A home inspection was made and the inspector called immediately afterwards to give me the finding. He wasn't sure they could do the work needed and said he would need to talk to his boss. Even though dead rats were found no attempt was made to dispose of them nor were any entry ways looked for and closed up to my knowledge. I waited two days for an answer to whether or not they could do the work before I called for a status report. No one was an available to give me an answer. I waited an additional 10 days before I asked again. This time I got a written answer with no suggestions on who could help me as I was told by the inspector. He said if they couldn't do the work then they would refer me to someone who could. Had high hopes that they could help. They indicated it would cost a lot of money to do the work but they never let me determine if it was more than I was willing to pay. read more

I hired Active Pest Control January 2023 to deal with a rat infestation in my garage. I was told by Edward that they'd seal up my house and kill any rats remaining. I paid $1,575.00 expecting to be done with rats. Unfortunately, they only sealed a few holes and left the rest wide open. During the year of my warranty they continued to come and go, trapping rats here and there, but they never sealed my house off. I've included a picture in which they attempted to seal a gap, but left about an inch between the wire mesh and the wood. I've had to seal holes they left wide open with spray foam because the wall has become a rat highway. I've been speaking with someone named Ray I believed to be a supervisor. We had an appointment for today, 05/28/2024, but Ray was a no show no call. read more

These guys are awesome. My parents house has been dealing with rodents for years and it desperately needed to be dealt with. After contacting them , Van came out and did an inspection. The next day they came out and immediately began working on sealing up the entry points , setting traps, and sanitizing areas of rodent activity. ***UPDATE - After posting my review, APC contacted me and sent someone to repair the damage. He was very nice, and worked with me to repair the pergola to an acceptable level. He had to come back since it rained in between, and it looks much better now. They did break a glass garden ornament while here, but I guess things happen. I wish it hadn't been necessary in the first place, but I do appreciate them working to fix the issue. ***** ORIGINAL REVIEW I hired Active Pest Control to come treat my house for termites in June 2023. Rodney came on time and seemed pretty knowledgeable about some damage areas I had - for example, one area which I thought was evidence of termites was actually fungus that had grown under an eave due to a roof leak. Several other termite companies had looked at that and no one took the time to tell me what it was. So that part was great. Treatment was fine - timely, reasonably priced, etc. The problem came during the repair phase. I had them replace a beam on a pergola in the backyard - one that I had personally rebuilt from the ground up. I also built a new pergola on the side of the house. I'm not a carpenter, but I know what I'm doing. I thought a termite repair company would be able to match the work quality, but they did not. As you can see from pics, they blasted through the top rails, splitting the ends of them, and didn't repair or replace those. They also did a pretty terrible job replacing the beam - they put it an inch or two away from the structure and just attached it there and filled the gap with caulk, which needless to say is already cracked, split, and coming apart. These guys may know a ton about termites, but they do not know much about woodworking or construction (or maybe they just don't care). Now I have to rebuild a whole section of that pergola AGAIN which is infuriating. I have a two year old and an infant with special needs and I don't have time to do this work all over again. I guess I have to hire someone to come in and fix what they destroyed. Proceed with caution if you need any wood repair from this company. read more
