Then the tech "Jayden" could not relight the pilot light as I turned the gas off. The tech was very unsure of what to do. Very inexperienced and not a great technician like I am used to from you guys. So now I still have no hot water after a 500 dollar 15 minute water leak fix. Very disappointed with you guys. I have used your company several times in the past. Next day I went outside and diagnosed the problem of the pilot light. The Pizo snap igniter was shorted out due to the water leaking from the pipe above. I ordered one on Amazon(9.00 bucks) and lit the pilot and the heater works fine. No new 3k water heater needed today! YEA! Before leaving I asked the tech if he turned on the water to the heater now that the leak is fixed----he said yes. Well he outright lied because it was still off after I lit the water heater back off. What a 180 shift from the competent technicians I usually get from these guys. Jaden was more interested in charging me 3k for a water heater and getting out of here as it was 5pm on a Friday. I might add that they have a leak warranty, but in order to get this, they need to perform a "Leak test" What do you know, the tech could not perform one! Shocked. - No warranty for me!

Whole House Cast Iron Sewer Pipe Replacement/Reroute…read more If you have cast iron pipes, this is a frighteningly expensive job that all of us have to do, as they are all at the end of their lifespan. Not only is it expensive, but some companies do not use the correct parts, do not create the correct slope for drainage, destroy your irrigation or electrical wiring, do not pack the dirt back correctly, expect you to actually vacate your house for days on end, try to avoid city inspections....so many potential nightmares. I highly recommend Plumb E.R. in Forney. Jake is the nicest, most honest and helpful person, has a full-time digging team of 16 years, knows each city's requirements, and will pass inspection the first time, every time. They are incredibly fast to completion, always left us a useable bathroom and shower, and the entire process took less than a week with no need for us to leave. While replacing the sewer pipes, we also found yet another existing slab leak that had been going on for ages. Jake took it in stride, added an additional pex re-route through our attic (this was the only hot water that had not already been re-routed out of our slab), and very kindly fixed all the ancient 1976 leaky faucets and drains I had given up on so that we could actually use the master bathroom until we have it remodeled. What I thought would be a miserable experience was actually fast, correct the first time, well finished, and just a month later you can barely even tell anything was done in the yard at all. Jake's confidence and cheeriness kept us sane during the process, and it's amazing to have flawless drainage and peace of mind. Do yourself the favor of not requiring rework, and use Plumb E.R., you will not regret your choice.

During that work, they discovered that the original installer had not followed code and had made several mistakes that could have been costly--or even dangerous. Mathews Plumbing corrected all of the substandard work, including the associated wallboard and painting repairs required for the Kohler project, and successfully cleared a difficult city inspection. They also followed all the rules of our high rise condo association. They also installed new kitchen fixtures and a whole‑house water monitoring and automatic shutoff system, giving us peace of mind against potential plumbing leaks. The repairs tied to the steam generator involved wallboard, tile, and paint, and their team were true artists--matching the tile, textured wallboard, and paint flawlessly. Everyone on the team was professional, respectful, and very pleasant to work with. They took the time to educate me on the challenges involved, trained me on proper maintenance, and consistently cleaned up after their work. I have nothing but praise for Mathews Plumbing and would highly recommend them.
