I have had a terrible experience with this business. From the moment I stepped in for my eye exam, I felt pressured and uncomfortable. The doctor tried convincing me, more than once, to buy my contacts from her even though I said I usually order from 1800 Contacts. At one point I even said, "I don't want to be pressured" very nicely and she backed off a little. However, each time I've ordered my contacts from 1800 Contacts and they've contacted her for my prescription, I have received phone calls, emails, and text messages from the business asking me to buy my contacts from them instead. In addition, this last time that I ordered contacts, the doctor told 1800 Contacts that she would only "approve" me to buy one box (not the two boxes I requested). This is clearly her passive aggressive way to get me to order from her instead. Unfortunately for her, I called 1800 Contacts and worked it out and received the order I requested... after all, she cannot hold my prescription hostage when it hasn't even expired yet. Yes, the office is clean and in a nice location. And I'm all for supporting small and local businesses, but they are extremely overpriced. More than anything, the pressure and aggressive sales tactics are NOT worth it. read more

5 stars across the board My husband and I recently moved to Pasadena and were on the hunt for a new optometrist. We decided to try this office and we were beyond impressed. Service- making an appointment was a breeze. Dr.Mehrabyan was able to accommodate our schedule. We were treated to a unique eye exam experience. As others mentioned the process was detailed yet moved at a brisk pace. Selection - my favorite part was the selection of glasses. Using smaller brands, many of the glasses are handmade with durable materials. I know I sound like an infomercial! But this is the case, I would rather spend good money on artisan craftsmanship rather than pay the same for cheap plastic that has a high end designer's name stamped on the sides. Speed- we were given 10 day lead time, however both pair came in about 5 days later! I am scheduling an appointment for my grandparents as well. This has been the best optometric experience I've had. This office is pristine and extremely clean in a great location. She is a very knowledgeable doctor who truly cares for her patients. I've never experienced a doctor that takes the time to really explain things to you on a human level. I used to go to Linden optometry because it was near my house and hated it from the moment I walked in. I never had the same doctor and I was passed around to so many different rooms. Dr. Elda has always impressed me with her knowledge, service and amazing selection of eye wear. I stumbled on Accessoreyes only because I was looking for a new pair of Face-a-Face frames which so few optometry retailers carry. I didn't have vision coverage for frames but she provided me with a discount that was much appreciated! She also has done a fitting for me for contacts which were so comfortable (even with my complex prescription) after she provided me when test lenses; but I've not yet had the chance to get filled unfortunately.... Soon though! My prior glasses were very scratched and the coating failing.... Dr. Elda only uses a top notch lab and the lenses and coatings are amazing. I came to Accessoreyes Optometry looking for a new pair of glasses after hearing about it from my spouse - it was an exceptional experience! The practice is beautifully laid out and they have a great selection of frames available. The optometrist, Dr. Mehrabyan, administered an eye examination. Throughout the entire time. Dr. Mehrabyan was patient, professional, and made sure to explain each portion of the exam. She also did a great job of explaining my lens options and provided me with a fair assessment of cost vs benefit for each option. I recently saw Dr. Mehrabyan for the first time and had the best experience. More importantly, I can SEE! For the last several years, I have noticed a steady worsening of my vision (unable to see street signs, increasing the font on my Kindle every 6 months, etc.). My former optometrist wasn't concerned and did not recommend any change in my glasses last year. So when my annual exam came due this year, I decided to try elsewhere and am so lucky I found Dr. Mehrabyan. She gave me the most thorough eye exam of my life and soon established that not only were my lenses inadequate, but that I need transitional lenses. She then helped me pick out an awesome, lightweight pair of Mykita frames that look so good on me (and I have a challenging face, so this was no small feat!). I was so excited when the glasses arrived. It's a whole new world for me! Did I mention that I CAN SEE?!? As others note, Accessoreyes is not the place to go if you want major brand frames in an hour. Dr. Mehrabyan carries only boutique brands that are top-quality. You will spend more, but I think it's absolutely worth it if you can afford it.
