If you eat steak, go eat here! If you're vegetarian and you eat fish, go for it! If you're all the way veg, well, it wouldn't be top of my list based on what I had last night. My family and I ended up here after walking on St Laurent and overall it was a great choice. Cosy, welcoming, not too loud, super friendly service, and my family all loved what they ordered - chicken, shrimp, and sizzling steak plates. Value for money was very good, everyone cleared their plates and were perfectly full. They didn't have their usual vegetarian plate available so what I got seemed like a bowl of sauce for another dish with the protein taken out. Ouf. I'd still go back because the mango salad was lovely and I'd be into trying what they usually do for vegetarians.

The chicken and steaks were awesome, I love the vinaigrette, I used it with everything lol

Amazing food and service! We had a some interesting conversations with the owner as it was a quiet post COVID-19 weeknight. If you want to try delicious and authentic Brazilian food in Ontario, this is the place to go.

Incredible. It's not often that one can have a totally bad experience from the very beginning to the very end of a restaurant outing - quite an achievement in itself. From the start - even after making a reservation, it took 20 mins to sit us down. It was one hour from sitting down to then get our starters. We had the fried fish pieces and calamari. Both of the dishes were soggy, wet, and not very fresh tasting. The batter separated immediately off the fish. Not good, and one of the rare times that I don't finish the dish - even being very hungry at this stage. For the main, I tried the "Chicken Xim Xim" - some sort of stew. Many things wrong with this: The dish itself was bland, flavourless, and any other adjective you care to use to describe 'tasteless'. The chicken didn't seem right at all - both in freshness and texture. Seriously, I've had better microwaved curries. This was served up with some plain boiled rice that had the texture of the dry stuff left over the day before. The side salad tasted like a standard bagged faire, with a balsamic dressing straight from the store-bought bottle. The service was lackadaisical and uninterested at best. Washroom needs attention in the cleanliness department. The knockout blow was the $80 price tag for two mains, the starter, and three drinks. The 4.5 stars this place has makes me seriously doubt the integrity of the '5 star' reviews for this restaurant - I would say they are either fake, or they were drunk when they were either eating at this place or writing their Yelp review. I also doubt whether half the celebrities on their photo wall actually went there - Robert de Niro? I don't think so. Three hours, $80, and a Saturday night I will never get back.

    The Churracao was amazing.

Excellent hospitality and excellent service. Rex the owner is a great host. Can't wait to go back for another meal. Highly recommended if you're looking for traditional Brazillian food and atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious and amazingly friendly service. The caipivodka was perfect, the coxinha was tasty and the bobo de camarão was just right. Highly recommended.

Excellent Brazilian food. Have Brazilians friends in Salvador de Bahia, and the Acajou Br offers really good non Canadian localized Brazilian food! It's true, the service was a little long though we were 12 for a lunch... The rice was too dry for my feiojada : certainly they kept it warm in the oven as we were 12. À little overpriced for a lunch but the quantity and quality worth it. The chef told us they're bringing a new menu for lunch. Excellent service as well, very warm and the chef came to speak with us personally!

Truly excellent Brazilian food. The owners are a witty Brazilian man and his mother. She handles all the cooking with precision. Nothing here is rushed, or can be, for that matter. The decor is quaint, the service laid back --almost to a fault -- but the caipirinhas are truly outstanding and the food reminded our Brazilian friend of his childhood. As for us, non-Brazilians, we were thoroughly enchanted by the whole experience. Strongly recommended. And the prices are very reasonable, by the way.

I don't normally do AYCE because it's hard to get good food when it's "unlimited". I would prefer à la carte...but that being said, I came here because the family wanted to eat here. I came here with a strategy. I carefully documented the 9 different meats served on the Turnstile menu we were served so that I could figure out which ones I liked the best and could ask for seconds. They say it's 10 but in reality it's 9. They count the bacon-wrapped turkey as 2 kinds of meat. So here are the 9 kinds of meats stack up from best to worst: Top Pick: Rib steak--this was the winner for me. I could go there and just have a plate of this and I'd be done. It's got fatty bits in there so it's tender and full of flavor. Try to get the outside parts where the fat is nicely rendered. Runner Ups: Chicken drumstick heads--tender, juicy and full of flavor Sirloin--this was quite good Pork--very tender, a bit fatty Neutral: Lamb--tender but very lamby tasting so make sure you enjoy lamb!! Pork sausage--overall good, garlicky; I had a half and it was too salty but then the second one wasn't as salty so not sure what to make of it. Turkey bacon--juicy turkey, bacon is a bit salty but I kind of expected it Filet mignon--was decent but needed more flavor Least favorite: Roast beef--a bit tough and needed salt So there you have it! If I were to go again, I would probably just eat the top 4 and if I had room, I'd pick from the "Iffy" selection. They offer fries, sweet potatoes, very very peppery sauteed mushrooms, salad, beets and rice with the Turnstile menu. I actually really like their salad dressing. Kind of helps lighten the meat meal. The grilled pineapple was good but not as good as I remembered it a number of years back (7 years I believe) but the good thing is that everyone gets served both ice cream and pineapple. Our servers were really nice and even spoke Spanish with my Spanish speaking family. Don't be afraid to flag them down to get more of a type of meat. Overall, a decent place to eat weeknights as it's only $33.95 for the turnstile menu but I probably wouldn't come eat on weekends.

Our server was really good and the food was really good. We tried the non-alcoholic guava mule. The guava was nice and sweet and complimented the spicy of the ginger beer. We ordered a French onion soup, steak Diane, and a beef Wellington. The entrees came with choice of salad. We tried one of each , house Gibby salad and the blue cheese wedge. This was a lot of food for us. The French onion soup was my favorite, good flavor, lots of onions and that nice browned cheese top. Both salads were good, the house salad was a little lighter since the blue cheese wedge salad had a rich blue cheese dressing and bacon bits on top. The steak and beef Wellington was also good. In general, we ordered medium rare, it was a little bit rarer than I expected but not I'd edible. So something to think about if you need your meat to be cooked more. The prices seemed fair for a steakhouse and for the amount of food we ate.

The ambiance wasn't what you'd expect if you've been to another Milsa. It's an open floor plan, and the others have a more cozy feel. This was just a large dining room with Several TVs on every wall. The staff was very friendly, which, honestly was one of the only saving graces here. The bartender was obviously inexperienced. We ordered margaritas and they not only put salt around the rim, but directly in the glass, so every sip was a mouthful of salt. We let them know, and they gave us no hassle about it, just remade them, only they made it double the size. And when you have a frozen drink that is towering over the top of the glass, you have to drink it quickly or else it melts and overflows. Not my idea of fun on a Wednesday night. They could have either given us 2 for the price of one, comped the drinks, or actually just remade them and charged, which would have been fine. The gesture was very sweet and the waiter was great and fun, just not practical. Now, the food... almost everything was either undercooked or over cooked. The roast beef was dry, the sausages were dry, the filet was nearly raw. The chicken was ok, and the garlic bread was to die for! I'd go back just for that bread, not gonna lie. Add to all this that the prices were higher than what is shown on the website and higher than downtown, which for the south shore is odd... it wasn't a stellar experience. With that said, they are new, so I plan to give them another shot once they've had a chance to get their feet wet, and maybe go on a weekend to see what the vibe is like.

Our waiter was friendly and attentive and happy to answer questions about the food (the menu was Portuguese/French only). Complementary baskets of warm, fresh bread were served. We started off with fried shrimp in a savory sauce from the tapas menu to share. Entrees came included with soup/salad of the day and dessert. The cream of carrot soup was delicious. The entrees were generously sized and extremely flavorful. My grilled calamari had onions, avocados, and potatoes with a sauce. The dessert was the Portuguese classic pastéis de nata; it was rich and warm. There was a wide selection of beers and wines. Between the 4 of us we ordered 1 tapas dish and and 4 entrees for $105, plus 7 beers for $38. Definitely worth it for the amount of food and how delicious it was.

My wife, son (9) and I visit Longueuil about twice a year from where we currently live in New York…read morebecause my wife's relatives live here. After they yet again hosted us at one of their places, we took her cousin and the cousin's parents to Silvia Grill, seeing that it was highly recommended and a bit elevated. Montreal has many Portuguese restaurants specializing in rotisserie chicken that we would like to try. We chose this one because we are very accustomed to eating at Brazilian steakhouses. The menu at this Portuguese restaurant is similar to what we're used to so we felt comfortable recommending it; we also bet big on this place because my wife's aunt is an excellent cook, I mean a ridiculously good chef of all kinds of Peruvian foods in particular (my wife is Peruvian, I am a gringo of Italian/Sicilian extraction from New York). Our group ordered their national soup caldo verde, Caesar salad and a bottle of Spanish wine to start (reasonable and delicious). Caldo verde is a soup made of collard greens, potato and garnished with smoked Portuguese chorizo. This one was thinner in consistency than its Brazilian counterpart that we always order in New York, and it is a small serving in a big white plate. It has an earthy flavor of potato and fresh collards, and with just three delicious slices of chorizo it is light and fitting starter to a big meal. My son had the Caesar salad which they said was good. To me it looked over-engineered and a bit overdressed, and it looked to be a very small serving. We omitted the slices of crispy chorizo for his benefit and he liked it very much (at nine years old he has a thing for Caesar salad and salad in general). For entrees it was a whole different story. My wife and son split the special, a flank steak frites. I'm not a fan of flank steak but it was delicious. The French fries were perfect and the side of sauteed vegetables was great, too. I did notice, and this is all over Quebec province where we visit, that the size of the steak is (very) small by American standards so sharing this was not optimal since my son is a good eater. My wife's uncle and I ordered the grelhada mista, or mixed grill, consisting of a delicious quarter chicken (excellent spicy peri peri sauce on top!), a pork, a small serving of steak (flank I think) and their delicious smoked chorizo. The accompanying potatoes and sauteed vegetables were excellent, too. I have no comments on the size of this dish because it was filling. My wife's aunt and her daughter ordered one paella and it looked delicious. It had saffron rice, chorizo, chicken and seafood. They both raved about it and what meant a lot to us was that my wife's aunt was excitedly trying to identify all of the seasonings. My wife's cousin, in fact, said she would order a few of them next week for her two brothers who were not present, for takeaway to have at dinner. The desserts, too, were excellent. Our guests ordered blueberry cheesecake which they said was delicious (this appeared to be French-style cheesecake with blueberry compote). My wife had a caramel flan that was delicious (I sampled it), and I had the national dessert of pastéis de nata. These are vanilla custard tarts that are either served hot or made to order. I've had them before and these were stellar. Overall I highly recommend this place. Our server was great about everything -- he spoke English, French and some Portuguese -- including wine and food recommendations for the uninitiated. I've made it a point to report on some restaurants in Quebec because I've noticed that it's difficult for Americans to navigate that mess of badly presented Google Maps reviews. I'm glad I started with this place!

When the dancing start, the music get very very loud. It gave everyone a headache and we were far from the speakers. It lasted for about 15-20 minutes and don't try to speak to someone, it's louder than a night club. As for the food, the quality dropped since covid. The meat weren't as good as it used too. Chicken had lots of chewy parts. The only good one was the filet mignon which they bring to you at the total end when you're full. Service was very bad. We asked for water at the beginning and wine. We asked 6 times for the water and got it after an hour. The first skewer had only 1 sausage in it, he said he's coming back. We asked 6 times everyone that came if we could have the sausage back. We had them 2h40 after we started eating! We asked for a refill of mushroom and fries, we had them 1h30 after asking for them. Everytime a waiter came around with a skewer, either it was only doing the front 2 tables and moving on (while our plates were empty) or it was empty before reaching us and never came back. It was a very bad and expensive time. I won't be coming back. TLDR the service is very slow and horrible, the gods is mediocre at best and the cost is very high. Costed more than 350$ for 4 persons and an entry level wine bottle. Keg is a way better choice for cheaper!

We wanted to go to a churrascaria, which we've been to many times and know exactly what to expect. This place is AT BEST a wannabe churrascaria, run by, what I think are Arabs instead as I did not see a Portuguese person working there. Full disclosure, for the price, on their website listed as $60/per person, but in reality, they charge $65/per person, FYI, I am comparing them with Texas du Brazil which, depending on location, is still one of the best I've experienced. The BAD stuff: it started with my question, where is the buffet for the sides, as advertised on their website, answered, "We do not have a buffet as we don't have space. We bring you as many sides as you need so we don't waste them." Their sides ONLY included rice, mashed potatoes, iceberg salad, red beet, french and sweet fries, that's it! Now to the "meats". When I asked, I was told there were 14 kinds, in reality, they served at most 8 and all low grade, definitely NOT worth $65. $30 at best!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to my mother-in-law, who was with us, incidentally. You do get full here, don't get me wrong, but it's not worth the $65 and you're not eating any quality meats, maybe 1 or 2 of the 8 kinds/types. There are no women servers or workers, ONLY Arab men. The place felt like conmen ran it. The servers, with a couple of exceptions, looked very criminal. The non-alcoholic drinks were $8 (expensive?), and a pint of beer was $10. You judge. Now to the "dance show". The two samba/Brazilian dancers came close when we got there, maybe around 830, the music started blaring, they started dancing, so-so, nothing wow, I've seen samba dancers a few times, got people to dance, it all lasted half an hour and they left!!!??? I have been to restaurants where they advertise "live music", "live shows", usually the show goes for a while, half an hour or so, then they take a break, then they come again and so on ALL NIGHT!!! NOT here. They're also probably "trying to save money" on that experience. SO!!! I wouldn't go here for the meats, I wouldn't go here for the show. Although we sat inside, the patio outside looked nice. I would maybe JUST go to get drinks outside, although you can probably find much better and nicer places in Montreal. THE GOOD STUFF: NOTHING!
