Fairfield and Cincinnati in general seems littered with Mexican restaurants but we always seem to come back to this one. Although it's ALWAYS busy, there's rarely ever a wait to sit. You're immediately served chips with two different types of salsa (which is great for us because my husband prefers a more chunky, onioney salsa while I prefer a more salty/spicy salsa). They have a full bar and while I always order a margarita, it's not the best I've ever had (but they usually have some kind of deal on them and even the smallest is HUGE for the price and not at all watered down). I've tried almost everything on the menu and while I don't recommend everything (the taco salad and the tamales being among my least favorite) there's PLENTY if delicious food to order. My husbands favorite being the super fajita (steak chicken shrimp onion mushroom and pineapple- large portion that he can never finish an he's a big guy for $13) and mine is the burrito California (Shrimp chicken steak chorizo queso onions beans and pineapple - I usually save half for lunch the next day - $9) DELICIOUS! Although there are some downfalls of this establishment, OVERALL, definitely can't go wrong here :) Certainly one of the best in the Fairfield/Hamilton/West Chester area. read more

A C A P U L C O - CLOSED? We love Acapulco for their Mexican food, but we found out they closed when we drove by this evening for dinner. We heard they had gotten raided by the immigration department. This might be untrue, but we are hoping they re-open soon. read more

I have been going to this restaurant for years (and I mean YEARS), and their food has never disappointed me. My favorite meal when I was younger was the chicken enchilada with lots of red sauce. (I don't know the actual name) But I've grown to really love the steak fajitas! They serve it to you on the pan and while its still sizzling! We get it with just the steak, onions on the side,a side of shredded cheese, and they also give you rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, rice, and beans. We got in just around 600 on a Wednesday evening, our server seemed disinterested in our group of 6. The food was tasty and all special orders were made correctly, but we waited a very long time for refill or or checks. Fast for lunch. Made carnitas tacos in a flash. Was in and out in plenty of time with chips and 2 kinds of salsa too. Good quality as well. I really appreciated the speed of getting my food and it was cheaper than a lunch at chipotle!!! read more

This is my family's absolutely favorite restaurant in southwest Ohio. We go there a couple of times a month or more often and have introduced it to our friends and family, who have also made it their favorite. We don't even need to look at the menu anymore. Our family affectionally calls it by our nickname "#11" for the #11 lunch special, the Hot & Spicy Burrito. I'm torn each visit whether to choose the Burrito Verde or the Pollo Loco as both are generous in size and oh so good. The Classic Chicken Chimichangas are a favorite of one of my family members while the Hot & Spicy Burrito is of another. Another's favorite is the Deep Fried Chicken Chimichanga although he also loves the Carne Asada and the Steak Especialidad Acapulco. I have never had anything that I would not recommend. I have a good friend who always orders the nachos. The spicy salsa is the very best I've had including some of the best Tex-Mex restaurants in Texas. The queso dip is awesome as well. The frozen margaritas are the best anywhere. They are the real deal and are made the way they are supposed to (from the original method created in Dallas) in an icy machine. A visit to Acapulco for the margaritas alone are worth the trip. The wait staff are really incredible. They take the time to become familiar with their customers and are so friendly. They always make us feel like we are the most special customers they have and my friends tell me they are treated the same way. We love this restaurant so much that we seldom go anywhere else. It is our go to for all special occasions like birthdays, weekends and any other excuse we can think of. When it comes to Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants I am very picky. I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially the one in Fairfield. read more

The food here is really great. Portions are large and the price is good for what you get. I do not however like their margaritas. They do not have a traditional bar, and the drinks are pre made mixtures in electric shades of blue or green. They do have extremely large alcoholic drink size options for those who might like to share. read more

My favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. I've tried the others but I always come back to Acapulco. The service is great and I love the food. I usually stick to the same 2-3 menu items but every now and then I will branch out. I have not been disappointed in anything I've tried. They do have carry out and I will literally drive all the way across town when I have a craving for Mexican food to pick up my order. I don't care. Nothing else hits the spot when I have a craving for Mexican food like Acapulco. My BFF and I regularly meet here to chat and enjoy a good meal. The service is fast and friendly. read more

Acapulco is one my family's favorite restaurants. The waiters are always really nice, present, and helpful. The salsa is pretty decent. I've enjoyed most entrees I've had there, but my favorite is The Acapulco with chicken. It's basically a tortilla with melted cheese sauce, tons of chicken, and onions inside. It's served with guacamole salad and rice or beans. I always order the rice and it's probably some of my favorite mexican rice I've had. read more

Best Mexican food I know of! I have been coming here for years. Very highly recommended.

I went to dine there with a large party of 28. My wife and I ordered the steak tacos. When eating the first one I noticed the steak and the tortillas were tough. I figured it was just a fluke with that particular taco so I gave the second taco a try. There was no difference. My wife had the same experience. At that point I didn't try the third. When the waiter came with check he told me the cashier will refund me for that meal. Even though my wife's meal was equally bad I expected to pay for one at the most. I was met at the cashier by the restaurant manager or owner. He immediately began to argue with me about why I ate 2 out of 3 tacos, I explained what I said above. He made a scene insisting that I should have gotten the waiter's attention after the first bite. There were many others on line waiting to pay so I told him I wasn't going to argue the matter. He told the cashier to charge me the full amount and walked off in a huff. That was a pretty stupid business move, especially when we had a party of 28. You be the judge. read more

I really love this place. I don't drink, so I cannot review the margaritas. I can say that apparently everyone else in the restaurant loves them because I was the ONLY person that did not have a ginormous ecto-green glass of liquid in front of me. One couple came in only for the the margaritas. The cheese dip is awesome, and apparently has real dairy in it because my lactose intolerant fiance pays the price for the next 24 hours. It is the perfect consistency, not too runny. The salsa is meh, but the chips are great. I've never gotten a stale chip there. I almost always get the seafood chimichanga and I can't find a better one in this area. I think this is the only place I can actually get a SEAFOOD chimichanga with shrimp and crab (probably fake, but I really don't care). If this is your thing, I suggest trying it. My fiance always gets the carnitas acapulco, it's great too. Unlike many other places the meat is tender, moist, and not overcooked, it has a kick but does not make my rather bland palate hate me or life. They ARE almost always busy and it is not a place for a quiet dinner for two. read more

Decent food, friendly staff, and good service. Depending on what you get, the portions can be insanely large. It's the best I've found in the area. We have been coming back fairly regularly for a few years now. I'm not a huge fan of salsa, so I get the cheese dip. I dump whatever is left on my Burritos Supreme. We have been going here regularly since they opened. The Acapulco is my favorite dish. Surprisingly good beef in the steak version (also comes in chicken). I always order cilantro to add to the entire dish. They offer two salsas, the mild is basically just tomatoes. Neither is outstanding. The lunch combo number one is wonderful. The tamales not great ( too much corn meal), but literally everything else on the menu that we have tried was quite good. read more
