So seeing how the café has grown into this beautiful, larger MetroWest space honestly makes me smile. The upgrade in size and style is amazing, yet the quality and heart of the place remain exactly the same. The new space is spacious, cozy, and filled with character--from the whimsical European vibes to the eclectic artwork lining the walls. I love the mix of comfortable lounge chairs, soft sofas, and quiet corners, especially in the morning when the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The staff has always been friendly throughout the years, and that hasn't changed either. Parking is super easy with plenty of space, and the location is convenient whether I'm stopping by before work or meeting a friend. What a really quaint place in Metro West. The outside patio has several different seating areas with umbrellas and plants. The inside is like walking into an art museum. They have art all over the walls. The inside also has separate seating areas which is nice. The food is delicious. We sat outside because the weather was lovely. A hidden gem. I had to rely on a friend to take me here. When you pull up the parking sucks. But there is plenty of parking further down. Also. It is surrounded by offices. But when you enter. This might be my favorite cozy little cafe. It is the definition of a hidden gem, from the street it literally blends in. It's charming, warm, and the perfect place to study, work, or to just grab a snack. Awesome coffee shop in Metrowest. Very unassuming from the main street (Hiawassee). There's ample parking in the back and on the side. There are lots of comfortable seating indoor and outdoor. This local coffee shop is colorful, bright, quiet, and has great coffee and food. It's a good place for meeting friends, business meetings, studying, or working away from home. On Saturday it was pretty busy and it took a little longer than usual to get my latte. I didn't mind because I got to relax a bit and talked with a couple other patrons who were waiting on their coffees too. The two guys working there made sure everyone's coffee and food were delicious and were not rushed. Love this place, one of the most authentic places in the area. The owner Ash who's the nicest host ever has collected the art pieces from all over the Florida. It's a real eye candy for everyone. There are very nice selection of coffee, tea, wine and beer. We were pleasantly surprised which the food quality which also is made freshly in the back kitchen. My husband's first comment about this place is that it reminded him of Central Perk from Friends. This coffee shop definitely has the vibe of the late 90s early 2000s coffee shops where you would just go to hang out and maybe the coffee is not super bougie but it's good and there's lots of tasty treats to sample! Ambiance: I think this is what my yoga instructor's, who has very good taste when it comes to interior design, living room would look like if she invited me to her place. Whoever decorated Achilles used lots of random but nice-looking furniture/items, which I guess would be considered under "eclectic interior design" - a type of interior design that blends different styles and motifs together to create a unique aesthetic, according to masterclass.com. This place gives me some cool mystical vibes. Drinks: we ordered the creme brulee chai latte and the lavender cappuccino with oat milk. Both felt like a warm hug. S2 Food: we had the caprese panini and the Achilles sandwich. I am of the (maybe minority here on Yelp?) opinion that 10 dollars is a lot for a sandwich but the flavors, size, and temperature were on point. Service: unfortunately, a bit slow. While their staff is super friendly and accommodating, the sandwiches took a long time to come despite the fact that there were no food orders prior to ours. Maybe a one time thing? I'm in love! As both avid coffee and arts lover, this is my new happy place. Let's talk about the coffee. I'm a fan of hot and the Mr. prefers his on the colder side. We were both extremely happy with our beverages. Often, one is happy, and the other ends up tolerating a mediocre cup of Joe. Not so here. Finally! There is seating galore, indoor and out. It holds several living room like spaces for a more intimate feeling. Tables of varied heights are scattered throughout. Televisions, music, and games are readily available if you desire more than the relaxing coffee shop vibes that are abundant here. They have board games, painting groups in the back and happy hour menu. nice size spaces inside and out. airy outdoor area with couches and tables. Achilles Art Cafe is a lovely cafe that offers all your favorite things and more from drip coffee to lattes (and infinite flavors - I recommend the butter beer!). They have a breakfast menu, but also serve lunch, dinner and everything in between. You can get comfy inside the cafe or sit out on their patio/veranda. The façade of the building is Tuscan like much of Veranda Park, but the inside is whimsical and eclectic with stained glass in the light fixtures and art on the walls. I love that Achilles ties in world elements all around the establishment. You can also find baked good from tarts to pies, cakes and other pastries in the case there. There is something for everyone - even a pool table. It never crossed my mind to stop in this place that is in my parents backyard and right where I grew up until I came to visit for the holidays and wanted to experience something new. It's worth it! Wow. The experience I had this beautiful Thursday morning is overly appalling. I've been coming to this coffee shop for YEARS. The owner sees me never said two words to me, that's fine. I don't need someone to say hi to me. I've spent thousands of dollars over the years. I make a purchase every single time I come here. I bring business partners here. I come into the establishment with a Starbucks cup today because I woke up early and sat at Starbucks until HIS COFFEE SHOP OPENED. The first time this man has ever spoken to me, tells me that I am disrespectful for bringing a Starbucks cup in his establishment. I explain to him that I was there waiting for him to open and he proceeds to tell me that if I can see how I'm disrespecting him, he doesn't know what to tell me.
