care haha. I had one friend describe the food as plain. Honestly if you make it right i don't see how it could be ever be the truth. With the options of cilantro or spanish rice, three different beans, lime juices etc... it's hard not to have something exploding with flavor. I will say the steak actually has the best explosion of flavor. Oh dang, i forgot to mention the tortilla themselves...three to choose from!!! The freebird will fill you up and not let you down. The quality and service at this location are usually lacking. During one visit, I waited in a line of 4 others for about 20 minutes while some of the staff members loafed around at the back door (saw them when I drove in). When it was my turn to order, they were out of the items I wanted and said it would be another 20 minutes. I left disappointed that they did not keep the serving line fully stocked and returned 20 minutes later. Again, only one person taking care of things behind the counter, but at least she was extremely friendly. The ground beef they recently introduced is fantastic. Signs say it's "for a limited time only", but I really hope that's because it was a test that proved successful. It's perfect for an order of nachos! I have eaten here a couple times because it is close to work. It's not half bad, and I enjoy the spice (heat) of burritos/tacos. Not sure if it's the chicken or what making it spicy but it's really good. The staff is always absolutely amazing. Really kind and helpful.
