I was referred to this office by my primary care physician. From my initial consultation to my…read morepost-op evaluation, I visited the office four times, and every single visit was prompt and on schedule. The staff was uniformly friendly, and Dr. Wakily was exceptionally helpful and clear. Every step--from scheduling and paperwork to the surgery itself and follow-up care--was handled smoothly. Thank you to Dr. Wakily and the entire team for making a procedure I'd never been through before completely smooth and stress-free.

I had hernia surgery performed several years ago at Coastal Surgeons. I've experienced pain at the…read moresurgical site every time I work out, and it recently got so bad one night that I went to urgent care. I later found out that the surgeon who performed my original procedure had retired. I called on a Wednesday to request an urgent appointment and was told they needed to obtain records from the urgent care doctor first--why couldn't their own surgeons evaluate the problem? I was promised a call back, but received nothing. When I called them back on Friday, I learned the representative I had spoken with was out sick and hadn't informed anyone about my situation. No urgent case handoff to other staff had occurred. From there, I had to deal with a rude and clueless staff member whose main goal seemed to be doing as little work as possible and rushing me off the phone. I eventually got an appointment with a different surgeon outside their practice the following week. When I asked if he needed the urgent care report, he replied, "Why? I'll make my own determination." Between the lingering pain and the thoughtless, incompetent staff, I have taken my care elsewhere. Caveat emptor.

Dr. Amory is the best! I've needed a TKR for a while now and I'm so happy Dr Amory was the one to…read moredo it. He is a no nonsense, say it how it is, with no sugar coating kind of doctor, which I greatly appreciate. BUT there was a day I was having an emotional breakdown, crying uncontrollably at a follow-up appointment and everyone from the X-ray techs, to his right hand Deanna, AND even the doctor himself showed me so much care and attention. Dr Amory definitely does have the warm fuzzies deep deep down inside, he just doesn't lead with them. So don't let his strong, Type A kind of man exterior fool you. He also answered any question I had and did not talk down to me. He explained everything so I could understand. He had the patience of a Saint! A TKR is no joke. I'm just 3 months out from it and I can't say enough thank you's to him for my beautifully perfect new knee and his right hand Deanna. She always answered my calls or at the least returned my call in a timely matter. She handled all of my crazy with kindness, from getting the forms they needed completed to answering a million questions to just being there. Dr Amory and Deanna are a team that can't be beat and I highly recommend them both. Rockstars!! First pic is the "before"and the 2nd pic is the new perfect "after" knee!!

If I could give this clinic a ZERO I would. Dr. David Amory administered my mom's cortisone…read moreinjection too fast and it caused my mom to go to the ER. My mom felt like she wanted to faint, had shortness of breath, and her face was numb- 5 min. after leaving her appt. While still at the parking lot I asked for help and the MA and the DR. did not take the time to access her/take vital signs. The doctor seemed upset that he was pulled from clinic and stated everything that she was feeling was normal (which it was not-Per ER MD). My mom was lethargic and unresponsive for about 1 min and started to vomit. (She was presenting ALL of the signs for a stroke) I told him that I didn't think it was normal and his response was "what do you want me to do? call the ambulance or do you want to drive her to the ER? it's around the corner." I stated call the ambulance she is not ok. but as I noticed the MA nor the doctor were taking this incident serious and had no empathy I decided that my mom needed to be taken to the ER-so I asked my dad to drive her since we had arrived in 2 separate cars, and I would meet them there after informing the front desk we would drive her ourselves. Not once were her vitals taken at the time of visit nor at the parking lot while she complained of shortness of breath. They made us feel like they did not care for what was happening with my mom. The only thing the MA did was provide me with a water bottle and an ice pack because I mentioned my mom felt like she was going to faint. The MD did not come outside until the 3rd time the MA grabbed him. I had to run to the front desk to inform them not to call the ambulance because we were taking her to the ER. The front desk seemed more concerned than Dr. Amory's MA and the doctor. While we were also in the room waiting for my mom to be seen before all this happened you could hear the doctor jumping from one room to another. Going back and forth seeing other patients. When he administered my moms injection he seemed like he was in a hurry-to were I even mentioned to him " wow that was super quick you are a pro". his response was " I've been doing this for a long time ". He put my moms life at risk. She was admitted to the ER because he did not administered the injection correctly. The ER could not get her BP to go up, it was very low. She developed a fever, severe stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Her white blood count was very high and her troponin levels were high as well. She also developed an infection due to the injection. She fainted again in the ER and was lethargic and weak. The admitting doctor stated this was all due to the cortisone injection that was not administered correctly. It was injected into her blood stream. If I would have listened to the doctor saying " it was normal" and I would have taken my mom home. My mom wouldn't be here with us now. He put my moms life at risk and did not care. All of this is very upsetting because this was negligence at all levels and malpractice. Dr. Amory's actions show how inhumane he can be and how he does not care for his patients. He is very unprofessional and has no empathy. As a medical professional you want to make sure you treat your patient and you want to be sure to access your patients when they are not feeling well, not assume "it's normal" when clearly things are not normal. HE took my moms medical emergency very irresponsibly and did nothing to make sure my mom was ok. on the contrary he was bothered that he was called outside to "help" (which he did not do). He had an attitude and made me feel like he did not care. To end my note- I requested my moms medical records and most of the things he wrote on my moms medical record are not true. His statement is false when he states he discussed " Different options were discussed with the patient" no options were discussed. He also states in his note "staff and myself went out to the car to assess the patient" "she was breathing normally...We called 911 to have an ambulance brought. We did give vital signs to 911 operator. We noticed that the patient, however, was leaving. The patient and her family drove off in a car" This is all false. He never assessed my mom and vital signs were never taken during or after presenting complications- what vital signs were given? if no vitals were taken by him nor MA at all?? Lastly we left in 2 separate cars because my dad drove my mom there and I met my mom there to translate. How did we leave in one car? The front desk was notified by me that we were leaving because they took forever to call an ambulance for my mom. As a doctor you assess your patient! Why do you have to ask your patient or her family if we want him to call an ambulance knowing well enough your patient was unresponsive with stroke symptoms? As a Doctor-all of this is wrong at all levels and is unacceptable. I will not be taking my mom to this location ever again. He should not be a doctor if he is not following his OATH as a Doct

When I lived in Oceanside, CA my Hometown for 33 years, On…read morean occasional Basis, I would be referred out to Tri-City Medical Center from my Primary Care Doctor to get two different Surgeries on my left leg due to I contracted a DVT in my left leg due to a Estrogen Medication that was recommended to me by my younger sister to make my Bones Stronger. My younger sister isn't a physician I didn't know the devastating impact her decision would have on my health at that time period. I decided to take this Estrogen Medication called Prempro for (one year and a half) then I stopped taking this Medication because this Prempro caused me to contract a severe DVT means a (Deep Venous Thrombosis) in my Left Leg. I contacted Dr. Richard Saxon who is a Certified Radiologist who specializes in the Stenting process of inserting Stents in both my Right and Left Groin Area inside my body. Dr. Richard Saxon performed this Stenting Surgical procedure for the First Time on my Left Leg. My Stenting Procedure was very successful. I was his First Recipient. Also the Tri-City Radiologist Group has an amazing collection of physicians who I had a few procedures done with Dr. Donald Ponec who had inserted a IVC Filter in my Left Iliac Vein to keep my vein open on a permanent basis to prevent any New Blood Clots from traveling up to my Heart . Also Dr. Justin Gooding performed a similar procedure on the same left leg and this procedure was very successful with excellent results. I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to these Doctors at Tri- City Medical Center.

During my visit, I experienced excessive wait times, poor communication, lack of follow-up, staff behavior. What was most concerning was lack of communication. I understand that hospitals can be busy and that healthcare professionals work under significant pressure. However, patients and families deserve clear communication, respect, and timely care. In my case, I had to wait 3 days for an MRI after that their wasn't a care plan to follow up. I had to advocate for myself for proper treatment. I am sharing this feedback not simply to complain, but in the hope that management will review these concerns and take steps to improve the patient experience. I would appreciate having someone from leadership contact me to discuss this matter further. Thank you for your attention.
