Fixed an old toilet valve and charged $300 for a toilet worth less than $100. It would have been nice if he informed my wife it would be cheaper to install a whole new toilet in up front before putting new pieces on an old toilet Fixed the pipes under the sink for $189. Was at our house for a total of minutes. Took advantage of my wife big time and was very rude when I called to ask why he couldn't have been transparent with her since I wasn't home. I'm writing this review from a different state, which is why I am giving 5 FULL stars. My husband and I are on vacation and received a call at 7 pm that the bathtub in our daughters' bathroom wouldn't turn off. We called our neighbors, who were able to get the water to the house off ... but that left my 2 kids and their caretakers without water! I called Platinum and while I didn't get anyone on the phone, I did receive a text immediately after the missed call. I was able to coordinate with them on a visit to my house this morning (Sunday). Nick showed up, evaluated the situation, and diagnosed with great accuracy. My mom (who is holding down the fort), said that Nick was very easy to work with and was super straightforward. The cost was less than what we expected (and what he quoted us at), which is a dream when you aren't there to check/double check. He gave us several options from temporary fix to forever fix all with the cost associations. We ended up going with the forever fix, and within 2 hours the work was done. We will 100% be using Platinum in the future, and are grateful for how honest and fast they were at getting this resolved! read more

Never again! Nick was at my rental property to fix a toilet and shower head. My residents notified me that he would not stop talking about politics and how he was at the capital riots. He even showed videos from his phone. My residents were extremely uncomfortable but felt like they had to shrug it off and go along with it because there is a stranger inside their home and they didn't feel was safe. I called the lady that answers the phone which I'm sure was Nick's wife and she offered a half hearted apology and blamed it on my residents saying that Nick continued to talk about it because the residents were going along with it. My residents confirmed that they didn't bring up anything politically related and the conversation was initiated and driven by Nick. Absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL and didn't take accountability for their actions. I'm disgusted. I said this over the phone and I will say it again. Your company will never be allowed to step foot in any of my properties again. read more

He was honest about what we did need (new seal) and didn't (new flange or new toilet); furthermore, he could have charged us for extras as well and didn't, such as fixing our handle. He also gave us new caps and cleaned up the remaining blue stain. I had scrubbed and it was not budging much. Yet he got the remaining stain cleaned up with magical ease!! Thank goodness for Nick (Platinum Plumbing)! On Sunday (7/09) we discovered our water heater had a serious leak and needed to be replaced. This was smack dab in the middle of a serious family emergency that was going to need me to bring my elderly father to our house for some recuperating time. As you can imagine, we didn't have time for there to be a hot water problem. Within minutes of requesting a quote, Nick got back to us and scheduled a time the following day to come out and replace the unit. We knew it would be a majore pain because less than desirable work had been done all over our house before we purchased it. Any time we have to get something fixed it's a Pandora's box of trouble. Working late into the night, Nick was researching and communicating best options for us. He totally understood the tight spot I was in and made sure we would have the problem resolved. Day of, he arrived promptly and got right to work. As expected, it wasn't an simple install but he did a GREAT job! Our water heater closet went from a jumbled mess of frayed wires and questionable piping to a thing of organized beauty with a brand new, top notch water heater. He did it all with a smile on his face. Had I had to deal with that mess, I would not have been smiling. Bottom line, if you are looking for someone you can trust who stands behind their work, conscientiously does the job, and provides top notch service, you can't do better than Nick and Platinum Plumbing. Ah, what better way to end your weekend than with a mystery leak. That seemingly came from nowhere - in fact, it was more likely that the kids playing outside had sprayed a hose into the open window of my bedroom (during my open house, no less) than a leak to *really* be happening. And then I remembered where my water heater was... After vacuuming about 8 gallons of water (that'd have to be some kind of prank those rascally neighbor kids did), and with some earnest encouragement from Mom, I finally started the search for a plumber at 7:30am. The first plumber I called wouldn't be able to make it until tomorrow, so I tried Platinum Plumbing. The woman who answered the phone said he wouldn't be able to get there until between 9:00am and 9:30am.... really? Within 2 hours? I was stoked already! Nick showed up about 9:10am. I was just about to go outside to dump another load of water from the Shop Vac, and he took it over and dumped it for me. Another thumbs up. I told Nick that I thought the water was coming from the water heater somewhere, and he took a look at the top, and realized (much to my dismay) that the hoses just needed some tightening. MAN! I hate it when it's something SO simple!! So he gave them a good crank, and then spent some time explaining how water heaters work, and why the water took such a circuitous route to end up on my carpet. At any rate, Nick rocked. Super friendly, spent time explaining to me, and seemed genuinely honest and helpful. Although I wished I would have thought to crank the hoses tighter myself, at least I found a good plumber for future issues. read more

After a pipe bursting, I immediately called on Wed Feb 10th and was able to get an appt for Wed 24th which they confirmed. I heard nothing from them until a text I received at 8pm on Friday 19th while I was spending time with my family which stated I had to reply to confirm my appt within 30min. I did not see the text until a little over an hour later. I immediately responded and they had already cancelled my appt and gave the slot to someone else. This is infuriating as now my family will be without water for two more weeks. The person who replied to my texts says they have to go by "rules" during this time, but rules only work when both sides know what they are and the expectation to read and respond to every text on a Friday family night, after working hours is absolutely ridiculous and unethical. read more

This is the best plumbing company!!!! We were in desperate need of a plumber to install a new tankless heater. We had previously had two other plumbing companies out over the last two months that were incompetent. I contacted Brandi and she immediately handled the situation and was able to come the following morning. Nick (owner) and a master plumber came out with Rob and installed the new heater. Cannot express how much I appreciated their service! The entire pipes in my master bedrooms bathroom were clogged and I couldn't get it unclogged no matter what I used. I was at the verge of crying when I finally decided to call a plumbed cringing of how much it may cost me, but I'm glad i found Nick on yelp! They gave me a quotation right when I called them and Nick came within 30 min after hours. He unclogged everything and gave me tips on how prevent future clogs. Called Nick shortly after moving to Keller to replace some washing machine connections. I called and had service the same day. Nick was on time, very friendly, professional, and his price seemed fair. After replacing the washing machine connections I had him give me an estimate to replace some hot water heaters in my attic. If I could give Nick ten stars, I would! I have not had the best luck in the past finding good contractors, even using paid membership review sites. However, finding Platinum Plumbing on Yelp was like hitting the lottery! My husband is ill and we needed a whole house fluoride filter along with a softener and other collateral filtration. Normally my husband is very handy and he had considered doing the work himself, but ran into problems trying to locate the main water supply inlet to our home - our house is on a slab (like most here in TX) nothing like houses with basements on the east coast where he is from. We thought a pro could help us find the area where we needed to tie in, but found that most plumbers we called were not even interested in the job. When Nick came out, we realized that it would be no easy task, tying into a pipe buried in a flower bed at the front of our house (really?!) and then running pipes through the outside wall, into and across our garage to the equipment. So we decided to have him do the whole job and are so glad that we did. The job that seemed fairly involved/labor intensive, but relatively straightforward, evolved into a much more complicated project. Nick handled all of the little (and not so little surprises) like the total professional he is. He probably ended up with a few gray hairs from our project but never complained or tried to make excuses. He was very communicative and kept us informed of setbacks. He always followed up when he told us he would. He stayed on top of what was happening with inspections and worked to make up as much lost time as possible. The quality of his work is excellent and one of the inspectors even remarked that it was the work of someone that he would have work on his own home - and that most of what he sees may pass inspection, but is not what he would ever personally accept. I really cannot say enough good things about Nick and Platinum Plumbing. He is honest, punctual, efficient, fair, thorough, neat, polite, knowledgeable, meticulous, professional and also a very kind, caring individual. Think twice before you call Platinum Plumbing!!! I called Platinum Plumbing because I had a water leak outside of my home a few inches from the double check point box located by my sidewalk. I told Nick where I thought the water was leaking from. Nick located the leak in just a few minutes. The problem was that the PVC pipe leading into the double check point box had broken. Nick replaced and repaired about a one foot piece of PVC pipe along with a few PVC parts. The entire job took around 1 1/2 hours. The cost of the materials could not have been more than a few dollars. The BILL for the work was GROSSLY OVER PRICED for the job that was done. I guess just because water is running from your yard into the street, Nick assumed he could charge anything he wanted. When I called the day before, his wife never told about the HIGH PRICE I should expect to pay. (I guess that's my fault for assuming I would be treated fairly.) After I complained about the high bill, Nick said he would reduce the bill a few dollars. The bill was still excessively over priced. I paid the bill in full but I WILL NEVER USE PLATINUM PLUMBING EVER AGAIN. I don't mind paying someone a fair price when work is done; however, I sure don't appreciate being overcharged just because Nick thinks he can get away with it. In my opinion, that is exactly what Nick did.The work was done during normal business hours. If the repairs had been done after hours or on the weekend, I could understand the higher cost. If you decide to do business with this guy, just get an idea of his various rates. You might want to call to get another quote....before it is to late. read more

A few years ago our sewer line busted from tree roots, after getting several quotes we chose Platinum Plumbing and couldn't be happier. All other plumbers that came out insisted that we had to remove one of our trees if we wanted to replace the sewer line but Nick was able to re-route the sewer line and preserve the existing trees in our yard. Since replacing the sewer line, we have used Nick for various plumbing problems, including when our toddler threw a toy in a toilet and clogged it up pretty bad. Today we have Nick back out to replace a 14 year old water heater and was very pleased with how he spent time explaining the process and water heater components.
