I went with two of my sisters, and we got one mani and two pedis. They were cheap, $20 for a regular pedi and $10 for a regular mani. However, even considering the low price, none of us had pleasant experiences. My sister's mani: not done well at all. they didn't cut her cuticles and there was tons of paint left on her skin -- it looked like a toddler went to town on her nails. They made no effort to clean it up even when she asked, and by the time we got to the car some of the paint had chipped. I get that it was $10, but c'mon... My sister's pedi: the main problem was how long she waited. We called ahead to make an appointment and even with doing that my sister had to wait ~20 minutes for someone to START her pedicure. Her pinky toe was smudged and when she brought it to the store's attention they did nothing (once again). My pedi: the nail polish portion was okay. They put a wrap on my heel with some kind of mask/balm on it, but then never scrubbed it off. This resulted in it drying up and getting all over my shoes and peeling everywhere (as seen in the pics). While the nail polish was fine, I thought it was disgusting that they didn't clean this stuff off and it was falling everywhere. I had to scrub my sandal furiously after that since the purple mask left an oil stain. Their small oversight left me with major inconveniences. It's a cheap place for manis and pedis, but I'm not open to coming here again. read more

I didn't want to go to my usual place because it was out of the way and I had somewhere to be in a few hours which is why I ended up coming here, reviews seemed decent. Found great parking on the street, asked how long it might be for a french manicure and pedicure, they said they will start with manicure, perfect. I told them if anything I would come back for my pedicure since I had somewhere to be and I didn't want to rush. There wasn't anyone waiting so I didn't think it would be an issue of time. As the older Asian lady began to remove my current polish and file my nails she barely looked at what she was doing, she asked what shape, i told her and yet she did a mediocre job at filing and removing the polish. She was getting ready to basically paint them and i took the nail file and filed them myself since she did a poor job, she barely cut or tried to clean/ deal with my cuticles which is absurd. I was already upset and annoyed I even decided to try this place, now doing my french was not how clean and detailed I imagined it would be and always is when I get a French manicure... I've been to this nail salon twice and it's been a great experience each time. All of the employees are kind and take their time doing your nails! You don't feel rushed which is appreciated. My gel manicures last super long. My friend does the dip powder and she has loved her results both times. They even put on movies and give you a mini shoulder/neck massage during your manicure. I got my nails done at Nail Perfection and Spa last week in Lodi for Christmas and was extremely unhappy with my experience. My nail technician was rude, did not do the shape or length I requested for my nails and at the end of it all he told me he didn't like my nails and that when I came back he would do better. After a week of being dissatisfied with my nails I decided to try somewhere new to fix them. After reading reviews I came to Ace Nails in Hasbrouck Heights and I could not be happier! The staff was amazing and kind. I walked in an hour before closing time and they still took me. I explained my experience at the other salon and they helped me achieve exactly down to the tee what I wanted my nails to look like. They fixed the shape/color/length of my nails and made me feel so welcomed. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who's looking for a complete manicure and warm atmosphere. After taking a year break from gel polish manicures I decided spring was a good time to start up again. Based on previous reviews I called and asked for an appointment and they said they were flexible that same day. Awesome Saturday walk-in without much wait seemed unbelievable, low and behold, I waited about 20 minutes and was out within an hour. Got a gel manicure, with design, wax to smooth my winter ridden hands and a 1 minute massage while waiting for it to dry. Seems short, but hut the spot! I think they found themselves a new customer! This place was good at first but they're too expensive for my liking. And they only do gel. I called to make an appointment for acrylic fill in, I went, and she tried to do a gel fill in (which is $50 for each gel fill in and $60 for a new full set) I told her I only want acrylic so she told me all she can do is a color change. Next thing I know, she's charging me $45 for a color change! And she didn't even fully take off the acrylic on my nails. So why charge me for "taking off acrylic" that's literally still on my nails AND for a gel color change? I just started going to lucky nail and spa. Best nail salon ever! I'm becoming a regular after i noticed that the nail artists' skills here (the owner and Blanca) are impeccable and incomparable to other ones I've been to. They never chip even after 4 weeks and I am always constantly working with my hands at work and cooking a lot at home. FRAUD!! It was my first time visiting this salon and definitely my last time. I wanted to get a gel manicure with solid colours except one nails per hand with a design which I had a reference photo for. I'll give them that they had an eye for details while preparing my nails for the manicure, but I had to explain three times with the reference picture what I wanted and what color scheme and they still messed it up, and then tried to blame it one me that I explained it wrong. The most outrageous part though is that I asked before they started my nails how much it would be and they said 35$ for the basic nails plus 10$ for the design, 45$ total which is fine. When I went up to the cashier to pay it was 50$ instead but I didn't say anything thinking its okay that will be there tip then, as I wasn't 100% satisfied with what I got. After I swiped my card and handed them the check with no tip, the owner tried to pressure me into giving them a tip, which I declined. Having a bad feeling in my gut I checked my credit card balance when I got home and lo and behold there was a 60$ instead of a 50$ charge from the salon. When I called them to asked them about it, they claimed that they didn't do it and that it must be a problem with my credit card, a card I have used for years at many different places and NEVER running into an issue like this. They added their own tip and then denied it when I confronted them about it. Called after a friend suggested this place. I was looking for a gel manicure. Girl offered me a time within the hour for an appointment. I arrived about ten minutes early and they took me right away. I was done and out of there within a half hour. The treatment included a bonus neck massage which was nothing to write home about but still a nice touch. And the appointment also included a paraffin wax dip - very nice touch! The price was $30 plus a tip. A little more than the average $25 I'm used to. Overall a good experience. They seemed clean and had a lot of selection for gel colors. They offered a frequent visit card so after ten visits you get a free appointment. I'd recommend this location. read more

Another Sunday panic for an open nail salon without an appointment. I am satisfied with a painfully average experience. I wouldn't encourage people to go here but I wouldn't steer them away either. My pedicure was nice, massage was standard and the overall service was satisfactory. Same for my gel manicure except I will say the cut/file job is a little uneven; I filed to match a few nails with the rest of my hand when I got home. One additional note - it took longer than expected (although I will say it was great to call and hear that I could be serviced right away). The mani pedi took too long to not have perfect results. I love a quick mani pedi with great results, that's my goal. She said to come in when I got there she asked me to wait 15 mine I reminded her I was in a rush she said okay and continued talking to a man that had just walked in. So I am giving this place only one but deserve even less. This is the 2nd time I walk in at 6:30pm and they tell me they can't do my pedicure. Mind you only one person is being serviced while the other person is sweeping. If your sign says you are open till 7:30pm then it is expected that you service clients especially when there is no one and it's not busy. So ridiculous especially the days following up to Mother's Day. If you close b4 7:30pm then I suggest you change your business hours. read more

This has been my go to place for awhile (I love all the girls who do the pedicures there). There have been several times I've had to wait a bit because the owner clearly double books. I went there for my most recent appt and saw that the girl I usually go to (and called and had asked for) was working on someone else. After I told the owner I had an appt she barely looked me in the face and said I never called. I 100% called and even spoke to her the day before! Even once she knew I was clearly annoyed, she just ignored me like I wasn't standing there. I love the girls there but this owner never takes accountability when she makes a mistake. This place can go both ways. The ladies are very sweet and welcoming, unlike other salons. They always have a good movie playing which adds to the relaxation experience. They are a bit pricy. My one complaint is my nails would fall off a week after getting them done. They fixed them without a problem, but still a hassle. read more

Went in to get a mani and pedi today no one was in the store. I was started with pedi no problem. Someone came in after me for same thing she also was started with pedi. The other girl came over to start on her nails while she was getting the pedi. When they finished with her I politely asked you do know I want my nails done too right. They said yes. He replied are you in a hurry I said yes kinda I have 10 month at home( remind you there are 4 workers). So they start speaking in their language and laughing and discussing who knows what. 10 mins go by the other 2 are playing on their phone. I finished with my toes he said; now she can help you. I said no you thank I prefer not. It was rude speaking and laughing about customers while playing on your phone. For a new business they were not trying to win customers! Never will return!!!!
