Fantastic food, 20% off margaritas on Saturday, and exceptional service. I think this maybe be a new tradition for my boyfriend and I!

First off, my brother became very ill and was in the hospital after eating here years ago, as did most of the large group he was with. So, just want to get that out of the way. Other than that, I don't really have much to say about this place other than the fact that I don't like it at all. The service was horrible and not very friendly. I've been here many times with friends. The chips and salsa are okay, but nothing special. The food isn't very good at all. The atmosphere is surprisingly pretty nice. I wish I didn't have to give this restaurant a single star. We chose to go here because of the decent reviews. Horrible decision. The server should have been our red flag from the get-go, as he barely acknowledged us and was clearly distracted by something in the distance the entire time we were trying to order/ask questions. He was very rude and even double charged us for drinks. When he was asked about it upon check out, he just shrugged and said "whatever", then proceeded to call another employee a "punk b*tch" in spanish. So the service was disturbingly horrible to say the least. Then, there's the food... this food was absolutely terrible, not to mention it made my family of 4 sick the rest of the evening. One could argue that maybe the spices in Mexican cuisine is what upset our stomachs, BUT, we just moved here from Southern California where authentic mexican food became a staple in our diet and never once did it make any of us sick. This place is far from "authentic" and I wouldn't even classify it as "Americanized" mexican food... just bland mush. Bottom line, it was an unpleasant experience and we won't be returning nor will we be recommending it to anyone. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant, though I'm not as impressed with their other restaurants south of Dayton, in Cinci and Lebanon. The wait staff is super friendly and competent. Food orders are always fast and hot reaching your table, and really satisfying. They don't skimp on their drinks either, I'm a big fan of their margaritas. Also love their chips and really fresh tasting and delicious salsa. My only complaint would be that they might be a little too heavy handed with the cheese. read more

We stopped at this place because my husband saw good ratings on Google. The one star is for the employee who actually took the time to check on us and give us a carry out for our food(I only ate the rice everything else was extremely salty hubby decided he would try eat it later). First of all the place is like a sardine box. We somehow ended up in the middle of the check out area to be seated(bad restaurant set up) . Staff is not all that courteous. Our servers attention was partially there and the guy who brought out our food practically slammed the plate on our table and had a unpleasant attitude. We weren't completely done with our credit card transaction before the guy who just checked us out threw the receipt on the counter and started to walk off. I was thinking thanks you have a good day too! I think most people were there for margarita specials (Saturday) because the food is not all that great. It's packed with sodium and very oily. Not trying to be rude or racist but sorry to say the only reason this place has decent ratings is because it's clientele is a group of Caucasian ppl who don't know what good Mexican food is! I wish that I could introduce them to some real authentic Mexican food so they can see what they are truly missing out on! I would never recommend or visit this place again. This is a good place to eat. They have good fajitas. The margaritas are very good. Inside is a little tacky but the friendly staff and portion size more than makes up for it. It is reasonably priced and they have a full bar. Free tortilla chips and salsa and their white cheese dip is amazing. I will defiantly go back. read more

Husband and I were in Xenia for an athletic event and had some time to kill. We checked this place out because of its great reviews on Yelp, and it didn't disappoint! Salsa was yummy- fresh, homemade. He got a taco combo that came with rice and beans, and I got a shrimp quesadilla. I was more than impressed with my quesadilla. It wasn't greasy (which is crazy, for a quesadilla) because it was light on the cheese and generous on the shrimp! A quesadilla like that would be $14 or more in Chicago or SoCal, and it was under $10. Service was nothing over the top, and we had to ask for refills, but it wasn't a problem because our server walked by often. Fast, yummy, good value, and not greasy! read more

Food is good, but the Acapulco margarita is the only margarita I will drink now. It's the best. Make sure you order the Acapulco margarita (not just a margarita). It's made differently and is better than any other margarita. read more

Line out the door ! Thanks to the staff we got seated in no time . For as busy as they were everything was great .food took some time but we were kept in chips and drinks . I gave 5 stars because in m opinion it doesn't get any better as far as mexican goes. The staff is the best. They seem to love what they do and always give special attention to the kids. We decided to try this restaurant because of positive reviews from people we know. MISTAKE!! The waiters seemed to be confused and not very friendly. We ordered sweet tea, and they took the glasses away when they were half empty to "fill" them, and all they did was add ice and water to thin them out. They seated obnoxious kids from a large unruly family next to us (my wife and I). The food was not very good, and my wife's dinner had a 2 inch chicken bone in it. Then to add insult to injury, they would not honor the coupon that I had, even though it was not expired and it was from the local paper. No reason was given for not honoring it. I didn't argue because I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I will never go back to this restaurant. The people who recommended this restaurant did so because of the margaritas. Well I guess you have to be stoned in order to enjoy this place. Run away..RUN AWAY!! save yourselves before it is too late!! read more
