Service was friendly and staff was super helpful with the menu. The food was fabulous, we stuck with tapas, but I'd love to come back for paella.

So first night out in a year and a half due to confinement, i found this restaurant on Open tables it was one of the very few who had a spot left so i went for it. The reservation was for 9pm a lil late but people are eager to get out and the early bird got the worm and i made my Saturday reservation on Wednesday. I am very happy to have found this restaurant, we lucked out and got a table on the Patio which made the experience even more enjoyable, if of course you don't mind passerby peeking at your food .We had a delicious meal and delightful service. I ordered the White sangria after reading reviews and i could have drank many many pitchers it was soooo good. I had the Shrimps, Grilled Octopus and Seafood Paella, everything was delicious!!! A must try if you like typical Spanish food!!

When I heard that the chef was from my hometown in Venezuela, I knew I had to visit; I traveled from Charlotte, NC, and came late Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent, and the place was fantastic. The quality of that grilled octopus was superb. And the socarrat on that paella was something that I'll talk about for years to come. Also, Gabriel was our waiter, and he exceeded our expectations. The whole experience was worth the entire trip to Montreal.

    Valenciana Paellas

We ordered two drinks, a Valenciana Paella, a Charcuteria Mixta, and a Pulpo Asado. The drinks are okay, but the Pellas was dry and salty (my friend and I drank a lot of water after this dinner). Their service quality is awaiting for improvement. A waitress (not the girl who was in charge of our table) came for picking up the dishes, her mind was at "somewhere over the rainbow": at first, she noticed that we needed a lunch box for the paellas; but, after giving us the lunch box, she directly swept all the leftovers to the paellas we wanted to pack up (which is gross). This girl even didn't apologize for her mistake. She just walked away like nothing happened. Overall, their food is okay, but the service quality really depends on whoever serving you! It may cut off half of your pleasant experience.

We were walking by the area and found this restaurant in Montreal. They were able to find us a table prior to their reservation. Amazing Spanish food and great service.

Came here for a business dinner ( found on Yelp as usual). A couple steps off the main strip leads you to a Spanish delight . Excellent wine selections great you on the menu followed by some Spanish favorites . We ordered everything under the sun: olives, shrimp , croquets, the board and some seasoned bread. Very good service with a lively crowd ( was surprised there were no beef selections ). Nonetheless, a solid choice for Tapas with excellent flavor, ambiance and service

Came here when we randomly felt like tapas and I'm glad we did! It's a very cute underground-feeling place with nice rustic decor. We ordered a ton and all of it was good! Standout was the zucchini flowers. Stuffed with cheese, fried and with a sweet sauce on top. This was probably my favorite thing. Mixta charcuterie board was also very good of course, and I was happy to find out it came with the pan con tomate. Olives, boquerones and patatas bravas were pretty standard but also tasty. Steak tartare came in a hoagie roll and was a little difficult to eat. We also split a bottle of cava (had to.) Service was friendly and super quick. Would definitely come back!

    Piña Colada and Basque Cheesecake

Went for my boyfriend's birthday, the food was amazing, and the presentation was pretty cool especially for the Piña Colada dessert. We also got the beef tartare, tomato salad, seafood paella and basque cheesecake, all plates I'd recommend.

Nice ambiance and a nice place in the plateau to have tapas. Excellent service. We really enjoyed the romantic setting, and our waiter was trilingual (Spanish/French/English). I particularly enjoyed their fried calamari with Spanish peppers and the beet salad. The croquettes or croquetas de queso and jamón were not as flavorful as expected, tasting more of bechamel sauce than anything else. The churros with chocolate sauce were freshly fried, crispy, and a delicious ending to a great evening.

The food was good but I've priced but the small tapas style portions. The chicken and rabbit paella was good but surprisingly small it's a big pan hit very thin. The jamon was definitely not worth it for $30/100g. But the bomba de Barcelona and the Buñuelos de bacalao were delicious. I definitely recommend those.

I'm very lucky to have found this spot through Yelp. I had an amazing meal here a couple months ago and have neglected to write a review, so it is time to rectify my mistake! I started with a glass of Cava, which is a traditional sparkling Spanish wine. For the food, we got one of the mixed jámon boards (mix of 3 cold cut meats and 2 cheeses) which comes with tomato bread. We also got a trio of croquettes - ham, cod, and braised oxtail. I liked all of them but my favorite was actually the oxtail which was rich and deeply flavored. We then tried the fried eggplant with yogurt, honey and feta cheese, which was mind-blowing....easily my favorite dish. Lastly, we also shared the tapas sized octopus which was tender and slightly smokey. Since tapas are meant for sharing I had room for dessert so the choice was the churros with chocolate dipping sauce. I could have licked the plate and bowl clean because I have a serious love of chocolate, and these little bites of heaven were light and not greasy. This is a perfect spot for a date, a 5 à 7 with co-workers, a girls night out or any occasion really. They also have a nice little terrasse so get out there!

    spanish omelet - Spanish Tortilla

At first I was worried this place was more money for less quality, but every single dish I got was very good. There was so much flavour so each dish had a distinguished taste palette from the last flavor. This deceiving place is perfect for 3 or more people to get the most for your buck. I've gone with two and three and it was hard to get more than 3 things with two people. The paella is decieving in size though, it looks a lot bigger than you think so anyone above two should get another serving. I even took my father here, who is a very tough job and each bite he was more than satisfied by the dish. He doesn't eat out much but this place reminded him how enjoyable it can be. All of the staff are extremely nice and even a little witty too. I trust the recommendations and suggestions are in the best interest of the customers. Overall my favorite dishes were the Spanish omelet and the meat paella. To add, their wine selection I thought was great and went very well with the food. We all loved the food so much and am definitely going back whenever i can.

Went for brunch in a group of 8 for a UYE- Unofficial Yelp Event. I reserved our table the very night before our set date, (truthfully because I kept forgetting the previous evenings while they were open), the reservation was quick and painless and there was no issues with my last minute stunt. Showing up for opening time the following day (Saturday), we saw we didn't quite necessarily need the reservation, we had the place pretty much to ourselves for most of our brunch. We all had such a good time eating and chatting, we stayed a good 2 hours, I believe, and no one made us feel rushed or unwelcome. Food, some 5 star affairs. Some pretty unfortunate and blatant 3 star affairs. One unfortunate disastrous odour, imo. The unpredictability of a good menu choice and the awful odour inflicted upon the whole is where I remove the half a star. So, 4.5 stars rounded up. I really appreciated the pricing and options of their brunch menu, for 20$ you choose an entrée and a main which comes with a side. However, coffee not included in that price and they don't have filtre coffee. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the "café au lait" I did order, they brought me a latté instead (even though they stated yes when I asked if they had café au lait, yes there's a difference ppl) and it was a very weak, small latté at that. I didn't catch the price, but next time I'll just stick w water, wine or mimosas. For my choices I had the eggs benedict, side of brussel sprout salad and entrée of charcuterie. One of my friends was sure to order the other side option (fruit salad) and a different entrée (the cheese platter) and we shared everything. Meats and cheeses: phenomenal!!! Soooo coming back here specifically for wine n charcuterie and cheese! They do this soooooo well here I can't begin to describe, the meats melt away in your mouth like butter, the cheeses are individually unique and globally perfect, including the lovely little (we believe rhubarb?) jam that accompanied. If not for anything just come for these! Hollandaise for my main was watery, bland and definitely wayyy not enough. Poached eggs too bland for the deep fried cornbread patties they were served on, not enough meat for the cornbread, but when I scraped off all the meat and egg and hollandaise off to eat separately for the 2nd half it was a lot more flavourful and enjoyable. The cornbread really dulls this whole plate and should consider being replaced. The brussel sprout salad entrée was divine! I would order that a thousand times over, it was definitely better than the fruit salad imo. My friend ordered the Tota? Torta? I can't remember the name of it, but we shared bites with most of the table and everyone agreed: he won brunch. It was a fried egg-based potato casserole and he paid the extra 4$ surcharge to have it with Ibericos ham - definitely the right choice. If this is on their brunch menu do not even hesitate on any other choice, just order this and send me a thank you after. Just as we finished eating, the table next to us ordered/received their paella for the family served in a huge skillet...the overwhelming odour of pungent fish invaded the whole dining area and my friend insisted I go outside for respite because as someone who doesn't like fish, it was just all too much for me to bare. 10 minutes later the odour had subsided enough to be tolerable, but had I still been eating when it arrived it would have certainly ruined my meal. At one point my friend dropped his fork, no harm no foul, he just simply picked it back up and put it aside to ask for a new one. Before we even got the chance, one of the super efficient ladies serving us appears out of no where with both a fork and knife in hand inquiring which utensil needed replacement. We were floored. (Pun intended, why not.) That never happens in a restaurant. Ever. These people don't wait to be told or asked to do their job, they are always listening and paying attention to their customers and what you're saying which is a highly impressive quality I barely see at $$$ + establishments let alone an affordable bargain like this spot. So yes, I highly recommend checking out this tapas spot. Make sure to order many items, that way the 3 star affairs don't underwhelm and undermine the 5 star recognition this place actually deserves. And while most people freak out about the Ibericos Ham, if you have to choose, I really must insist the Chorizo is the better way to go: that stuff is killer addictive!

There was a nicely selected set of local beers on the menu. We had a few and they were great. I won't detail them as I think the selection changes routinely. It was tough to decide what to get. I was poutine-curious but was unsure about the foie gras gravy. Andrew ordered the poutine with the duck confit. He loved it and said it was among the best poutine he has had. I went for the traditional mussels as Andrew said this is a thing to get in Montreal, they will do it well. He was right, the bowl was huge and the mussels and sauce were excellent. The only thing I would change is I like a baguette with mussels more than fries so if that is an available substitution I would be all in. I loved this place, I would go back again when I return to Montreal.

This is a bar that also has a small amount of table seating, but the ambiance is clean and nice, not like a dive bar. Our server was great as well. I had the burger and I added blue cheese and pickles to it. They gave me lots of pickles which was great, but the blue cheese was spicy, I think it was blended with horseradish or something. My dad had the French onion soup and the feta with mixed vegetables. To drink I had the L'alveole, which was tasty and similar to a paloma, but could have benefitted from some salt or tajin on the rim.

THIS WAS AMAZING…read more food here was flawless, every dish was absolutely perfect and creative. the ingredients are top shelf quality and put together with tons of care. I had the most amazing meal here. Genuinely the BEST beef tartare i've ever had in my life, it was chopped perfectly and flavor wise just absolute perfection. Rich, cheesy but still fresh and the beef flavor was present and well seasoned. Focaccia was great as well, the grill flavor really stuck with me and was a perfect touch of crunch and flavor. I enjoyed my leeks as well, i've never had them prepared this way so it was a unique touch. Their cocktails were good with some nice twists on classics, I got the oolong old fashion which was a pretty classic old fashion with a slight tea after taste. the highlight of the meal though was the desert . it was brûlée bananas with a chocolate cheesecake and omg that was the best touch to the meal ever. we got the wine pairing with it as well and they went together like bread and butter. the wine was sweet but had a fruitier taste to counteract the richness of the banana and chocolate. it was the most delightful experience and wasn't a bank breaker either. service here was attentive and amazing, extremely friendly and informative. the ambiance was on the fancier side, with darker lighting. during my time in montreal, this restaurant easily took home my favorite.

The service was friendly but they seemed short staffed that night. We were trying to refill our water glasses but it took a while since I couldn't find any waiter or waitress around. Now let's start with the food: Focaccia: 5/5 bread was warm, toasty and tasty but the dip was the highlight Leeks with smoked mackerel, mustard, tobikko: (2.5/5) too creamy with a hint of mackerel and leeks Calamari chou-fleur, asian pear, chili beurre blanc: (2/5) very soupy and too much cream and not flavorful Black cod miso sauce, daikon, kale: (2.5/5) cod was tender but my bite had too much miso on it. It was extremely salty and not well balanced Beef tartare with mushrooms, Asiago: (1/5) mushy texture and way too much Asiago cheese. Flank steak with burnt chili salsa, szechuan pepper sauce, pickled peppers: (2/5) steak was not tender at all and the sauce was overwhelming Fried sea bass with bok choy, soya, nuoc mam (3/5): presentation was great but too many bones with too little meat. Flavor was good and I enjoyed the warm crispy fish with the Vietnamese style salad Overall, my special dinner was disappointing. I felt like the main ingredient never shined and their cheese or cream or sauce were just too overpowering. I really wanted to like Cadet but it fell short of my expectations.

We were in Montreal for several days and decided to go casual on our anniversary and we were craving Mexican food. We made a reservation as the place is crazy busy. We arrived, had to wait a few minutes before we were seated. The hostess looked up our reservation and seated us without saying anything to us. We took our seats and looked at drinks before looking at the menu. Our server took awhile to come to our table, took our drink order and an appetizer order and left. The drinks finally came out along with the chips and guacamole and we decided to make our decision on dinner. We waited, and waited, and waited about 40 minutes for our server to come back to take our dinner order. She was fairly nice, but rushed. Again, we waited and waited and waited for our dinners. We were enjoyed the food, it was flavorful, seasoned well, and really filled our craving for Mexican food. After we finished our dinner, again we waited, waited, and waited for our server to come back to our table. She never checked on us as to how we were enjoying our food. She brought the check, we paid, stood to leave and she said thank you as my husband handed the check back to her. He quickly mentioned it was our anniversary, she stopped and asked if we would want to sit back down and she would bring us a dessert. It was nice to offer, but she could have learned this if she would have taken a moment to talk to us. We didn't need a long conversation, just to feel welcome, and we felt in the way as they were busy. We thanked her, but we didn't want to spend an hour waiting for a dessert, so we graciously declined and left. It really is a shame.
