Classic waste your time experience. They will give you a time window, no show, when you call an hour later they tell you the tech is still at his last job. If you can't reasonable schedule appointments you won't get any business from me (and I'd suggest others choose a more reliable business as well). Contacted them thru Yelp for a quote for a plumbing job - faucet replacement. Got a prompt response and was asked to call them for the quote. The lady on the phone gave me a quote and I double checked if there would be any additional charges. She said that would depend on additional work that needs to be done. I confirmed that it would be fair for any additional work other than the replacement of the faucet, should it occur, be discussed at the time of work. The appointment was scheduled for the following day. The technician arrived as scheduled and was wearing a mask, which was appreciated. He assessed the work and asked if I had the replacement faucet, which I did. He quoted a rate which was 4 times the agreed upon rate. There was no additional work that was needed except removing the old faucet and replacing it with the new one. I let him know of the rate that was agreed upon with the office and he said he could give me an additional discount, which was still 3 times the rate. He said that the rate quoted by the office is just for the service visit, which was not what we agreed to over the phone. I was out of options and could not wait another day without a functional kitchen sink, so I agreed to the new rate. The tech completed the work in under 15 minutes. He was friendly and efficient. He cleared the old faucet but no clean up of the work area was done after the replacement. He mentioned about a free membership which was part of the total fee that I was charged and that I could use it for AC tune ups and other services. No details were given and I was asked to call the office. I was not interested in the membership and given this experience, I highly doubt I will use their services again. Am not a fan of businesses that take advantage of a bad situation. Barring the pricing discrepancy, I have no complaints about the work that was done. Wish they were upfront and set clear expectations about their pricing from the get go. read more

We had a broken water heater needing to be looked at by an electrician. When we called Wilson, who we have a membership with, they said they didn't have an electrician on staff and recommended someone to look at our water heater. A plumber at Wilson also reached out to offer us assistance with a replacement water heater if the electrician wasn't able to resolve our issue. We decided to replace the water heater since ours was already very old. We were insanely overcharged for a $900 water heater and 3 hours of work in an easy access location. At the time of payment, there was a misunderstanding on price as we receive a member discount, so we thought we were paying $1,300, which we felt was reasonable. When we checked our bank statement the next day, we saw that we were charged $3,300 (a $700 member discount was applied to the $4,000 total). We contacted Wilson to discuss the misunderstanding, which they rationalized the price by saying parts were expensive, while in the same conversation confirming they installed a $900 water heater. They couldn't give us a cost breakdown to explain or show why labor cost $1,000/hour. I then got quotes for water heater replacements from other plumbing companies -- most of which were less than half the price and the closest quote being more than $1,000 cheaper than Wilson. I shared this with our contact at Wilson who said the owner would refund us at least $1,000 (but couldn't confirm an exact amount) due to the major discrepancy. We have been waiting for three months and have received no refund. I have called the office several times and been told my call would be returned, which it never has. Now our water is not staying hot and we can't even get them out here to service our home or cancel our membership since they ignore our calls and messages. read more

Above and beyond. I called them for dryer vent cleaning - we just got a new dryer. Dan did that. Beyond that, though, Dan made us aware of an important part that the installers failed to install that could be a fire hazard. And then, as we went outside, he pointed out that our neighbors may have a blocked pipe (which we shared with them). We had a busted pipe due to the freeze that happened. Just like everyone else, I was scrambling to get a plumber. Wilson Home Services had me on their schedule and I cancelled, as I expected another plumber to get to us before they could. The other plumber was unable to get to us that day and wouldn't have been out until this week. I texted and asked if we could get back on their schedule, and much to my surprise, they were able to come out the next day! Brad and his apprentice Mark were very kind and professional. They quickly assessed and fixed what was wrong and were able to warn me of the price based on their initial assessment. read more

They came in record time, and was able to fix something within 15 minutes that was making the Ac not blow cold air. The company we have a warranty on the Ac with, A#1 air, was deceitful and trying to unnecessarily rob us of $929 to fix the problem that Wilson charged only $129 to fix. I am happy with their service and plan on using them in the future for my plumbing or Ac needs, and I highly recommend them. read more

Very expensive. First of all, I was not informed of a service fee of $69. It is definitely above the market price. I only want them to fix a broken irrigation pipe, and the quote I got was $300+. The guy was nice enough to lower it to $250, but it was still crazy. Eventually I hired someone else to do the job with $80, and it took him only 2 minutes. A lesson learned. read more

I made an appointment with this company for 11am today, which I had confirmed the day before. No one contacted me or showed up for the appointment so I had called to see what had happened they had explained that my appointment was "lost." I scheduled another for later in the day and when no one showed up for that one I called to see what happened. The owner himself Mr. Wilson happened to answer and explained to me that they were helping people all over the metroplex due to the recent snow storm and that I would just have to wait. I explained my frustration with the original appointment and received no apology, just more explanations about how they are busy and how long he has been in the business. I explained that I needed them to inspect the sewer line of a house that I was intending on buying and that time was a factor and that his team was knowledgeable of my situation from earlier in the week. I was told "Well if the sewer line was a concern to you, you probably shouldn't buy the house anyways." The service they were hired for was to inspect the sewer line so that my realtor and I could make that decision. NOT HIM! We waited even longer for someone to come and when they got there the camera to inspect the sewer line didn't even work. His crew was polite and apologetic, and I imagine do great work normally. Mr. Wilson himself was rude, and condescending. Since he felt the need to give me his unsolicited advice, here's a little for him: don't be condescending to your customers when you can't even book appointments correctly. read more

This is by far the worst company I've ever interacted with. They didn't show up for the appointment that they set--despite even calling to confirm the appointment with us the day before--and then set up another appointment five hours later. The kicker is that they were 2.5 hours late to the second appointment, and the camera (for which the entire appointment was for) didn't even work. The owner of the company didn't even apologize and instead attempted to explain why the appointment shouldn't have been kept because of how busy they are. The only thing I'm thankful for in this whole experience is that I didn't have to give them any money because I hope they never make another cent. read more

I always have received good service from Wilson. They are very efficient when it comes to scheduling and communicating. In both instances in which I've needed same day service, they've been able to accommodate me. Brad is a real pro on the plumbing side. They aren't the cheapest around, but you know it will be done right the first time. read more

The issue with our AC was rather involved but this company was great every step of the way, replaced the blower motor, diagnosed and fixed the underlying cause so that it wouldn't happen again, helped explain the process as they went along. I called Wilson Home Services on a Saturday as I was not able to finish installing my water heater on my own. The receptionist that answered my call was very nice and polite. She let me know a technician will contact me back with availability and time. I received a call within 30 mins from Chad, the plumbing technician. Chad was very professional and straightforward. He advise me his available time and the cost. Remind you this is on a Saturday morning, this business was available to help me and charge a reasonable price. He even contacted me letting me know he was on his way and also show up on time. When on site he even put on "shoe covers" so he doesn't track dirt onto my floor. He evaluated the situation and provided a written statement/cost to let me know exactly what is being done and the final cost, A+ professional. His craftsmanship was very good, also provided me with helpful info to maintain the water heater. I highly recommend this business and Chad for your plumbing needs! read more
