Hector did follow up with his comment on my initial review by sending out a more senior plumber to come out and diagnose the leak for no charge. The plumber did show up almost 45 minutes past the 2-hour window (with little notice until I was proactive and texted Hector near the end of the window), but he was able to diagnose the leak fairly quickly. In the end, we went with someone else to fix the leak, though, as the quote from Acacias ended up being 40% higher than who we went with. read more

This review is based just on the lack of information I was able to get over the phone today. I called hoping to get a ballpark for how much it would cost to install a garbage disposa. I was told they need to send a plumber to charge me $40 to tell me how much that would cost. I got a phone quote from a competitor (no charge) and I just wanted a ballpark to see how they would compare in price - even just a price range, but I was told they don't do that. I wasn't even able to find out how much hourly labor was over the phone. I see a lot of good reviews on here, and no doubt if I had actually interacted with somebody in person, it would have been great. I just wish they had a little more flexibility in their quoting system (or even offered to waive the $40 fee if they are hired, which they said they don't do.) I guess the company is big enough and gets enough business that they don't need new customers. Just dismaying, that's all! read more

We had a tankless water heater that needed to be flushed. Hector, the owner, was responsive and easy to communicate with, not only for getting an estimate but also for scheduling - all through their Yelp page. They were able to fit us into the schedule quickly. The technician was friendly and professional. Only minor downside was that the work which they anticipated to be about 45 minutes long took closer to 1.5 hours. Not a big deal - just will factor that in the next time we have it scheduled. My husband scheduled an appointment to replace two hot water heaters. Received an appointment for 2-4 pm the next day. On the day of the appointment, my husband started getting calls around 11:30 am so someone could come out. No one was home (which we told them when we scheduled the appointment). When my husband finally could call the technician back, he said he had taken the afternoon off and he couldn't find anyone to send out at 2:00pm. When my husband asked for a supervisor, he was placed on a hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on. When he tried phoning back, they just hung up and wouldn't take the call. Very very disappointing given the good reviews for this company previously. UPDATE: Hector reached out personally and came out during the scheduled appointment time to give us a bid. I have them come out twice. The first was to clear out my drain from the kitchen island. The second was to replace the cartridge in my Master Shower. Both times took a bit longer than anticipated. Garbage disposal has something lodged in it--turned out to be a small metal sheet screw. I did all the YouTube videos and found an object logged, but could Not get it out without disconnecting the disposal from the piping. I didn't feel confident to take/disconnect the unit so I call Acacias as they didn't charge me a year ago for estimate to drain my water heater; therefore, I trust them and had them out. The have a reasonable visit charge and I thought their price on disconnecting the disposal, removing the screw and reconnecting was fair. Excellent job !!! I've built houses for decades and I enjoyed Hector and his crew while they repiped my own home this week. I had most of the repipe companies out to give me bids and I personally didn't like the corners they were going to cut. I wanted a few things different that the normal job and Hector took care of everything and finished early. With everything done to my high standards. Great communication on the phone and an honest man. The customer service experience was awful. I called on a Thursday (early AM) to set up a time for someone to install a kitchen faucet. I was told someone would come between 4pm-6pm. 6pm rolls around and no one has shown up and I hear nothing from the company. I call the next day (Friday AM) and they told me they weren't able to fit me in yesterday (a call or heads up would have been nice) and that someone will come today and they will call me back right away after confirming the time slot. Multiple hours pass and I haven't received a call to let me know what time they will be coming. I call the office again and they tell me someone will be out between 4-6. I should note that I've requested a quote on each of these calls and was told someone would call me to confirm before arriving. I don't receive a call until 5:40 when someone is arriving and they quote me a ridiculous price. read more
