Brand new AC system- absolutely HIGHLY recommended company!…read more I went with Connor AC based on a friend's recommendation (used for their AC system) and because they were local to me and easily accessible. Consult and walk thru was done by Jarred- absolutely professional in all mannerisms, dress, prompt, follow up, ...and easy on the eyes as well. I put the job off for a year bc it was just too much - cost too much and too much invasive work. I have a separate upstairs and downstairs AC units and the downstairs one literally breaks down every summer, electric bills skyrocket, house never gets cool, different guys adding all kinds of freon and tinkering around trying to get our house to cool down in 100deg Cali summers! Finally my downstairs one just broke down 80-85deg inside the house on a 100deg day. I called back Connor and asked them to update the proposal (post- Trump and tariffs) and was determined to make it work this time. My job entailed taking out my 2 old outdated builder's grade 10SEER fans in the backyard, then having the concrete that was custom built underneath them re-done. Then a whole new 16SEER Lennox top of the line system would be installed. And then it rained. Literally never rains in Cali but all 4 days of my proposed job showed forecasted rain!! Day 1- John and his helper Sebastian came to start the job. Work hours were about 8-2ish. They took time to prep and lay out floor covers to protect my carpet and tiles. Then they removed my 2 furnaces inside the attic thru a tiny 2x2 trap door in my closet! John and Sebastian work quietly and efficiently and really surprisingly make the most of their time! 4 days later I had 2 brand new AC units, got the heat working in these colder winter temps, John even re-routed my ducts to improve airflow and basically cleaned up my attic - which now resembles a fully functional clubhouse! I found this company via IG, and how lucky am I!…read more Lately my dryer warning light has come on, and the warning light was for air-flow. So I decided to have Tornado HVAC come and check it. Eddie came from Tornado HVAC. He is friendly, polite, and honest. After looking at the dryer (inside the house), he also went outside to look at the exit dryer duct. We could both see it was visibly clogged, but not fully clogged. Eddie grabbed his tools and went to work. After 5-15 minutes, a cloud of lint and dust filled the outside air. I lost track of time, because I was in complete awe of how much lint came out. I am including photos here, because a picture is worth a thousand words. What you see is ten years worth of accumulated lint. I should have done this earlier. Thanks to Tornado HVAC and Eddie my dryer air flow is excellent! More importantly, the risk of dryer-lint fire is now gone.

The building management company did not know, so New Century went through the lobby, did not cover the elevator and was about to take down the door, up an entire flight of stairs and then take out another door. Smart guys! Considerate guys! So very caring, courageous and ingenious. Disrespectful and outrageous. One can only imagine if they would damage anything along the way. They could not care less. Their doing, the homeowner's responsibility. One of the two actually said "we know 'tenants' like you. Are you the manager?" Do you treat tenants differently? Why are they nothing to you? I am just the caregiver / cleaning guy. But it matters not who is the person - to New Century all are just obstacles on the way. Remove the doors, push the person, do whatever, cut corners. Excellent service! Nastiness, not kindness. Disrespect instead of being grateful and proudly representing your employer. What a shame. The problems began at the end of the second day, there was no airflow going into one of the rooms. A second team was sent out to assess the issue two days later, but they were unable to resolve it. Meanwhile, other rooms had excessive airflow making them uncomfortably cold, while some had barely any at all. When I called the office to report these concerns, the representative attempted to upsell me on an additional services. In total, what was estimated as a two-day job took three weeks to resolve. Throughout that time, I had to make repeated calls and persistently follow up just to keep things moving.

I called Sam late afternoon, he came out the following morning. He took the time to listen to my concern, and then diagnosed the condenser issues. Turned out the previous homeowner had done a half assed repair and used the wrong fan motor (wouldn't move enough air through the condenser). Sam replaced the fan motor and a couple other parts. Unit is now working perfectly. It's 98 degrees outside as I write this and 71 in my house. I cannot overstate how much I appreciate that Sam took the time to figure out what was wrong rather than just recommending replacing the condenser. He probably saved me $5k.
