I was in the area of Palmer and wanted to try their tuna fish as I heard wonderful things about it from the lady next door to the restaurant at the Brusos Liqor store as she gets it all the time. Well I asked for a sample first and was sold. It's made with love and nothing special but uses high quality tuna (white). It's definitely worth to try it if you're in the area as I love my tuna melts and similar to them. The only down part is it only excepts cash no credit cards. There is a ATM on premises. I stopped in last week for my first time to this pizza shop. My first notice was that the man behind the counter was kind & funny. I didn't get his name but by talking and listening to the other worker I know this was the Owner. He was quite pleasant, as was the other man when I explained it was my first go there. He graciously gave me coupons for my next visit. I do love dessert so I'm starting there. On the counter they sell baklava, THUD! it was delish! I wished afterwards I'd bought 2 but my daughter NEVER likes this desert! But she liked the looks of it and .... ate half of mine! We ordered a cheese pizza and I loveeeeed the crust. Yummy, doughy inside with a nice crunchy crust bite. My preferred way. The pizza smelled wonderful and I loved the old time pizza joint smell from my youth instead of those new wire wracks that take a swirl through an oven. The pizza was delish, crust, sauce, and the cheese was perfectly bubbly and melted. My only... pointer, not complaint, to me it was a bit salty. I don't know if it's the mozzarella cheese? The sauce? The dough? BUT not enough for me to say we won't go back and try something else. Heck my taste buds could have been off that week ‍ A note also if you've not been before, it is a CASH only business. Been there before, usually good. Last night got a grinder and fries. By the time I got home and started eating it, they were closing. I got halfway thru each and found GRAY HAIR. There's an older man that made my grinder, with grey and white hair. I just called to let them know. The younger guy answered, I assume the son who was also there last night. I said: " Hi I was there last night ordered a lg. Grinder and fries and I found grey hair in fries and on grinder." He replied: "ok, I don't know what you want me to do about that, but thanks for letting me know.". I said: "maybe, hairnets?!". Silence.... I said: "thanks for fixing it!" And hung up..... I have eaten a hell of a lot of pizza in my 64 years of life. I have had pizza in Rome (Italy, not New York), Germany, New York, Boston and all over. This is the first time we have ordered from Acropolis Pizza and was very impressed. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. It was ready a little early and when I got it into the car I could tell by the smell I was in for a treat. It was cooked to perfection: no carbon on the crust, the cheese and pepperoni were of the highest quality and the edge crust was crunchy yet fluffy. The restaurant and staff were clean. I am not saying I have never had a better pizza (Rome has really the best), but this pizza was the best we have had in Hampden county and far beyond. Tip: They only take cash. We came here on our drive through this small town. It's a nice cute restaurant with amazing food! They had social distancing as well as fine in even with COVID. We ordered the small pizza of the day, some garlic bread, and a pasta with marinara sauce. The staff were friendly and this was a great place to stop! read more

Poor customer service, the cashier that they have as a wanna-be cook is very rude paraded restaurant and unprofessional.

Sometimes good, sometimes not so good. If you catch them on a good day the pizza is excellent. If it is an off day the pizza sucks. They are stuck in the 20th century and don't accept credit or debit cards. read more

Stopped in with a few friends and we split a pizza, grinder, and salad. Everything was so delicious. We ordered a combo pizza, a chicken cutlet, and a Greek salad. The chicken on the cutlet was very tasty (I am picky with chicken) and the house Greek dressing was so good I dipped my grinder ends in the dressing. To top it off the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was super clean. They don't take cards but conveniently there is an ATM In the store. Will be back! read more

My son went with his grandfather to pickup four pizzas for takeout around 2:00pm. We think he dropped an AirPod in front of restaurant accidentally which we did not realize until returning to our home about 7:00pm. Called restaurant at 7:15 several times and no one picked up even though hours state they are open until 8:00pm. Closed Sundays. Just called to inquire if the AirPod was found and was told no. Woman rudely rushed me off the phone ( after saying goodbye several times) and would not really even listen to what I was saying. It is not their fault item was lost but they could have been more helpful. Very disappointing experience... pizza was ok but customer service a zero! It's no surprise that this page does not have a place to rate as most businesses do. read more

Acropolis is, without a doubt, one of the best (if not the best) pizza joints in the Palmer/Ware area. Every time we visit my mother-in-law in Palmer, we have to get Acropolis! The pizza is wicked good. With some places it is hit or miss, but Acropolis seems to always be great. I have had better fillings in other places (not many), but the crust alone keeps me coming back! It is hard to describe-- almost sweet-- but once you try it, you'll "get it". I also can never go wrong with a pastrami grinder. Many places serve pastrami in big slices (which may be how some people like it?), but the pastrami from Acropolis is always shredded perfectly, and each piece is like a grilled masterpiece. One of the only downsides is that this is a cash only place. I actually think this is the only place I consistently go to, where I have to have cash on me. They do have an ATM inside, but it always comes with a fee. So come with cash or be prepared to take cash out. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. read more

The Pizza was ok. My kids liked it. The first thing I noticed is how they like to hang around the prep area and smoke. Then i was notified that they don't take credit cards and are cash only.. Growing up we always went to Tivoli or Vinny's, but Tivoli's closed (but maybe re-opened judging by the review on yelp, I haven't been back to Three Rivers in awhile) and Vinny's quality went downhill after the original guys (owners?) stopped making the pizza. Acropolis was always the third choice back then, along with Apollo...but Acropolis today is leaps and bounds above the rest. read more

I had been a loyal customer for more than a decade. Really only their pizza was good. I ordered a brocolli chicken pizza with white sauce on memorial day. As I ate the first 2 slices it didn't taste good. I realized the next day it was because they put red sauce on it. I called and attempted to speak with the owner, he was yelling at me for not calling the night before when they were already closed early. I kept telling him I ordered it as usual with white sauce and he kept saying light sauce, when I finally got that through his head, he continues to yell and say what did I expect him to do about it, I told him I wanted what I ordered and paid for. He refused, even though it had been his mistake. I then started to tell him I had been a loyal customer and before I finished he hung up on me. The owner is mlma Greek guy with a heavy accent. I went in the next day and the staff was unhelpful. I am shocked and angry by the way I had been treated. I gave them the pizza back because it was disgusting and told them myself and everyone else I know will never do business with them ever again. read more

Acropolis is the place to get pizza in Palmer. It's actually, the BEST pizza place in Palmer. The crust is the best, it's perfect. It's the perfect balance of buttery and flaky with an outstanding crunch. God I love it! The only one downsize is you must keep in mind it's a cash only place. So, if you're not prepared, you'll have to use the ATM there that charges like $5.00 to your account. So you'll definitely need to bring cash. Also, their pastrami grinders are the BOMB! I prefer Greek Pizza to Italian (Don't tell my husband, who's Italian ;)) But in all seriousness, if you're looking for a good Greek Pizza place that knows what they are doing, Acropolis is it! read more

Great crust, not too thin and not too doughy and the sauce is really delicious! Prices are appropriate and location is easy to find. We won't be ordering pizza from anywhere else! read more
