I think every home owner should call these guys and have them come and clean air ducks and heating system! Guys are honest, hard working, do details very responsible work. Jared came on During the weekend to relive dead rat from under the house - and then they came on Monday morning to clean the whole system. My aged house had some weird smell when the heat was on, so I was looking for a reliable professional to help clean the furnace and air duct. Jared was the one who's responsive and knowledgeable in fixing the issues! He arrived on time and spent several hours cleaning every single vent and the furnace with care and attention to details. We had Jared clean our house air ducts on Jan 19th, and they really needed it. We have no idea when they were last cleaned, but the rapid build-up of dust we were experiencing indicated that it been quite a few years. What a difference it made. Jared arrived exactly when promised, and he spent almost 6 hours cleaning every duct, including the dryer vent. He took great care by wearing a face mask during his entire visit. He moved furniture when required to access vents. He took great care to ensure he did not create any mess wherever he worked. ACT came out to my house in Ballard and cleaned the ducts and reconnected a bunch of ducting that was no longer attached to the registers. I have been under the house a few times and the space is very limited in some areas. After they finished I went under the house for some other projects, but did check out the work. Everything was great. The house had been empty for a while with construction going on and the ducts had accumulated a fair amount of debris. After ACT did the work and helped me fire up the furnace, there were no clouds of sheetrock dust blowing all over. I was pretty happy. I also appreciated that they helped me fire up the furnace. The owner, Jared, came out to my rental house in Maple Valley to inspect and clean the air ducts that had a rodent problem recently solved. A flex tube air duct was repaired and the total air duct system cleaned, pressure tested, and had BioFresh applied. Amazingly honest, he was sad to report that the company that solved the rodent problem did not clean out & replace the vapor barrier in the crawl space to legal code. He even wrote this on my invoice and suggested I contact them to give them a chance to bring this job to code. I am really glad I called a number of different companies first before reading the ACT reviews and hiring them. Beware of the companies offering coupons or great discounts.Found out once they are at your house they discover "problems," that will cost hundreds of $ to remedy. There were several companies where the person answering the phone had a Russian accent, couldn't answer technical questions, had several layers of pricing and just wanted to make an appointment. Later learned they have poorly trained sub-contractors who try to add on unneeded services. Jarrod is the owner/operator of ACT. This company performed air duct and dryer vent cleaning services at our 3,200 square-foot home for a very fair price. They performed the work in a very professional and thorough manner and the outcome was very satisfying. We couldn't be happier! They removed all front panels and cleaned every square inch of the interior of our natural gas furnace and heat exchanger for the heat pump. They cleaned the main plenum and every side-duct (including those under built-in cabinetry), and even cleaned the floor and ceiling grills with spray cleaner! They likewise cleaned the return-air ducts and grills. They thoroughly cleaned our extra-long dryer vent, running the compressed-air hose through it multiple times to ensure free-flow performance. At the end of their visit, they completely cleaned the debris that resulted from their work. I've been around building trades workers for a long time, and have rarely witnessed a pair as meticulous and exacting as the ACT crew. I will have them return in the future in a heartbeat to clean them again when the time comes! read more

I was shocked! The previous cleaner stuffed large sponges in the vents. Not Jared! He took a suction hose with an attachment & inserted it in each vent. He was polite, professional & didn't try to upsell me on additional services. He cleaned the area well afterwards. He sprayed some deodorant/sterilizer in the furnace which is safe & is used on food. I can not say enough nice things about him & am recommending him to my daughter. I found out what "real" vent cleaning is supposed to be.
