The Roscomare Valley Association has been with ACS Security as a company for over seven years. I was the Vice President when the decision was made in 2002-3 after interviewing 7 companies. Reasons: LOCAL PRESENCE IN BEL AIR AND good realtionship with LAPD West LA. Honest and reliable owner who is down to earth. The Los Angeles Pioneer in Camera Gating a whole community for security. ACS is also dedicated to disaster prevention and assistance in partnership with local community associations and will work with customers to upgrade inherited and inadequate security systems. The people they hire are well vetted and trained and will help you with mail and newspapers when you are on vacation. They have two basic services; Monitoring of alarms and armed patrol. They are licensed for both and can do either. They make no attempt to be the cheapest, just the best at a good value. That is why I have given them 5 stars. I am stingy with these stars. read more

We are very lucky to have Vincent Espinoza as our sales rep, who is efficient and has a rarely found technician background. We had an existing system from another company and Vincent thoroughly examined our system at his first visit, which helped us save big money. He also actively followed up on scheduling etc., and made sure we were taken good care of. Our trust with ACS starts with our trust with Vincent! read more

Once in a while one of these f*ckers will pull up really close to me while I'm out for a late night jog in Beverlywood and literally blind me with their lights. Extremely rude. I'm jogging. Leave me alone. You're clearly checking me out. read more

Highly recommend ACS - especially technician, Damian S. Years after installation, we were having problems with glitchy sensors. Damian arrived on time, figured out the problems and then quickly and efficiently got to work. He was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all my questions. Now the equipment is working as good as new. Thank you Damian! read more

ACS finally came by my home on the 21st to discuss the car break in, and I was questioned why I even called them since they don't file a report. I replied that I thought it was important information for them to know in regards to break ins in the area...and that common RING footage may be helpful (at least three car break ins happened that night). Anyway, today I received a bill for $25 for a "home visit". SERIOUSLY? Ummmm....yeah. I'm not paying this ACS. read more

I recently set up a security system in my home with ACS. I would like to thank my representative - Vanessa Polanco for answering a million questions I asked and making sure that all my concerns were addressed about what type of a system I needed. I can't thank you enough for your time and your diligence. The system was set up by Anthony Patrick, a really great technician that knows everything about these systems. He did the install very efficiently and gave me all the information that I needed to know. I've had an amazing experience working with you guys and really appreciate all your hard work! I recommend anyone working with ACS to work with Vanessa and Anthony. THANK YOU! read more

We had issues with our previous alarm company and switched to ACS. Jasmine Pambakian has been terrific as a representative and Damian Swanson is the best service technician we have ever used. Damian figured out a sensor issue that no one else could before him. I highly recommend him as he didn't leave until he figured out everything. He stayed for over three hours and we are super appreciative. read more

Just had my house all set up with ACS system and it couldn't have been easier. Vasil Halchev helped me figure out what I needed with great recommendations and didn't push anything i didn't need or want. I would 120% recommend ACS. Vasil's number is (818)207.0027 and is very responsive and wonderful to work with. I hope I don't need to use them but I feel very safe with them in case I ever do. read more

We switched to ACS security for our home a few months ago and we couldn't be happier. The representative, Claudia came to our house and answered all of our questions and she made great suggestions and helped us every step of the way and made sure we were happy and every thing worked properly. She was always available for consultation and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend it. read more

Once I left home without closing my door securely , they called me and I didn't notice it and they sent a security guard to my home . I went home after about half an hour I saw a guard checking around my home and he stayed with me until I went inside and checked everything is fine and he left. Very trust worthy service . read more

Service calls are being returned after few days, patrol does not do their job, took much ( longer 20+ minutes ) for the guard to arrive at the scene of the brake in. read more

Just worked with Vasil Halchev his number is 8182070027. He was great and very helpful.

I am totally pleased with the security system ACS installed this week. My ACS concierge, Jasmine Pambakian, listened carefully to my needs, analyzed them thoughtfully and proposed just the right solution. And she was always prompt in returning my calls/emails. Having a personal rep who knows the situation makes a difference. The ACS technician, Alex T., was not only brilliant in siting and installing the equipment but also incredibly patient and clear in explaining everything to me, making sure before he left that I understood how to use it. The two-way talking ability of the motion detector video-cameras was an unexpected plus. Am impressed with ACS and very happy with the results. read more

Rick Navarro was great thru the whole process of our alarm upgrade. He was able to guide us thru several options based on our needs. The installation team very professional and courtesy. The whole process from our initial consultation until installation took only 5 days. Would recommend him to anyone -LK read more

I personally have met with this company, contracted them for a small neighborhood in Sherman Oaks and seen them perform. I looked at the places they already have dedicated patrol and neighbors say crime is down. Patrol is a perfect deterrent to crime. ACS has home alarm systems and they offer armed dedicated patrol. Each time I have called the operator answered on the first ring and the patrol showed up in minutes. Sadly the police department is not growing with the density of LA and so Neighborhoods must hire private armed patrol for their needs. I pay in order to have armed response whenever I want it or need it. Help us just a phone call away. Thank you ACS. read more

Our home was already wired for ACS service but the hardware hadn't been updated in quite some time. I called ACS and was put in touch with Rick Navarro to discuss what our options would be. I let him know that I was just interested in pricing and had other projects around the house that would take priority over this upgrade and he was totally accommodating. He provided a quote that was reasonable but I just wasn't ready to start this work. Fast forward about 8 months and I reached back out to Rick and he immediately responded letting me know he would honor the original quote and could get an installer out ASAP to begin the work. I agreed and ACS's installer Tony was out about a week later upgrading our system with the latest and greatest. Everything went smoothly during install but the next day one of the glass break detectors went offline and was causing a beeping from the panels every few minutes. I texted Rick (he is super responsive) and he had Tony out the next day to replace the sensor and get the system back up. I'm not here to say that everyone needs a security system or they stop crime from happening but for me this system gives some additional piece of mind and working with Rick and Tony has been incredibly easy and both have been very responsive. If you happen to be looking at security monitoring companies I think giving ACS and Rick specifically a call is a good option. read more

We just changed our security monitoring from another provider to ACS. I felt compelled to compliment Vasil Halchev on his service and professionalism. He came to our door to present the ACS options and we were not ready to make the change so he gave us some time and followed up with respect and more information. When we made the decision to switch he walked me through everything and we were done in less than 30 minutes. We get the equipment installed today and he already reached out to let me know he is going to stop by. If ACS is half as good as the folks they employ this is a great decision. read more

I was extremely disappointed that Raphael tried to sell me a two year term when we already have an existing Honeywell system and 90% of the necessary hardware. We never had a term with our current alarm company. Because we paid for the hardware up front. It's kind of ridiculous that they are trying to get customers to commit to a 2 year term. If the service is actually good (which I've heard it might be) customers will stay. And when they all they have to do is come by the house for an hour to check the panel this sales pitch of a mandatory term seems lazy and predatory. And not very consumer friendly. read more

They have been by several times trying to sell me in their protection racket. The salesman informed me that there had been a rash of burglaries in the neighborhood. He rambled on for an uncomfortable length of time. Finally, he left. I looked up police activity in my area and found there has been zero burglaries this month. They use lies and fear to sell their product. Don't fall for it. read more

1 -The frequent sight of the yellow ACS suvs patrolling stopped as soon as ACS had signed up 45% of our neighborhood. 2 - We had an incident late one holiday night where we had a house sitter who set the alarm off. I got an 11:59 text that the alarm was going-off followed by a call from the house-sitter asking for help - I repeated the code to the house-sitter who entered it several more times. The house-sitter was entering the code incorrectly - I called ACS and requested help. Long story short - ACS first sent a patrol 'officer' who lacked the competence to access the panel control, disconnect the backup battery and reset the system. When ACS sent someone with the necessary skills and finally silenced the alarm, it was nearly 1am. I called later that day to complain - their response was that it was a holiday and they didn't have full staffing... ! 3 - Basic alarm monitoring is competent (aside from the above) and ACS does respond immediately when the alarm is accidentally tripped. ACS was also willing nad able to update our system to a more modern system without issue - something that ADT was completely uninterested in doing. 4- As others have noted, the contract is particularly onerous. I will ask an attorney to review it. At this point, I will not renew it. read more

The ADT nightmare is over-ACS not only fulfills the necessary alarm and security needs, they over compensate because they know former ADT customers are badly damaged already-just from the relationship. I had one of the guys who is constantly in the neighborhood, and, here the entire block has switched to ACS due to our proximity to the freeways, and the ease this neighborhood allows for the average to deft criminal types-we have had over 100 incidents within 1 square mile in the last 30 days. This was so troubling, nights became days, sleepless and overly concerning. The man who came here was SO knowledgeable we started discussing potential-I told him I wanted to wait for the install (went very well) and the system for a week in action. Noting all, this process of switching, easy, fast, and so much more confidence now-I'd like to explain to each of you even mildly interested by phone, if you like, or private email, just how necessary this is today. I also have a special coupon code he is preparing for all referrals by my company, which refers leads as a free public service to all contractors, subs, and general service excellence in Los Angeles and surrounding areas-contact me for the coupon to save BIG dollars on install (no charge) and your rates; as for the contract-it is completely on the level, with a clause now built in for a one year release if not satisfied. At ADT they offered a money back guarantee at 6 months, they refused to honor it, as even their install was horrible-so to all of you even slightly hesitating let me put you at ease-I am an Independent Contractor, representing the finest to our fine city, and not related or employed by anyone at ACS or any of our vendor database. Simply drop me a note here, or at any of my contacts and mention "ACS Yelp posting" to proceed-you won't be sorry, you'll be delighted-we cannot over emphasize the need for proper armed security in today's world of very unhappy and criminal elements roaming our streets. Protection is peace of mind, a 2 minute response time? The best available, and armed and ready... Be Well..... read more

We have had a good experience with ACS & it's because of the people. Sales consultant, Stefan Hahn, was professional and fair. He didn't try to upsell me as others did. Next, we *did* have an issue one night (turned out to be a false alarm) but the police didn't come. It really scared me until a manager, Guillermo Vega, explained what had happened that ngiht. Guillermo & did right by us. Thanks to both of you we are staying with ACS. read more

I don't normally give reviews unless a person in business has gone above and beyond and deserves a shoutout. We had a home invasion 10 days ago, and I called ACS (our current monitoring service and alarm company), and asked for the best alarm consultant to look at our current security system. They sent Lori Downey Jr. I can't say enough about her knowledge, kindness, professionalism, and all round amazing consultant. She knows what she is doing and she won't leave you unless she knows you are feeling safe and continues to follow-up after the new system is up and running. Thank you Lori for standing by us in a time of extreme stress. You are amazing, and I will continue to recommend you to my friends and family. read more

Horrible service. I am a current customer. Constant false alarms at late hours w/ guards waking family. Very hard to get good customer service and repairs after a contract is signed. Waking me up in the middle of the night is so far is their only answer. read more

Unfortunately....this company does a poor job overall. 1. Been paying for armed patrol who is supposed to be driving by my house daily...I've have learned they've not driven by in months. When I tell them to cancel the patrol....they tell me it will take a month to process. BS....now I'm paying for yet another month and not getting anything for it. 2. There's been a constant beeping from a key pad...walking us up at night....after 3 requests...no one has called back or come to fix it. Probably because I pay additional $ each month so if anything isn't working correctly they'll come out and fix for free. I'm sure if I didn't have that service and had to pay additional $$ to have them come out....it would already have been fixed. 3. As I write this...so far I've been on hold for 19 minutes waiting to speak with George. Even ADT does a better job read more

Vincent Espinoza is hands down the best! He def knows his stuff and helped us create a security plan that was absolutely reasonable in price and fully comprehensive. Really appreciated his sincerity and helpfulness. Not only did he show up on the day of install to make sure everything went smoothly, he got there early! I had a million questions throughout the process and he is always super fast to respond. Extremely satisfied with him and ACS! read more

Their sales rep said the cost of their monitoring + patrol service is $90 / month. What they did not tell me, and it is only in fine print on the back of the contract, is that I am locked into a 2-year contract without any ability to cancel. If I cancel, I have to pay the entire remaining amount -- $90 for each month all the way up to 2 years. I would be ok with this if you were transparent and clarified this upfront. But you did not. So beware, you're not signing up for $90 / month, you're signing up to give this company 24 months x $90 = $2160. The moment you sign up you are agreeing to pay them that amount and there's no way out. read more

My experience with ACS began when a very cocky salesman named Durwin, came to our home to provide an estimate. The intended meeting regarding our needs assessment was second to him focusing on the sleeves of his arms to make sure his muscles stood out. He proceeded to tell us about all of the things he himself has done and does personally and professionally regarding safety. He proceeded to belittle ADT as we were looking to make a switch by disregarding putting down their services and telling us our money is as good as wasted. When asked why ACS was better, his response was better service. One shocking comment made was him saying that people price comparing was not an important part of making a decision, and that their clientele is dominantly based in Beverly Hills and Bel Air as well as covering surrounding areas. Durwin also made a comment that they do not want the business of people not wanting to pay the premium for services. Professionalism? None whatsoever. In his pitch, he promoted armed patrol (with his personal stories to validate reasoning) and emphasized how well our area of Sherman Oaks is covered compared to ADT's service. We subscribed to the patrol service for a variety of reasons yet never seeing a patrol vehicle in the area, only parked at a local gas station with several other ACS vehicles. When I called to follow up, the response from ACS was that the response time in our area was the fastest due to where we are located. The neighbors on our street that also have ACS have either never seen an ACS vehicle on our street or have cancelled it for lack of value. We were advised to do random testing to make sure our services were transmitting properly and upon doing so, never once received a call from ACS to follow up on the alarm. Customer service- I have called in numerous times to speak with someone regarding our account and reached voicemails several times, whether calling in or being transferred. I also attempted to cancel the patrol service months ago as it proved to be ineffective (despite the growing number of crimes in our immediate area) yet have been charged every month. When I first spoke with the billing department, I asked what the issue was told there was a change in ownership and some records were not correct. ***updated after reading previous reviews*** Phone messages were never returned timely if at all. I called months ago to cancel guard service yet am still being charged for it. The billing department tells me that they have no record of me doing so. PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS, INCLUDING GOOGLE. Chris is super nice and helpful :) I guess we accidentally cancelled patrol and forgot but he still had someone come over to check out an alarm that went off while we were not home. I always see the ACS patrol cars and have happily had the service for years after a few attempted break ins. read more
