I dropped my two cats off on a Saturday at ACE Pet Resort while we were going on vacation. When I arrived, I was informed that the cat room was being painted and that my cats would not be able to stay in the cat condos but in 'kennels' somewhere else in the facility due to paint fumes. I was assured that it would only be for two days (until Monday). I asked to see where the cats would be staying and was informed that I was not allowed to see where they would be kept as it was not a tour day/time. I expressed my concern about not being informed prior to arriving that the cat room would be closed for a portion of our stay and that I was not allowed to see where the cats would be boarded. The cats ended up being in the cat kennel for four days (instead of two days) and ACE Pet Resort charged me the full price for the cat condos even though my cats were in kennels for the first 4 days. read more

Our Boxer, Jack goes to doggie daycare every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, every week and love going to "doggie play school "! We will be boarding him for a week while we go visit are daughter in the Galveston area! We highly recommend ACE Pet Resort! Our previous Boxer, CJ went every week from their opening day until we lost him to cancer, and he loved every daycare day and every longer boarding stay! We also boarded our Beagle/Bassett Hound mix and she loved going and being with all the other dogs! They have always taken great care of all our fur babies with love and attention! read more

My two year old mini bernedoodle pretzel loves going to Ace pet resort for daycare. He goes twice a week and has been going for over a year. The staff is wonderful and they always take such good care of pretzel. He goes in super excited to play with his friends and comes home exhausted and ready for dinner and bed. read more

Left dogs for boarding over a week with cameras in room. Staff did not follow boarding schedules or clean the rooms the dogs were in for several days with poop on the floor. When complaints were voiced to staff a rude girl said "I'm sorry you feel that way" and said we were wrong even when we have recordings that dogs were not being let outside at communicated times. read more

Dropped our dogs off for a few nights, with ample food and very specific feeding intructions. Came back to an empty food container which should have had ample food remaining. Who knows what else they fed them, because both dogs had diarrhea when we got them home. Both dogs also now have a severe respiratory illness which required an immediate vet visit. After paying $240 for three nights(!) and a $190 vet bill, I'd say this wasn't a great deal for us, nor the dogs. Won't be back. read more

It has taken me nearly a year to re-establish a new relationship and trust another groomer after the last place I worked with took on new owners and no longer cared about quality control. I have been through 4 groomers in the Plano/ Allen Texas area. I recommend Sandra, the groomer at Ace. She loves her job, she follows your instructions and my PapiPoo is excited to see her every time which is a sign in itself that my Sasha loves this place. Although my review is specifically about their grooming services, this is the cleanest and nicest boarding facilities I've ever seen. It has new kennels, outdoor pool, an inside play area and a very caring and accommodating staff. If I were to leave my Sasha anywhere I would feel totally confident that she would be taken care of at Ace. Again, all the dogs coming in are wagging their tails, they recognize and greet the staff like family and have no problem watching their parents go out the door. read more

This is for anyone who is considering any sort of business with this establishment. As you read through these reviews please don't disregard any of the bad reviews because I can promise you that they are all very accurate! It's been 4 years and I still cringe each time I have to drive by this business! We chose Ace to board our Ally for 3 days during Spring Break. I was very clear how important is was to keep a close eye on her to be sure she was eating and drinking. She was 18yrs old but still healthy. She just never did like to be left .(they never do) They were told she wasn't to play with any of the other dogs but still need to make sure she stayed Mobil throughout each day. Perfectly reasonable requests. Well, I called on day 2 and was told she was doing great and had just been up walking around and was eating. The thing I was most concerned about. We came home early enough on the 3rd day to pick her up. What we found was nothing close to the dog we had left. I'm sharing a pic of Ally when we dropped her off and pics of her 3 days later. She wasn't able to walk out. My husband had to carry her out. We took her straight to the Emergency Animal Hospital. They said she was dehydrated among several other issues. They kept her for 24hrs and gave her meds and fluids trying to save her life. They weren't able to save her. She developed sepsis. We were told if she had been given fluids right away when they realized she wasn't drinking she wouldn't have had to die in this terrible way. Same as other reviews I have read we were told that there would be a veterinarian on call if there were any issues. The staff could have even called my veterinarian and someone would have come. But, nothing was done and on top of that I KNOW I was lied to when I called to check on her. Yes, our baby was 18yrs old and things happen ( which is what someone said to me when I told them she had died) but, if Ally had been properly cared for she would not have been in the shape she was in when we picked her up. I can't emphasize enough not to use this business no matter the age of your furbaby!! It's not worth the risk! This place is GREAT from an availability perspective. HOWEVER, the boarding fee is $40/night. If you pick up after 1pm they charge a $50 late fee. 1 night of boarding cost me $90!!!!!!!! Outrageous. And you need to pre-portion the food in single use plastic bags read more

If I could give this 0 starts I will. Trainer Broderick doesn't get back to you in a timely manner when it comes to getting information. Find another peron to train your dog. DONT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE unless you're okay with your pet starving, being given the wrong food, not given their medication, and have poop stuck to their fur. Took both of my dogs frequently a while back and they suddenly had a fear of the place the last time we tried to drop them off. The staff went from high schoolers to some borderline shady people. Keep in mind I camp a lot so I am boarding them very, very often and this is never occurred. We changed to Sparta pet Palazzo. And they absolutely love the place. We tried to give Ace another chance being that it's closer to our home. This past time put the nail in the coffin. We dropped both of our dogs off with two separate bags, clearly labeled with each of their names and the designated distribution of food. When we picked the dogs up, one bag was entirely empty, and the other bag was entirely full. I said to them. I think you fed both of my dogs the food intended for one of them. They said oh sometimes they don't eat all of their food. I said no this bag is entirely full, not a single scoop. My other dog probably didn't even eat for a couple of days because he knows not to eat the other dogs food. She then said oh we made a mistake. We fed both of your dogs, the same food from the same bag we didn't read the label. When I got my dog back, he was extremely fat, and the other was extremely skinny. That tells me that one ate the food of the other because he thought they were both for him , since they know to only eat their food. My dog has been pooping nonstop because he over ate. She said she would call no later than Wednesday to make it right. It's now Saturday and I followed up on Wednesday and didn't get a callback. This place is a joke. We even counted his medication and guess what they didn't give him a single pill either.... read more

Ace is the best boarding and daycare spot around! Ollie goes here twice a week for daycare and loves every second of it. Always comes home happy and tired from a day full of playing. Im not sure what happened to my dog(they wont give me an answer) but i have been using this place at least once every other week for the past year. I picked up my dog last Monday and now this place is costing me an arm and a leg to keep him alive. When they brought my dog out to go home i noticed he was acting very strange, almost like he was scared of something. I noticed he had bite marks all over his body and reeked of poop. Later that night i had to rush him to the animal hospital because he literally couldn't lift his head and looked like he was about to die. Vet is saying he was extremely dehydrated and stressed out. Dont know if they just forgot about my dog during his stay or they just didn't care. I usually dont write reviews on businesses but i am now so another pet owner doesn't have to go through this. I have added pictures of my dog to show how beat up and sick he looks. Keep in mind my dog was very healthy before his stay and now looks like a completely different dog. read more

Price is good. Got there to drop off my dog for a trip the next day--they told me My dog was missing shots. Don't understand how other boarding places know my dog records, but the one associated with my vet doesnt. 10/10 on the knuckle sized dingle berry hanging off my pomeranians but. 1/10 on basic care for dogs boarded for 2 weeks. Both smelt like all the pets took turns going to the bathroom on them. I took my dog here for training recently and the experience was very one-sided for me. How the overall business is run is highly unprofessional and unorganized. However, the trainer, Broderick, was the only consistently wonderful part of this facility. I never had any problems with him!! He was always willing to talk to me when I had questions, meet me for follow-ups, and even checks in from time to time to ensure the continued home training is successful. While I would not recommend bringing your dog to Ace at all, I would HIGHLY recommend dog training directly with Broderick!! He cares about the dogs and about your pocket book. Integrity seems to be the key for him. read more

I just read a negative review that I thought was so unfair that I decided to write. Kelly I'm sorry about your dog, but she was 18!! How dare you blame ACE Pet resort for your dogs death!! I will say again- your dog was 18!! I have been bringing my German Shepherd to Ace for two years now and the people that work there are wonderful with her. I have used ACE for boarding and doggie daycare and there has never been any problems whatsoever! When you leave such a negative review of a business you need to take in account that there are people that work there that have to earn a living and they probably don't make a whole lot of money to begin with. To try to shut down a business because you are having trouble accepting the fact that your elderly dog died because she was almost 100 years old (human years) then something is terribly wrong with you. The fact that this happened 4 years ago also makes me think something is mentally wrong with you. My veterinarian has contacted Ace Pet resort several times on my behalf and they even recommended ACE Pet Resort when I asked for a good place to board my dog. With all the dogs that Ace has everyday, you really think it's fair that they didn't stand over your dog all day to make sure she was drinking water? If on the second day when you called and she was eating and walking around then why would they suspect there was anything wrong? I know I wouldn't have noticed and I'm a dog lover! When I pick my dog up she immediately takes a nap when she gets home because she is so worn out from playing with the other dogs. So if I took pictures right after I got home you would see her laying down on her bed passed out! Again, I wrote this because you are urging people to avoid this business. A business where people depend on a paycheck to pay their bills. Tearing down a company's reputation is wrong. Especially because you are a "Karen" who four years later still can't understand why her 18 year old dog died, I truly hope you get help for your mental disorder. read more

I considered leaving my dogs here over the labor day holiday. I was informed by a sweet young lady named McKenzie that this facility is running rampant with a kennel cough outbreak. I'm thankful she informed me of this; however my neighbors weren't so lucky. Their dog is now sick and they were never informed of the outbreak. Best dog boarding in town! My English bulldog loves it here. They are owned by a vet, so I never have to worry about my pups not having proper care if something bad were to happen. I used to work here and let me tell you, this place is a piece of work. Dog's water bowls aren't filled on weekends because the teenagers are too busy worryingy about getting off on time, employees work many times a week with no manager on site, the front desk never communicates with the people who take care of the dogs to see how they are or if they are misbehaving, ect. ect., I could write a book about complaints. There's one particular regular daycare dog that bites workers when being let out of his kennel. One time, I found bloody stool in a kennel, called the manager because NEITHER of the two were there, and they said to just clean it up. I don't know if the owner was ever told or not because "it could have been from stress." Another time, I was working one morning ALONE because another worker didn't show up for their shift which management knew about and the manager didn't come in to help. Three dogs got into a fight, which wouldnhave been very easy to stop in under 15 seconds if TWO people were working, but because it was three dogs and one human, it was a nasty fight which caused one dog to get several stitches, and a small section of ear sewn back on. After the fight, neither one of the managers asked if the other dogs or if I was okay. Later, one manager said "interesting day huh?" jokingly and laughed, even though a dog was in very bad shape. This, on top of many many other things made me quit this job. I would NOT recommend boarding at this place, no matter how nice the facility is, the people suck. One time someone called and asked to bring their dog in 30 minutes before closing and the manager replied "I'm sorry but we are all booked for the weekend" even though they were at less than half capacity. I would also not recommend this for a place of employment unless they get new managers or the managers change and actually do their jobs. read more
