Tacos De Pescado
Lizzie Y.

Acitron Cocina Mexicana... a must visit Mexican restaurant in Arlington! Located on Mass Ave, they have lots of meter street parking spots. We went today, on a Sunday, and were able to snatch a spot with ease for dinner, + free street parking Sundays. It was pretty busy on a Sunday night but luckily didn't have to wait for a table. The service was great, someone filling waters every few minutes. What we ordered: -tacos de pescado (fish tacos) with rice + elote $24 -choice of 3 tacos: Al pastor, chile verde, & carne estofada w/ rice + elote $22 Within less than five minutes after we ordered, our food was ready and arrived at our table. So quick! My favorite taco that I tried tonight was for sure the fish tacos. Great flavor and loved everything about it. Only thing I can think of that would've made the meal slightly more enjoyable was if the rice was more hot (arrived warming cold) & if meats were more hot. Other than that, I enjoyed my experience here at Acitron Cocina Mexicana! Highly recommend!

First off, beautiful little spot, bustling! Service is A1 thumbs up and thank you for such great service from start to finish. Waters always filled, food was prepared FAST. Yes we did opt for tacos tonight for a Sunday date night! The lady ordered the fish tacos and i must say out of all the styles we tried that was my favorite, pickled cabbage, crispy fish, great tasting with the sauce they got for it! The other tacos we got were al pastor with pineapple, chile verde and carne estofada, out of those the Al pastor was best imo. I did wish the meats and rice etc were hotter, everything came out pretty room / temp or slightly cold. (Not sure if it's supposed to be like that). The elote corn on cob had a nice char, good flavor and i really enjoyed that! The rice wasn't hot but it had tomato flavor and was soft and easy to eat with the tacos. Would come back again, nice date night atmosphere. Prices for most dishes were about $24+ and noticed tables around us, many ordered the shrimp dish might have to try that next time! Will be back to try other dishes!

This place was a refreshing surprise during our trip to Boston. From the service to the taste and flavor. This is such a cute little local spot in Watertown. You can tell the place is gonna be good when you have their chips and salsa. If you get that right then we're off to a good start. Mexican flavors on the fajitas were spot on . They were accommodating to our group with two toddlers. Checked in on us and made sure the kids were okay as well

Always good - hard to believe it's in Arlington. Check out the heated outdoor patio too.

I wanted a margarita tonight and wanted to try a different Mexican restaurant. So I looked this one up, had lots of stars and decided to try it. Oh and I am so glad I did! I started with the house margarita, because I've had a busy week. Well it was tasty! Satisfied my thirst. Next, I looked at the food and I saw lots of choices on the menu. I ordered fajitas, with chicken and you choose sides like rice, pinto beans, black beans or corn on the cobb. I could have had another meat or shrimp but I chose chicken. They do bring you chips and salsa, and the salsa was really good. When my meal came, it looked good. I tasted it and I was blown away! Okay, I did feel good with the margarita, but the food was very tasty and well made! With the rice, they bring sour cream, salsa. Everything was very good. Oh and the corn, out of this world! You must try it. My daughter had the fish tacos, and she had corn on the Cobb and rice. She was very pleased. Very tasty tacos. It's small inside but very nicely decorated. The waitstaff are friendly. For a Thursday night, it was busy. They also have a nice dinning area outside. I peaked and it's cute! I am so glad I found this place. I will return. You must try it. You can thank me later! Oh I will come back and tell my friends. This is a hidden gem that awaits your arrival!

A cost spot in Arlington. Reservations are needed. The food and drinks were at par. The service was exceptional.

Hands down the best Mexican food in the Boston area. Service is always amazing from the host to servers. My favorite is the fish tacos! The hot sauce served with it so sooo spicy and delicious. Margaritas are yummy and strong. The portion sizes are huge for such a decent price. They do get busy on weekends so highly recommend making a reservation!

Acitron Margarita

My new favorite Mexican restaurant. Their classic Acitron margarita is my go-to. Their fish tacos--a must! The sauce with the slaw and the fish, perfection. Paired with their corn and rice, holy moly. Sooo flavorful and generous portions. I looooove this place.

Chicken enchiladas

The food was good but overall it was a bit bland and didn't have much flavor. You could get something better for a cheaper price elsewhere. I'm glad I tried it and the restaurant was very cute and they have a nice patio out back. I'd go back but get something different, but I just thought the food lacked flavor.

Chips and salsa

Great value in the food. Really big portions. The interior is nice with ample seating. Tables are close together though. Waitstaff was awesome. Super polite. Attentive. Absolutely stellar. The chips and salsa were my favorite part. The chips were so good and fresh. They must make them in house. They are hot and crispy. The salsa has depth. It's dark and rich. Please come for the chips. I highly regret not getting the guacamole. My mistake. Ceviche with shrimp was good. Super refreshing with citrus and vinegar. Definitely light and delicious. Needs a little kick. This dish is so light and very nice to cleanse your taste buds. Ample portion for table sharing. The chicken tinga tacos were very heavy with a vinegar flavor. It might have been the mole. I'm not certain. They were more tangy than spicy. Not bad, but not my preferred. The elote was barely warm and the roasted flavor was not detectable, again hidden by a vinegar flavor. Alot of tangy without any spice. The food all looks beautiful. When i go back I'll definitely order something different. I highly suggest the guacamole as I saw it on another table and was jealous. Overall this place is really good. There's much to try but they really nailed the chips and salsa. I could eat baskets of it. Also saw the taquitos on another table. They looked good too..

Interesting Mexican, fresh chips, and tasty entrees. The mole sauce could've been better, so try something else. Other, worth a try.

It was such a cute hidden area, and I was already excited before we even got to the place. We headed upstairs into the bar, and the vibe was perfect. It's small, cozy, dimly lit, with vibey music playing. Since it was our first time, we were a little confused at first, but the waiter was super kind and walked us through everything. I ordered the Elly the Elephant and my friend got the Laughing Gull, and we both really enjoyed our drinks. One thing I thought was really nice is that they allow you to grab food from the surrounding restaurants and bring it in to eat there. We didn't end up doing that, but we did get the charcuterie board they had. It came with cheeses, crackers, and some fruit, and you can add meats for $10, which we opted out for. I will say I was a little disappointed by the fruit portion. The menu mentioned fresh fruit, so I expected more than three thin orange slices and one sliced strawberry. HOWEVER, when I asked for more strawberries, our waiter kindly brought out a whole bowl for me, which I really appreciated. We stayed for about two hours, and as the night went on the place definitely got more crowded, so we headed out. Overall, this is such a cute and cozy cocktail bar. I'll definitely be back when the weather is warmer to try the other drinks and restaurants in the market.

So fun! I'd imagine it's poppin in the summer/on a warm night. I just went to Nook (located upstairs once you're in Bow Market) and it's such a vibe! They've got an extensive drink menu, a couch area to lounge on, high tables and bar seating, cool interior design, and dim lighting. I mean the ambiance is there. Highly recommend the fruity drink! I forget the exact name but the bartender suggested it to me, and it was from the "West" menu page.

The interior was dimly lit with exposed brick walls and sports on the TV screens. For drinks, I chose the 1, 2, 3, 4 mocktail. This was one of the best mocktails of my life! The refreshing early grey really balanced out the tangy mango cold foam with tajin. They had a substantial non-alc and low ABV menu, which I love to see. For food, we ordered a bunch of plates to eat family-style. Our server had recommended the Pickled Mushrooms, which I thought were just alright. My favorite item was the Burrata with gooseberries, and the Caramelized Onion Dip was pretty good, as well. I was really unimpressed with the Fried Polenta, which had the skimpiest topping of braised short ribs. Service was good overall, but our drinks kept getting bussed before we were finished with them, which was unfortunate. Overall though, a good experience!

The vibe is cozy and welcoming--no-frills décor, but thoughtfully laid out with a nice mix of low tables, high tops, and a long, inviting bar. It was fairly empty at first but became more lively as people trickled in. The staff really stood out, especially our server Sarah, who was warm, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through both the food and cocktail options without rushing us. As an extra touch, Chef Steve came out to our table to chat and describe a few of the dishes, which made the experience feel personal. Food highlights: * Firecracker tofu - perfectly fried cubes tossed in a hot-sweet Korean-style sauce; addictive. * Grilled broccoli - smoky, well-seasoned * Butternut squash soup - smooth and flavorful, elevated by roasted, ground squash seeds and a subtle curry note. * Polenta with short ribs - rich and balanced. * Smoked bluefish pâté - excellent texture though a little salty for my taste. Drinks: * Also Fancy - bright and fruity, but not overly sweet. * St. Peter's Bay - think mezcal meets Old Fashioned. * Bonus points: I asked for a custom gin gimlet, and the bartender delivered a fresh, mint-forward version that was amazing. Tall Order is a great neighborhood spot that's doing everything right. We'll absolutely be back.

There were many options to choose from but we do like to try places that are not always traditional. Hoping for a local favorite. Right on the corner, it is easy to find and with street parking easy to get to and enjoy a good meal and probably a late night gathering with friends. Rustic looking, it definitely put off the vibe of the local establishment for Arlington. We were the first customers that early afternoon. They were literally unlocking the doors when we arrived. The menu offered enough options to satisfy our dietary and personal preferences. Meats, chicken, fish and veggie options. You can find something. Staff was very friendly and attentive, but we were the only guest that early in the day. The crowd did pick up as we ate our meal. Large windows allowed you to sit and people watch on, what I would imagine is the Main Street for the town. It was Sunday so a little quiet so not a lot people watching today. Food was great and the presentation was a lot more than expected for a tavern. Full bar options and a good list of local craft beers. I love trying local beers when possible. A lot of space for seating during the day and I can only imagine the evening bar scene. Based on the number of people who did walk in while we were there to recover their credit card from the night before. Sounds weird but it totally gave off the local vibe. Love it. Very clean and tidy for a Tavern. Respectful place. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game so I enjoyed a chance to see one of the Sweet 16 games that day. Service here is top notch. From the minute you enter until the moment you leave. Stellar. Our waiter, Luis, was among the top 5 servers I've had in my life. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and had the long list of delicious sounding specials memorized. He walked me through the entire menu and recommended the items he thought I might like. And he nailed it. The guy was phenomenal. Clone this man and sell him to other restaurants. Wow. Flawless service from this gentleman. This kind of service is rare. He's the guy you expect at a high end establishment. I can't say enough about him. I promise I'm not related to him, he was just so good I needed to call it out. Post does so many things so well. Steaks! Perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The Long Bone (as they call it) came out cooked to the ideal color at the requested temp. Spot on. It had a side of 4 sauces to sample, each one unique and bursting with flavor. The steak was so juicy, it didn't need sauce, but you will need to try them anyway. Blue cheese butter? Yes please. Chef Jason knows steaks and it's a fact that cannot be denied. This is his second Post 1917 restaurant. The staff is well trained and it shows. Everyone seems so passionate about their job here. It shows in the food and the experience. The crab cakes, suggested by Luis, we're so good. More crab than cake, which meant you get alot of crab in every bite. Another perfect execution. Moist and flavorful. It's a must try. The wedge salad is a steakhouse staple and Post 1917 nails it. High quality blue cheese and fresh lettuce with bacon and tomato. Simple but awesome. Dessert was a key lime cheesecake. You can see and taste the key lime zest. I could have eaten 2 of these if I hadn't filled up on steak. The menu has steaks and seafood mainly, but they seem to do it all to perfection. I saw other dishes leave the kitchen and they all made me wish I ordered the whole menu. There was a seafood paella which looked like something I must try. The interior is huge and very well decorated. It feels so open and inviting. Overall... an easy 5 star restaurant. You need to go here. Take your friends. Take your family. Take your date. Post 1917 is what Lexington has been missing. Service is a shining star here.
