Excellent service, good price. Hurley did a thorough job cleaning the chimney and made sure it was drawing properly when he was finished. Helped me move the furniture back into place which I appreciated. I highly recommend ACD Chimney Service and will be calling on them in the future when needed. read more

He was very responsive and he did a great job cleaning our chimney! I would highly recommend ACD Chimney Service!

When we needed to have the fireplace/chimney (of our 130-year old victorian home) inspected, Hurley responded promptly and arrived as promised. He carefully checked for any issues and explained while there was a small crack in the firebox panel, it did not warrant expensive replacement at this time. Based on the many positive reviews which ACD Chimney Service has received from past customers, it's clear they are an honest and knowledgeable company, which is why we're keeping their contact information for future service needs! :-) read more

ACD was fantastic! We bought a historic townhouse with two fireplaces that had not been inspected/maintained in several years. ACD got us an appointment quickly and did a full cleaning/inspection, fixed the mortar on caps that had some cracking/weather damage, and installed dampers (don't know why those had not been installed earlier given that it's code). They were prompt, courteous, communicative, and very accommodating to our schedule. We'll definitely use them again in the future! read more

I called ACD Chimney service to inspect my chimney to replace the two chimney caps. They came right out performed the inspection and we agreed on the best course of action to correct the issues and a date and time to have the service. Price was definitely reasonable and the job was done on time when I expected. No complaints i would definitely refer ACD Chimney Service to my neighbors. read more

I meant to write this review a while ago. I had my chimney cleaned in September by ACD. They were prompt, did a thorough job with cleaning, and cleaned up any debris left on the hearth. My chimney hadn't been cleaned for a couple years and it really needed it because I use it often. I haven't had any problems with smoke or ventilation issues while burning fires since cleaned. Definitely going to use ACD again. read more

I've now used ACD Chimney Service twice over the last two years. The first time was for a major repair to my freshly-purchased house and the second was for a chimney cleaning. When I tell you I've never had such an amazing experience (both times) with Hurley and Alia, I'm not kidding. These two are the dynamic duo of contractors. Hurley's work was phenomenal and the repair, while costly (only because of how much work was required), was done properly and as efficiently as possible. His wife, Alia, came to the job with him and she was SUCH a sweetheart. Hurley is also incredibly friendly. You won't regret hiring ACD Chimney Service. Seriously. Get that chimney cleaned! read more

ACD Chimney Service was responsive and reliable and provided thorough, high-quality work. I called to inquire about having our damper replaced and to also repair cracks around our fireplace and crown. Hurley offered to come out the very next day, and he made our chimney good as new with a brand new damper and totally repaired crown. The before and after pictures speak for themselves! I'm glad we were able to get our chimney repaired so quickly and would highly recommend ACD for quality service. read more

Alia from ACD was the first to respond on Yelp, and with the best price. When I reached out to book an appointment on a Saturday, she was able to accommodate me the same afternoon. Another highly-rated company couldn't come for a week and 1/2. Her husband, Hurley, arrived on time with his tools, and did a thorough job cleaning, and left my living room clean. He also made sure I knew how to open and close the duct, and checked out another old masonry fireplace I planned to close off, ensuring its vent was closed. I will admit I was a bit reluctant to use ACD at first because of the small number of Yelp reviews and one negative from 2009, but was reassured when I saw the 250 plus positive reviews on Thumbtack. Don't be deterred - ACD offers prompt, efficient, excellent, affordable service! read more

Super responsive during scheduling. Flexible and friendly when I needed to reschedule. Fair price. Came a few minutes early. Professional, swift and clean. I am happy to recommend Hurley to anyone needing help with their chimneys! read more

Hurley cleaned my two fireplaces thoroughly and at a fair price on a same day visit. I submitted quote request from 5 vendors on Yelp and his was the most reasonable. He was thorough yet quick and also showed me how to operate the flu properly. Looking forward to many fires in the new home - thanks for the visit. read more

ACD did a great job on my chimney. Communicative, on time, and great value. I had a chimney cap installed on my masonry chimney, wiring removed off of it (which had been there for years) and the crown of the chimney sealed due to major cracking from ice. It looks great, thanks ACD! read more

Reliable, honest, prompt, and professional. ACD chimney cleaning service is highly recommended!

If you are in need of an excellent and thorough chimney/fireplace cleaning, look no further than ACD. Hurley was professional, personable, thorough and I will not hesitate to use him again. He was very respectful of my home and left without a trace of being here, except for two very clean fireplaces/chimneys. read more

Hurley was both patient with delays on my end and persistent in making sure we were able to finalize an appointment. He was communicative, polite and professional. I can't wait to use my clean fireplace! I would hire him again and definitely recommend him. read more

This company charged me $200 to look up my chimney. 5 minutes for $200, that's an hourly rate of $2,400. Massive theft.

Hurley did an amazing job on our fireplace and chimney. He was very quick to respond to our questions and messages and showed up on time. He sealed up a few cracks and cleaned our fireplace and chimney. I honestly didn't know it could look that clean. It looks like a totally new fireplace. After he learned that we just purchased the home and never used the fireplace, he made sure we knew how to open the damper to not smoke ourselves out. He also recommended some tools and fire extinguishers. Great job, highly recommend. read more

Great work and great advice! Very responsive, knowledgeable and quality work. We're very pleased. We'll see you next year! :)

He arrived within the agreed upon window, got right to work and even taught me how to properly build a fire. I will definitely use ACD Chimney Services in the future. read more

Hurley is quite the knowledgeable pro. In addition to excellent service, he maneuvered around our property with great care after arriving punctually. When we were looking for a chimney pro, he was very responsive as well. We had not used the fireplace in our new home just yet and wanted it swept and cleared for use first--safety is key! He took his time, but also worked efficiently and taught us a few things about owning a prefabricated fireplace. Since he swept the flue from above, he considerately took photos of our crown and cap, which we were relieved to see are in splendid condition. Straightaway, we've just had what will be the first of many safe and lovely winter fires in our cozy basement living area. Thanks, Hurley, for taking such great care of us and our fireplace! We appreciate you sharing your expertise! Btw: The previous reviews are old and don't pertain to the service we received today. Look up ACD on Thumbtack and you'll see that there's lots of love out there for this company, and well deserved it is. read more

ACD is excellent--they have been in business for over 20 years (although they are new to Yelp, hence the small number of reviews) and are extremely responsive and reliable. Hurley was very accommodating regarding my schedule, and the inspection and cleaning were thorough. And, their prices are better than most. I am very pleased with his work and highly recommend! read more

I was in a pickle and needed my chimney cleaned and serviced. One contractor tried to take advantage of me to sell me products that based on his review were normal wear and tear in the fireplace so I felt bamboozled. The second company was recommended by a neighbor but I was disappointed after waiting for weeks for an appointment only for them not to show up nor have the decency to call me to say it was postponed. I had to call them after waiting 1/2 hour past our appointment. I dreaded going online searching for a Chimney company not referred by someone I knew, but I figured "3 times a charm". LoL. I stumbled onto ACD Chimney Service. My son told me to always look at the reviews. So I checked out his Yelp and also Thumbtack reviews and Thumbtack had almost 400 reviews. Since Hurley had great reviews, my gut told me to go for it! I educated myself on the type of chimney I had and Hurly quoted me a price for cleaning and inspection and came out over the weekend to service my chimney. He was on time, professional and knowledgeable. My 1st time owning a fireplace and Hurley by far is the real deal folks if you're looking for honesty, fairness and someone knowledgeable with fireplaces who won't take advantage of you. Thanks Hurley! read more

Reviewer above sent me a message ---- ridiculous. this has nothing to do with paying for gas or a co-payment for a dental service (not sure what this comparison is about) but with actually knowing what you are doing. Shining a light into a chimney is NOT how it is done. Also save the notes for yourself just to get the ratings up. I gladly write to the better business bureau . You guys are absolutely useless. read more
